If I Could See Your Face

If I could see your face once more
look in those eyes that I adore
my heart would melt with love inside
I'd never leave you til I died.

For when we kissed, my heart would soar
if I could see your face once more
and then we'd run beside the sea
down moonlit paths, just you and me.

In merry mirth we'd laugh and sing
two lovebirds, what a wondrous thing
if I could see your face once more
I'd hold you close beside the shore.

For in my dreams I've heard you say
that you would never go away
now you are gone, my heart implores
If I could see your face once more.

Tears In Heaven

Lovebirds sing a duet up in the clouds
tulips pucker up to kiss the butterflies,
I am surrounded here by serene beauty
with the tears of heaven in my eyes.

Where bright rainbows never fade away
and stars twinkle in the moonbeams,
yet, what is all of this beauty worth
if there is no one to share my dreams.

Still, you shall find me there someday
and maybe want to stay for awhile,
making sure that my tears in heaven
accompany only laughter and a smile.

Lovebirds

Two love birds setting in a tree k-i- s-s-i-n-g.

One fell down and hit the ground. And the

other one came flying after it.

It's a ripe hour under shield
And tranquil carefree splendid of the day
Quoting the splendour combination of beauty
It's the time on the lovers on board.
A butterfly pretty and pigeon beauty
Both are true and are mine
When duos redeemed, I was there
A babel of noise to must bubble
Won't I be backbitten as a backbencher?
I am an ally of the lovebirds
Background temptation must let go here
I am a friend and a best man to be
So, so and so thought should excuse my tract
And let me remain a matchmaker under zephyr.

LOVE BIRDS

On a journey of feelings I embark
Heart filled with love
Brain filled with imaginations
Imaginations about us
U and I
Linked together by love
Love growing stronger daily
Death alone will be our separator
Together we shall live
Forever and ever
My love for you is
Immeasurable
For words alone can’t express it

To the Lovebirds, As I Know You

There's a little Dixie devil in that
six-foot, two-inch frame.
He blinks that wink and grins that smile...
you know him.
Mike's the name.

He loves his darlin' lady, Chris,
and courts her with a flair.
The Basquo and the Southern gent...
a perfect, magic pair.

It's a joy to watch them dance and talk
and flirt and fight and coo.
The Fates have given them a chance
to build one life from two.

Whatever paths in life they choose,
they'll travel hand in hand...
that sweet and fiery female, Chris,
and Irish Mike, her man.

Us Lovebirds 2k10

Us lovebirds of an exact feather.
Whereof our element as we merge together.
Free as air, we as light but a feather.
Living, loving wether what the weather.

A Bucket List For Two

See a play
On Broadway
Spend a day
In old Bombay
Riding on an elephant

Fly up high
In the sky
Birds pass by
As we hang-glide
Falling in love on our descent

Take a tour
And explore
A little more
From the floor
In the Louvre of Gay Paris

Bare it all
In a waterfall
Lovebirds call
And we guffaw
On the big isle of Hawai’i

Spend two nights
And delight
In the sights
Of Northern Lights
Up in the cold and Arctic North

Take a cruise
Sip some booze
Throw our shoes
At the alarm clock snooze
As we go sailing forth

These are the things I want to do
And I want to do them all with you
I am sure that you already knew
It would be my dreams all coming true

A Sacrifice

You are a poetess (a fancy feast of interjections and alliterations): blue eyes, thing lips, long legs, straight bangs, small breasts and a short temper. Our relations are not a dialogue between two sides - my side is silent. Contrary to common perception, poetry divides lovebirds. Alas, I am a poet too.

I simulate excitement when you read your verses out load; I pretend it isn't just about love; I bleed over your drafts at night; I understand I’m done for poetry: it’s not enough for both of us... I switch to prose, my love.

Fluffy and Sweet

We were an innocent couple,
We were naively sweet
Fluffy and soft
Embarking on a great love
We were an unremarkable couple
Just a couple of lovebirds
Sharing secrets, passing notes
We were an uncomplicated couple
I loved her and she loved me
And we just wanted to hold hands
And always be together
Fluffy and sweet,
Coyly smiling
Making wishes
And stealing kisses
We were an unbreakable couple
When we were seven

Lovebirds

He stops to buy her roses and a card
to mark their anniversary.
Strolling absent-mindedly he crosses
to the park and in his reveries he hears
two songbirds singing sweetly in the trees,
a melody that cheers his saddened soul.
He hurries to the nursing home to greet
his darling wife, the half that makes him whole.

He cannot let a day go e'er he sees
her smiling face, that smile of sweet
contentment that illuminates their souls
and redefines their state of grace.
Living on their memories they chatter
like the songbirds, their conversation bright.
He tucks her in and wishes her goodnight,
God bless, sleep tight, (don't let those bedbugs bite!).

