A Poet's Spring

I will absorb the warm sunshine today,
I'll wrap myself within a golden ray.
Nature's music enchants the tropic air
Where windswept waves will spur me to declare

The tender wishes I've been dreaming of,
That younger years when we first fell in love
Could cross the barriers of time's sweet past
And return pain free bodies that would last.

When the young speak about the golden years
They do not realize the many fears
That plague us as we reach that golden age.
They do not understand our pent-up rage

At doing simple things we used to do
Can be too much and soon pain will ensue.
Poetry can return us to our spring
Where youth of green is seen in everything.

The Heart's Journey

Should there be such pain in
passion of the heart?
Or does the heart,
simply by beating,
know the boundaries of pain
when it can no longer absorb any more joy?
The two seem intertwined at times,
each exalted unto itself.
From euphoria to melancholia,
the heart is on an endless journey
seeking harmony and balance,
yet finding anything but.
We torture our souls
for the sake of love,
enduring countless curves,
on the road to the steep summit
where a plateau cannot survive
the weathered storms for long,
but for the season’s summers
we exist.

Half-Lit Moon

Haze up in the heavens encircles this orb.
Half-dark, half-light, shines from above.
Twinkles of light appear to absorb.
Fractions of darkness within lighted glove,

Speaking to lovers held in each other’s arms.
Answering questions of science to some,
Floating around spreading blessed charms,
Listening close at times, hearing a hum.

Lovers for centuries, graciously, captured by,
Sweet serenity and magical mystery,
Others entranced with secrets, which fly.
From words written and spoken in history.

Satellite, orb, lady, they are all the same.
Mythical goddesses, gripped in flame.
These tales have spread so many games.
This object seen most nights has no shame.

Pledge

...for Juvie

Whene'er you feel distress my own heart aches,
that you should suffer so without release,
I would sustain the hurt for both our sakes,
absorb the pain, and set your soul at peace.
For I can ne'er be still whilst you are fill'd
wih anguish, your tranquillity diseas'd,
we two as one, our aggravations spilled
and blended 'til the torment be appeas'd.
To find a way from darkness into light,
to cast away our feelings of despair
we will prevail, that all our days be bright,
and you shall rest content within my care.
This spell of sadness soon will disappear,
for with my love you'll overcome your fear.

Jealous Jupiter

Through endless, vast, eternal space
there hangs my most omniscient orb.
So far a dark and lonely place,
no sunlight to absorb…
just as my dark and lonely soul,
forever unexplored.

My many moons of sordid glow,
as all my suitors orbit slow –
but Titan’s love I longed for so,
forever mine ignored…
and left this dark and bloody spot –
forever to abhor.

*A comparison between a covetous, lonely love and that of Jupiter for Saturn's Titan :).

Broken (Quick Write)

Broken dreams and shattered wishes,
Souls torn my hearts in stitches.
This girl was so suspicious,
So vile and oh so wicked,
Her words were sharp and vicious,
Like knife thrusts so malicious.
Looking for signs I’m superstitious,
And oblivious to the fictitious.
Green eyes are so lascivious,
Deep stares cast spells like witches.
I absorb it I never dish it,
You’re gone, you left, we're finished.

Kimo Therapy

I see you filled with emotional pain
You feel like you are alone
So I will hold your hand

It’s okay, you do not need to explain
I will be here through the hurt
Let me absorb your tears

When you are ready tell me how you feel
My promise is to listen
You are safe here with me.

One Heart

I wonder our world should it beat with one heart
The variance found would not tear us apart
In words formed of love bid to meet each new day
Together in one breath, we’d sweep hate away
Intelligence summoned by thinking in tune
Transforming the winter to springtime in June

Inside of what looks like a shiny blue orb
The water that flows through our lives would absorb
Infirmities fashioned by weakness of mind
To forge a new armor, our strengths well defined
I wonder our world should it beat with one heart
The tragedies requisite for us to start

Raging Reality

Raging Reality

Love lost cannot find the freshness it once knew.
Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Spellbound, last illusions, and joys say, “adieu.”
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.

Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Reality grips hate’s raging encasement.
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.
Final mockery proclaims a new standard.

Haunting past memories absorb sanity.
Spellbound, last illusions, and joys say, “adieu.”
Flickering dreams blanket deaths black reality.
Love lost cannot find the freshness it once knew.

