Dearest soup tech
Who I love and respect
I write to you
So that you may know
I've tried to be here
With iPad and cheer
But the login fails me
No action tells me
Of possible broken links
One maybe
Just maybe....
My iPad stinks
Meanwhile I sigh
As I try to not cry
As I type again
And hope with intent
That you might check in
... And tell me
How to begin...
Xoxo
Wish me luck
I'm about
To push
The
Button...

Colors - Black and White

Life is in pieces of black and white Like a chessboard The moonlight shines through darkness of night Like a barcode ~ Noah chose a raven, then dove Bad luck or peace? A bride in white dressed in pure love Black mourn decease ~ The penguin and the zebra The snow leopard White tiger and the panda Monochrome weird ~ Milk boils when it is heated Tar melts when hot Cotton flies, wool is seated Coal heats the pot ~ I print all of these lines In jet black ink On a white sheet designed To make you think 02/21/17

Your Humble Servant

To me you are a sacred dream
Each warmest hope upon the day.
A glass of wish from precious stream
Bright trace of sun through clouds of grey.

My endless trust in times of need
Our secrets shared we do confide
In passions breath to one I’m freed
Past darkest hour you are my guide.

Protection is my granted gift
To strive for you my sole delight
No one event shall birth a rift
Forever yours my quest to fight.

Perfections promise I shall chase
it's luck you chose my life to grace.

Luck of the Draw

I roll the dice one more time
One more poker card I ask.
I search for one last dime
Train my face to be a mask.

Luck be a lady tonight
Sinatra singing in my mind.
I clutch the rabbit foot real tight,
Love and happiness I will find.

For life's a roller coaster ride
A simple game of craps,
And just who will decide
Which roads and which maps?

Yet when the final game I play
And I tally up the final score,
King of hearts was not meant to stay
Ace of spades just wiped the floor.

Regretfully I fold my hand
I walk away with a sigh.
Love may be very grand
But the stakes were just too high.

The Fisherman's Catch and Release

There was once an old man from Altoona

Who decided to cast for some tuna

      'Twas a mermaid he landed

         He sighed saying off-handed

"How I wish I had caught her much soona!"

Oh! How I would love to make her my bride

But I'm old, grizzled and gray and, beside

      'Twould be my usual luck

She'd take up with some young buck,

So I will release her at next high tide

Heroin

Oh, My Love— Oh, My Love
You seem to have come from Above
	You are my dear Angel
But you are now Such a Stranger
Our Life here was So Short
Yet So Long we did really surely Court
I was going to give you My Last Name
But now you would of put IT to due Shame
I Still do love you with All my heart
Every and All of my heart Every Single Part
Wish you would bring your Life back to me
And Together Forever we could now Forever be
You found a New true Love that Stuck
It killed your Heart for me— and no Luck
Heroine— who’d she save?? She’s not a heroin
She Killed us; deep with- in!!!!

Happy Birthday

Each day marks an earthly rotation full; The ascending sun warms, and setting cools. This day is pinnacle, hence above all; Our star’s broadening smile turns to you. Life beacons thy pleasure for things as such: The love-sick bird and sweet whispering gale. To exist is chance—yearns cherishing much; For it is rare a human knows its luck. Seize this day with vigour—it is quite yours, (‘Though the seizing of days ought be common). Search for the willing, you’ll find them in scores— The persons willing: rejoice by side you. Happy Birthday is all I wish to add, Along with the regards of a young lad!

Flirting With Someone's Wife

To uphold clean ethics you may strive,
But which unfeeling fool does not know
That stolen honey out-tastes that of your hive,
And that the grass is always greener over the fence?

Silver and golden rings do strongly bind
And vows of chastity nail heart to heart,
But the pulsations of newfound love
Rock and rewind things back to the start.

So return that honey-coated flirt with a flirt
And let the tides of destiny take their course;
Nothing ever happens by accident or some luck,
For it’s the hands of providence that gather and toss.

