CRIMSON ROSE
You stand once more beside the harbour wall
This is the third night I have seen you there.
I watch you from a distance, proud and tall
A shaft of sunlight glinting in your hair
What is it draws you to that spot each day?
What thoughts of sadness occupy your mind?
The memory of a love far, far away,
A yearning for your homeland left behind?
Sad seagulls’ cries provide the only sound;
You reach out, casting something on the sea
And then, oblivious to all around,
You slip away still steeped in mystery
I look down where the water gently flows.
It’s empty save for one dark, crimson rose

missing you,
I hate it although that's my side story.
The breaking of the chains
The knitting of myself on the ground
The subjection to the crucibles of questions:
Of what reason should my going be?
Oh my good home!
The love of my homeland
The love of my brothers and sisters
The friendship shared with people of my homeland
This becomes my response in the land of aliens.
Love felt and sustained
In my heart there is joy at the thought of my home
Moved with tears if denied to come home
In vain do I live outside the city happiness
A place of rest
The company of the abandoned.
Oh my good home.

TRIBUTE TO NATIVE CULTURE
'Tis the Irish homeland
Racing in me blood lad
On it, I'll take me stand
Of me heritage, I am glad
The bonny lass I call me own
Keeps me feeling true
When days on end I must be gone
With the chores I have to do
But when the time is o'er
For me to be back home
I close and lock the door
Vowing not to roam
I'll keep her by me side
As long as breath is mine
She'll not be denied
On that, she is relying
Irish eyes were smiling
Of that ye can be sure
To send one so beguiling
So wholesome and so pure

caregiving, growing up, tribute,
It was an ordinary day,
when time she came our way.
So young and shy, with a lovely smile
I thought she’d stay for just awhile.
But ever since she cared for us
in everything she does.
She was hired so mom and dad could work.
She, no hard task ever shirked.
So I grew up within her care
she gave a love so rare,
from noon till night and every morn
as though from her I was born.
Now I have grown, I dread this time,
she’s old and past her prime.
She longs these days for her homeland,
I can’t release her loving hand.
I hide my tears but still I cling
to she, the wind beneath my wings.
It is not a normal day,
for my shadow leaves today.

Bangladesh
Bangladesh my Homeland,
Bangladesh my Dreamland,
Bangladesh I love you,
Bangladesh, I live for you.
The green flag out of the red ball,
Plays the flute on golden grains tall.
The motion of charming water lily,
Reminds all Tigers to snatch back lost glory.
Oh my Homeland, Oh my Mother!
Hence you’re rewarded with plenty of rivers,
The Hilsha and its silvery shine
Makes the magpie lovely dance in rain.
Our fishermen and their vessels,
Make the motherland ample
And secure thy royal castle.
Each tissue of thy Jack-fruit,
Can meet up hunger and play flute
We love you, we love our Bangla
Pretty Mom, you’re softy-sweetie Bangla!

City lights at
night
illuminating the metropolis
A thousand, thousand
city dwellers
Greet the evening
with electricity
Overhead clouds
form lovely patterns
Autos whizz by
While the young walk city streets
In search of excitement
and love
The night has a long way to go
A frail man gazes
from his window
He sees the city
lights
He dreams in his small room
Eyes - hundreds of eyes
Tire and begin to close
The city holds answers
if you search
hard enough
They can be found
The asphalt homeland
awaits morning
As throngs leave the city
leaving behind ashes and pity

deep,
Now already we can boldly vomit out:
Nights spent at the bedside;
Late comings to the office;
Birthday present money collected with a trembling hand;
Cards stuck in cash machines;
Cinema tickets;
Rubbish bins attached to electricity;
Contraceptives;
Invented love
History oriented on politics;
Amicable trip ups;
Story of two seas and a little girl,-
As if a chewing gum is our homeland.
Stuck to stomach.
“Pedro, Donaldo,
Donaldo, Pedro, Pedro”…
Let’s everybody massacre our full up children.
With cookies
With chips
With emulsifiers
Overfill stomach and then massacre.
At least they won’t die of hunger.

care, caregiving, change, character, childhood, children, corruption,
What I am doing is not idealism.
It’s a cause for our homeland.
It is also for the benefits of oppressed people.
And oppression should not reign
in the peaceful land of good people.
I may not live longer in this world
and I knew I will die as others will be.
It would be better to help fight for peace in peace
than fighting for peace by war.
There is nothing good to achieve by raging war
and countering war by war.
Peace had become a common piece like candies.
Any person has the right to embrace peace
even only a piece of peace like sweets,
but not a piece in a war for peace!
Let us taste this piece of peace.
I love you peace.

football, jewish, love, summer,
I remember summers past
My arms around pretty women
Making love on the beach or in a car
Summer brings romance in its wake
The years come and go
This evening I flipped on my "Festival of Lights:" CD
Soon autumn will come with the NY Giants
heading off to battle
and the high holiday services
which I always used to attend with my father
He is gone now
But I'm still here!
The presidential elections are coming, too
Someone will win - others go down to defeat
Our nation survives, friends
For all its faults - it is our homeland
Let us hope love triumphs over hate
So we Americans can continue to live decent lives

MY HEART BELONGS TO WALES..............
Where the seas blue waters rise and fall,
Where the velvet hills stand strong and tall.
When the voice of bygone years does call,
I know where my heart belongs.
Where the voices of all angels sing,
In a stadia built fit for a king.
With a pride that's borne from deep within,
I know where my heart belongs.
As spring time flowers caress the lands,
Grass clad mountains and golden sands.
A passion that my past commands,
I know where my heart belongs.
When I come home, with friends I'll be,
In my homeland where my heart is free.
No prouder people than such as we,
My heart belongs to Wales.........

Still being robbed
Please do guard me

dedication, war,
Echoes of bullets and old bombs invade,
So long forgotten by those on parade.
Their hopes and dreams lie shattered, caked in blood,
Unsung, our heroes left to die in mud.
Old news repeats another love has gone,
And somehow the family must carry on.
His staring eyes never saw his child grow,
The hell inside is all his heart can know.
This, the gratitude of his homeland,
And here he dies with none to hold his hand!

blessing, dream, happiness, love, meaningful, relationship, romantic,
I met you in a city
called Strange Land,
for some Hopeland.
They say dreams were
made here,
under the streaks of
Radio City,
on an Island where
you’d find yourself
a lifetime supply of
Coney dogs,
where Alice continues
to search for her Wonderland
this is where I met you
in your homeland,
where you deftly stole
my view of everything
but you.

new york, night, urban,
Putting down the book I have been reading
I look out of my window at the buildings nearby
Thousands of city dwellers reside there
Wonder what is going on in those structures
Lovers making love
Children racing around
Elderly people taking things slowly
The thousands of lives in the asphalt homeland
blend together to form a tapestry
which becomes the heart of the metropolis
Do you not see this?
Open your heart to your homeland!
Feel the pain and joy of your fellow city dwellers!
Feel the beat of urban life as it flows both day and night!

christian, christmas, spiritual,
As darkness fell that holy night
And people slept so unaware
From Heaven shone a wondrous light
That fell upon a manger there
A sacred light so rare and true
Yet only seen by just a few
A matchless light of radiance fair
A Father's love glows brightly there
The light of Christ still shines today
For those who seek to know His way
Oh wondrous gift that we may see
The light of God's eternity
One day on distant Heaven's shore
We'll thrill to what we have in store
A city bright with Heaven's light
A perfect homeland evermore
No darkness there, nor can there be
For this is God's eternity
Where beauty reigns and Christ is King
And light illumines everything.