Love In the Sky

FRIDAY
I fell asleep kissing her lips
She fell asleep on my arms
while kissing
We fell asleep on each other's lips
How deep is that?

DROWN
Her love is a rare truth
In her words I believe in
she’s my love and my muse
as lovebirds we’re perfectly
caged in.

TILL DAWN
Through hell with it
Through heaven too
In bed with me
In this bed with you
Our love is true.

The Ashes Hold the Heat

Two lovebirds met once
colliding into each other
one joyful wedding day
where fun were secret gazes.

Two lovebirds met once,
adorning the feet of two to
become part of a love story,
going through thick and thin.

Two lovebirds met once,
were torn apart in a sad moment
when two loving hearts split apart,
to be packed ruthlessly in boxes.

Two lovebirds met once,
to find each new home, new feet
and lived apart until old and worn,
reminiscing their good lovers' days.

Two lovebirds met once, were thus deceived
To think one is united to another in life and death!

Birds

They ask me:

Where did Sarah go to?
Where did Jennifer go to?
Where did Suzie go to?
Did your coldness swallow them?

I say:
We were lovebirds;
Birds always fly out and follow different directions

Confession

Don’t ask me why
I cling on you because I’ll lie.
Just as the moon won’t leave its sky
I’ll be with you till the day that I die.
Two strings are used to form a tie
And become one, you and I.

Two lovebirds on a nest
Reminds me of you on my chest.
You’re my favorite, you’re my best
Just like home, not East or West.

Like the players of chess
I’m keen not to mess
Because I cherish what we have, not less,
And what we don’t the reality we have to face.

As the hour ends today,
I do not know what to say.
My intentions, as clear as an X-ray.
I only hope that you’ll love me the same way.

Soul Mates Sparking

Silent night –
Love in the air
Takes flight!

Lovebirds,
Softly spoken
Sweet words …

Hopes cling
Tracing each stroke
Souls sing.

Lovelorn Arrows

Lovelorn Arrows

No flutter heard
Nor, seen, a stir,
No flight, of bird
Did, there, occur,
No feathered leaves
To a kiss, endow,
Just silent trees
Of vacant bough.

No song of thrush
Nor murder of crow,
No lover's hush
With cupid's bow,
No flock of sparrows
Shall dart and flit
Where lovelorn arrows
No more do hit.

No flap of wing,
Nor preen of breast,
No more to sing
Of a brooding nest,
But to fly away
As lovebirds part,
To where I lay
With broken heart.

Speak

Speak to me of friendship
In the velvet of your tones;
With a tongue inducing tremor
In my flesh and in my bones.

Speak to me of daybreak
In the language of the night;
With a syntax born of freedom,
Lovebirds rising unto flight.

Speak to me of beauty
In the terms of lullaby;
With a whisper of contentment
Drawing breath a deeper sigh.

Speak to me of giving
In the words that I adore;
And thus speak to me of loving
With the voice of evermore.

Same Old Song

I’ve heard a few lovebirds singing the same
sweet song to each other amongst the
white and pink blossoms of spring.
“I love you so much I want to put you in my pocket”
they sing to one another. Their song sounds
shrill to me.
I can only imagine folding my sweet love up
like so many notes passed in grade school
classrooms, and tucking her away
in my pocket to live alongside crumbs
and lint and cigarettes and toothpicks.
Shouldn’t she go somewhere better than my pocket?
If I loved her I’d at least let her live under hat or in
my bookbag where there’s much more
room and far less itchy crumbs and sharpened sticks.

A Song of Sparrows

Here lies the whistling hollowed bones of lovebirds
Entrenched in storm torn skylines
Set flight amidst torrents
Breaking body and soul
Failing to find the fervent love in them in others

Say By Stolen Heart

I am watching on the sky
When day fall when you rise
Your view give me peace of heart
Your milky rays give me new life
I know you are not made for me
You are fiction of each heart
Many lovebirds watch your view
And make colorful their love life
You are jewel of the night
My love dream very innocent
My love imagination very calm
I am not betrayal my faith is love
And sacrifice in love is my way
Sometime I go blind
So show me you’re Milky Way
Sometime I feel you very near
Sometime you go too far
Talk about your all magic
What to say by stolen heart

Bliss

The full moon smiles a bright radiance,
Romance now styles a grand brilliance.

Dark is the night where shadows groove,
Twin souls in flight as passion moves.

The lovers kiss in rhymes that glow,
A touch of bliss moves scented show.

Beauty funds feel in sensuous chimes
Love flings warm thrills in space and time.

Here cheek to cheek in the moonlight,
The lovebirds peek at dreamy sights.