Feel the warmth of newfound love invade your heart
And, babe, return that sweet flirt with a sweeter flirt.

Naomi's Mom and Dad

When mom, Naomi, was your mom not quite,
she was a barista at the Starbucks
just blocks away from where your thunderstruck
dad used to curse the name whose will to write
mistreated sonnets never metered right.
In those days, my daughter, a word like schmuck
would suit your father, quite determined luck,
not talent lacked, should bear the blame for shame
that came from lameness littered kiddy rhyme.
But, with each finished turd, your dad (undeterred)
would march to Starbucks like he’d made a name,
and talk to mom, who taught me, overtime,
love and beauty’s praise are sonnets’ preferred.

Give Me a Break

Break pattern, break chains,
Break the mold, break through new ground
Break the binds, that can hold you down
Break away, break the tie, win the game
I hate to break it to you is what I love to say
Right before I break it down
No I dont belive in luck,
Bad break and break a leg statements
I have no need for them, I hate when people break them out
You wanna make an omelette well
You know you got to break some eggs
Those are the breaks my friends
But not the ones that slow you down

Someone For Everyone

The sweetest words
are those not said
sagacious eyes
of love instead.

To touch is able
to know in fact
a genuine soul
of love intact.

A vibrant accord
in this world I’m sure
luck of the draw
this love so pure?

Desparity of Love

Living on the lower side
Of town just gets me down
There ain't no money
Ain't no work here to be found

There ain't no luck and I
Ain't seen no magic charms
The only magic that I've found
Is in my babys arms

Litter lines the city streets
To show how much we care
Flowers die and birds get high
From breathing filthy air

I look around and try
To see where beauty lies
The only beauty that I've found
Is in my babys eyes

People try to tell me
We're living in a fantasy
But they don't understand
It's real for her and me

They try to tell me
We're making a mistake
If that means loving her
Then that's the chance I'll take

Lily of the Nile

The glamour of a prestigious school lured her far away..
two years would whizz past, of arduous work,
immersing in books, away from home,
away from her beloved...she assured him.
rushing to the station, he wished her all good luck,
holding a bouquet of Lily of the Nile...she admired !
petals shrivel, flowers wither, the moment does not.

Seeing Deep Pain, In Watering Blue Eyes

Seeing Deep Pain, In Watering Blue Eyes

I was not brave, I did not dare to ask
why she cried, hid behind her weeping mask
Seeing deep pain, in watering blue eyes
matching rainfall from dark, cloudy skies

I had not courage, to find out her plight
nor wisdom -to see evil in plain sight
Her shattered heart, crushed by a cruel fiend
she now lost, nobody dare intervene

If we had met before deep heartbreak struck
I would now hold her and thank my good luck
There she sat, crying outside that June dance
to broken to give her NEW LOVE a chance

Then she saw me and gave a tiny smile
Courage came, I crossed that last fearful mile

One Love In a Lifetime

By luck you didn't see me as your bold eyes swept the room.
I stayed within the shadows as you poised to pluck a bloom.

I saw you take her hand and whirl her gaily to the floor.
I hurried to the exit, before I could see more.

Hours later when I hear you quietly insert the key,
I wonder just what story you've concocted to tell me.

I do not want to hear it, I pretend to be asleep.
What I have to say to you can until the morning keep.

One love in a lifetime is how it was meant to be.
One love in a long lifetime, enough for you and me.

One love in a long lifetime would be forever true.
One love in a lifetime proved for you to be too few.

Me In Acrostic

Just trying to stand out instead
Of fitting in. I despise
Dishonesty. I'm a part-time dreamer.
I'm a full-time legend (well, full-time mother).
Everything I do, is in consideration of others.

Wish I'd never fallen in love. Wish
I wasn't an emotional haemophilliac.
Luck has nothing to do with all I've achieved.
Loving you made me this strong, this weak.
I wish I had a slower metabolism,
Afterall, being size zero aint all that.
Melancholic, nostalgic, psychadelic.
Sometimes I get tired of living up to other people's expectations.