Come Sofly

Just a few minutes
The soft cymbals play
As raindrop absorb
Rhythm in tune they stay

Bamboo windchimes
Give a hollow voice
An occasional acorn
Lends noise not by choice

Raindrops increase
Their clicking sound
It is now rushing down
Damp and cold pouring around

Birds not making sound
There are no crickets chirping
Today only cars and planes
Coming this way

Raindrops linger on trees
And shrubs water gathered
For next summer's doves
Good day for soup and love

To Invite the Heart

Allow space between us to disappear
And come wantonly to merge where souls dwell
To feel emotion whether far or near
And to absorb love's rushing captured swell
To invite the heart's pulsating desire
And enter love's realm with a freedom found
Released from the bondage of days prior
Breathe in the fragrant scent of sacred ground
To open a closed heart without a demand
And share what we have to fullest amount
In joyous union come to understand
That the purest love will never doubt

I come to you with my love to invest
Hear your heartbeat as I quietly rest

Let No Man Put Asunder

Let No Man Put Asunder

Such as ours the
gods had never granted passion
so harmonious even they
could not know such exultation.

Endlessly steeped euphoria,
absorbed until no need for balance
exists between us.
We are intertwined

enduring into the blackest
of black.
Soddered in pain
the cord refuses to unravel.

Distant Thoughts

As she walked slowly
Towards the woods,
She kept thinking of her old house..
The one so dear to her.

She remembered her friends,
Her school, and her garden,
As she sat on a moss-covered rock..
Almost on the verge of tears.

Book on her lap,
She then slowly recollected,
Her parents' repeated words –
“Love everything around you.”

She looked around for a companion,
Sitting under the tree’s shade..
Gradually starting
To absorb into her surroundings.

Getting out of her pensive mood,
She appreciated the beauty of nature..
And feeling much more free,
Went home to bid goodbye.

Intimate Sonnet

Nothing is more intimate than the eyes
To pursue love in the depth of round orbs
Then descend as invitation complies
To find a softer realm love can absorb
The truest distance is measured between
When our eyes warmly meet in their silence
As honored guests ushered when eyes convene
With due respect and sense of compliance
Aware of love's status with eyes open
A welcomed gesture we gave without fear
We'll enter with a sense of wealth again
And find truth is held worthy to revere

When eyes answer with sensual replies
Nothing is more intimate that abides

Maternal Lean

My love for you now aches with an acute, piercing concern.
I feel your emotions shudder inside my own heart’s downturn.
Lean on me, let me absorb your aches as maternal will not break.

Sweet one, you are precious to me, I would rather all pains in this world
unfurl on me than witness hurt twirling you inside downward swirls.
Lean on me, let my love be a helpful-hoist seeking your right choice.

Know without judgement, fear or derision, I will mindfully heart-listen
to your broke bits burst in light's silent reveal of your spirit's mission.
Lean on me, for I attended the same hell's multiple-themed lessons.

"THE ROSE" (c) 2014 All Rights Reserved:

WHAT A SITE TO SEE WE SAY, BUT DO WE REALLY KNOW
WHAT A ROSE GOES THROUGH , TO SPRING THAT CERTAIN GLOW.
IN THE WINTER SHE HIDES AWAY, SO PATIENTLY SHE SLEEPS,
A WISHING WELL OF STRENGTH AND LOVE, BUT QUIETLY SHE WEEPS.

AWAITING OLD MAN WINTER MELT, SO SHE MAY GALLANTLY REAPPEAR,
THIS LOVELY PRINCESS HIDES AWAY, HER BLOSSOMS BEGIN TO STARE,
AT THE SETTING SUN'S LAST CALL, OH,THE GLORY THAT SHE BRINGS,
STOPPING NATURE IN IT'S TRACKS, AS THE BLUEBIRD SPRYLY SINGS,

A SONG TO ME ABOUT YOUR GAZE, THAT SETS MY HEART ON FIRE,
TO ABSORB AGAIN YOUR SWEET AROMA, IS MY GREAT DESIRE.

Sun Lovin

Smiling sun bring your joy upon my eye
Brilliant bright rays gather all I will try
Body brown absorb precious vitamin D
Body beautiful brown, No eyes on me

Summer sand reflect your potent glory
Beach babes walking make me oh so horny
Soft sand hot underfoot quickens their gait
Wading water waiting they cannot wait

Body burnt I care not my eyes are full
My magnetism amiss girls it won’t pull
Red raw blisters come, too much midday sun
Time to turn me over, too late I’m done

Girls gone skin sore, at the Doctor surgery
Love light no more cancer emergency.

Interwreathe

When the rays of a small campfire ember
find its way to the depths of passion
sparking a heat so lustful it’s hard to remember-
A time we didn’t fuse, I lay.

As that ember dies in the moonlit sky
leaving shades of sweat upon the faintly
heard tussles of a trampled ground-
Hackneyed and abused, I stay.

For the fatigued water lays to salt
after the dew of a sunrise fog
choreographs beauty of love into our own-
We coalesce as one recused, I pray;

“Please don’t let go and I will fill the muddles
of darkness with magical flowing beams
through zealous tears that absorb the clouds
with hues of reverence both dull and bright”-

And simply refuse to breakaway.
