Late Night Musing
Putting down the book I have been reading
I look out of my window at the buildings nearby
Thousands of city dwellers reside there
Wonder what is going on in those structures
Lovers making love
Children racing around
Elderly people taking things slowly
The thousands of lives in the asphalt homeland
blend together to form a tapestry
which becomes the heart of the metropolis
Do you not see this?
Open your heart to your homeland!
Feel the pain and joy of your fellow city dwellers!
Feel the beat of urban life as it flows both day and night!
