Waiting in the rain

I remember how you looked that day
The morning, you went away
I remember everything you said
I could not speak just softly breath away

Upon the shore, about to leave
There were just too many voices in my head
It was the first day of a morning spring
A cold chill the moment on that day

I stood and watched you with a smile
I never saw you without a thing to say
As we stand today close for a while
Your warm body comforts me so today

I know in a cool springtime rain
I think of you, once more again
I’ll never know why, I could not say
Just how hard it was for me that day

The words are now frozen on my lips
As I stood on the dock alone that day
And I watched as you slowly drifted away
Watching from a veil’s hidden rips

The chill of the cold won’t lose its grip
And hangs from my neck like a chain
To think of you just once more again
And how warm you felt in the cold dark rain

I don’t think I will ever know
And how fast the time did go
I will always feel deep in my heart
We were just never meant to part

Soul mates never go, so here I am again
As I await in the cold spring morning rain
Knowing you will be back with me again
As I leave my cold body in the rain

Interstellar Love

I searched earth and my love was
nowhere to be found.

Now I travel to distant galaxies searching
for my love in space

where it's cold and there's no sound
Where could she be?

Is she in an alternate universeOne that's
parallel to mine?

Do I have to travel through a wormhole? Is
she in another

place in time? I asked the stars where can
I find her and

none of them could tell meI asked an
alien sun but he gave

no answerHis bright unusual light only
making it hard for me to

seeI asked every neutron star and every
pulsarEvery nebula

cloud I've come acrossI even asked a
supernova where she

could beBut his answers turned out to be
falseNone of the

constellation of stars seem to know where
my baby isOrion

doesn't knowGemini doesn't know
Neither Andromeda or

SiriusI'm in interstellar despair, travelling
through the deepness

of spaceGoing from one universe to the
next and hoping that one

day I'll see my baby's faceI don't know
how many light years I'll

have to travelOr how many cosmic doors
I'll have to knock onAll

I know is that the desire to search for my
love beyond the stars will

never be far from gone....

A Lovers Voyage

Sail away with me on a lovers voyage.
Let the wind's soft caress carry us gently out to sea.
Free of inhibition; cloaked in midnight satin;
each breathtaking star holds us captive.
Moonlight's spell drawing us deeper still;
feeling the rise and fall of ocean swells.
Covered in misty wet kisses, breaching vessels bow;
a hypnotic rhythm, taps softly on the keel.
Wind gusts hints of welcomed storms.
Tossed by gale through uncharted waters
as we crest the surging waves, one after another.
Adrift, as day breaks in sun's warm glow
Anchored only to each other....
A lovers voyage.

A Voyage Into You

A voyage of you that starts with a kiss...
A ride taken slow without a spot missed...
Silky curves that have a life of its own...
Rivers of fruit that leads to your home...
Strawberry rainbows that encircle your body...
We drift into bliss as you surrender to me...
Hands that learn to speak on this tasty ride...
Where we lay on a stage where passion can't hide...

Voyage Plan (for JEW)

Let true love find me to be the ever fixed mark of constant gaze
The spectacle of her thrilling eyes, and she to me the dearest prize
A coral when the heart stampedes, or fickle fancy frivolous strays
For love must be a leash of common trust, the pole beyond the skies

So shall we not shiver when seasons change the wind and mist comes
A dark impenetrable fog before the yes, a marsh around the mind
For we by love is added as one, most accurate of all majestic sums
Trust must be the key to vision when love alone stumbles here blind

No arc of sight away in flight, bending ever to a proud inconstant sun
But holding hands we chart our course, finishing better than we begun
For all nature shall around us spin fresh vortexes of an ancient desire
But trust shall preserve us body, soul and skin only for our own fire.

What else shall by our light be drawn, like quivering moths must retire
Into the dust and cinders gasping at our feet, hope their fractured glass
Let true love be constant in this faith, for God's peace cannot expire
Through every storm his ways do hold, so upon him all anchors cast

So what then this buzzing, this jealous sound, is it of frail frying wings
Does some flame the fragile heart deceives, or nestless memory stings
Ah, sentinel not the virgin beauty of my sheets, my fortressed pride
This castle is built of stronger walls, the drawbridge is up, I'm alone inside

They ragged armies may their runted horses rattle until they neigh
Pure hubris, the harried hustlings, trust is a wall faithful and secure
To smooth for any tool to clasp, all tempted grasp will only slide away
And these walls have moats without and within, none crossed before

You alone have I shown where to swim, and how to unlock this gate
To you my center constant holds, only one holy grail keeps my faith
See not my stern behind my bow, point to the haven of your arms
See not my flags fly for you alone, your port the weather ever charms

It's firm the mast that keeps my sail, look from your castle, I come
O sweet the winds that drive me to your shore, what constant tide!
You the true Polaris of my compass stone, my fiddles and my drum
Love not all alone that carries me, but trust that steers me to your side.