Hear You Speak

I want nothing more
Than to hear you speak
If not daily
Then once a week

On the phone
Or face to face
I just want

to hear you say
Hey how are you?
I've missed you so much!
What have you been up to?
Shall we grab lunch?

It would mean a great deal
As I have missed so much
And I tried to reach out
But I've not had much luck

I got so sad
About this whole situation
I'm taking myself
Off on a vacation

But I'd so much prefer
To be somewhere with you
Let's walk in the park
And go to the zoo

So if you're reading this
I hope you know
There's a you shaped whole
Left in my soul.

22

Being 22
And all the things that happen to you
You ain't got a clue where this will take you
But it's the best age, it's really so true

Falling in love
You catch dreams like a dove
You can see your hopes in the sky above
But you trade them again for a couple of $#§7

You may have the best time
And feel really damn fine
You can make it all up and create in your mind
But in the end it's gone for a dime

The best year is over
Better look out for cover
It's all gonna end in a supernova
Just like the luck of my four-leaf-clover

So baby, please make sure
Never feel too secure
Of the things that happen to you
When you're 22

Just Static (Sonnet)

Doors within doors within doors within doors
just like some silly three stooge comedy.
Now I am standing on some Scottish moors,
Islamic Jihad is setting out tea.
It just never ends, and it never stops,
this insane babble just plays in my head.
Now this tower of inanity flops
from one subject to the next subject, dread
visions flow to joy, but now no nearer
to divine Godhead than to the blackheads on
my chin. Oh, I'd love to be the bearer
of glad tidings but nirvana's been down
on her luck lately and still needs a fix.
Getting past that third chakra's just a *****.

Farewell

A yearling asleep
When its mother arrived
She knew it was time
A green meadow, the best place
It was time to say farewell to her fawn
For he was a young growing buck
She wished him good luck

He would miss being
A small spotted fawn
Who
Waits patiently for mother
While gnawing the grass
Oh, he would dearly
Miss those wonderfully
Glorious days

Love, What a Joke

Love can be many things
but it cannot be unsure.
Once you get hurt it's painful
like a disease with no cure.

I don't care to much for love
my loving days are over.
I don't spend money on buying gifts
don't take time to meet a brother.

Why waste your time on dates
put your love on the shelf.
And be proud to stand up and say,
I don't love you, I love myself.

I can go on and on for days
talking about love but it's lust.
I should have shot cupid 2 years ago
because it's him I don't trust.

I hate the thought of being in love.
It gets old, you run out of luck.
So if anyone ask about love,
tell em' the truth, love suck!

Long Gone

It was not my will to live you alone,
fate had my life gone,
how can I gain you back?
when my life is out of luck.

Sweet days,sweet moment,
keeps my heart in torment,
Oh,too long for me to see,
your love you showed in the sea.

Days are parting us away,
love makes me wait at bay,
but all is always in vain,
when you are not around, there is nothing to gain.

Sweet love, does it have to end like this,
letting our planned marriage go amiss,
you terrorists,please let me go,
I have a ground to mow.

If Only I

If I had known better,
If only I had been a bit more clever.
If only, thats all that's left to say.
Still with the crazy ideas I play,
If only you would come back someday.

You left without saying a goodbye,
All that is left is a deep, saddened sigh.
If only I had been wiser in my decisions,
If only I had declared my love with precision.

I repeat the words "IF Only" over and over,
Hoping they'll bring me the luck of a clover.
If only I had been there when you needed me,
Then laying here with me you would still be.

Clouded Love Slam

A hex,
A spell of dark magic
In witches cauldron to stir

Not for death
But rather to suffer well

In this life not the afterlife

For crimes against my broken heart
that brought me to this place

I wish 7 decades of bad luck you trace
the cracks in every mirror my
heart was shattered into

And yet i love you so

And if you said i've made a grave mistake

A feast for you I'd make

In fact i'd even bake you a cake