I'm Thinking of a Place

I’m thinking of a place, a place far away, far away from here as I sail through the night, a place where you are in my sight. Yeah, I’m thinking of a place where I see you so clear, not here, but there. Yeah, I’m thinking of a place sailing through the cool night air, getting closer to that place far away where I’m going someday. Yeah, I want to go, have to go to that place far away where I’ll hear you say, “I love you too.” By: Carole O'Terry Duet Copyright: 2018 "All Rights Reserved"

The Ship Of Love

Decided to return to my more sensitive writings To get back to where I first started Expressing the thoughts of my true inner soul Humour and I briefly will be parted Amazed I've been to go back and rediscover What inspired me back then as it did Detached as if someone else was the author Into a strange familiarity, I slid I'm still the same person, just a little older With the same outlook, I strive Still overjoyed to be alive and still breathing A love of life is how I survive This beautiful vista lasts a very short time Before we know it, the trumpet blows Calling us up yonder to that great paradise Wish it could last, what a show To be alive, to know the feeling of love Nothing ever approaches the joy Knowing it's returned without reservation There's no greater reason to rejoice Years move on relentlessly but what never fades A lasting joy for this very short trip Honored for this happiness I've been granted Sailing away on life's love ship!!! Dedicated to Laura with love!

Union Of Ultimates

Come to me my eastern star, to your love mystery Avatar,
travel the path of my tantric wish to where touch is holy spectacular,
discover the dharma that has delivered the dream of Ardhanarishvara
into the spine of your psychosexual lifeline, the vine of divine quanta
polishing the pearl of vipassana embedded firmly in the crown of your psychic flora,

Bring with you the faith of infinite love fire
that fuels the physics of fantasy's fearless desire
votives of violet vibration, the birthright of a Lotus Queen
born between motives of midnight storms and sunrise rose opening,
we will ride the ancient equinox that lusts for our sacred senses uniting -

UNSTOPPABLE SELF

Today, i did get one year older...
Not anymore like a little toddler..
Right unto my two shoulders..
Not pebbles; nor stones; nor even boulders..

Boulders, not of familial responsibilities..
Rather it's outweighing my uncertainties..
Focusing myself to assets not of liabilities..
Uncovering, realizing my possibilities...

Vaguely maybe our future..
It's alright: soon it will be cleared as pictures..
Strong and aggressively acts like vultures..
I am more than them, as I am God's creature..

Distractions; ammunition alienation..
I do not agree even to imitation..
Continuously breathing in exaltation..
I do not mind if I'll be in exhaustion..

I denounce anything primal..
Yet, i still pray for all criminal..
Sometimes, i use to cope by denial..
Surpassing with all my might from any trial..

The love with in me is too compelling..
I can not stop cause I'm too willing..
As high as the enlightened ceiling.
I will respond politely and bravely to any calling...

Road to Over

Unwrapping both a blessing and a curse, extracts
Love’s essence painting souls and framing them abstracts.

Too brazen into Jung’s collective we were when,
Our fists were punching holes up through the floors of Heaven.

We knew the fools from those among the wise who cherish,
But that denying harlot Fate, had to be selfish.

Now under burden of this heavy and cruel loss,
Pain’s pressing pitch to blacken the abandoned cross.

Among the broken pieces that will fall this way.
The mausoleums that will be cap stoned today.

In paper coffins lay the letters of their last,
To reconcile this day, or others from the past.

Possessions that become departing gifts to friends.
A rotting, cold corpse they will be, when passed again.

Those stalking zombies out of reach and courting hate
Caressing defense of an unforgiving state.

Must they forget the lover’s pages bled in ink.
Escape in substance high, and falling drunk in drink.

As desperation quickly fills their beds with drones.
The futile chains attempts, when weakness is alone.

To look again to see the gift from ending’s split.
A testimony of a truth embracing it.

For what this life has taken, in return, it gave.
Event Horizons welcome us beyond the grave.

Some morsels kept out of the ruins of our dreams.
A loving Christ’s hands will to heal and stitching seams.

His wisdom and his patience walking me still slower.
His ways are guiding me, in these, the years to over.

If Old Men Fought

An old man looking out his door,
gaze fixed on a distant shore,
reminiscing to a time, not of happiness,
or, the prospect of a bright future,
to when he was sick to his very core,
to when as a youth, he went to war

A time before infallibility had meaning,
patriotism and bravado the craze,
the future was still unknown,
vigor for life at its all time high,
a time for romance, partying, buying,
no thought of pain, deformity, dying

Too young to understand or question,
ship to foreign shore, medals abound,
will impress the girls next time in town,
sacrifice not temporary,
forever more,
a legacy etched into a wall, few will remember,
flesh shredded, burned, torn,
families mourn

A time, when he willingly went to war,
will happen no more,
all lost in youth, now unrelenting,
no blind obedience,
minimal risk,
long life, his number one ambition

As he turns back from the door,
he thinks of the youth,
here now, soon no more,
lessons never learned,
the call to war,
to common the roar,
complacency the mood,
another generation removed

The old man agonizes
over what was originally not known,
war is preventable,
life too precious to waste,
the solution simple,
his vision, maybe too late

Send old men to the front to fight,
arthritis, heart disease, poor eyesight,
let the youth enjoy their life,
his near over, its only right

Send old men, to the front, to fight
ask them to give up their life,
patriotism and bravado, still alive,
will and desire would not last the night,
old men do not rush to death in their twilight,
failure inevitable, the old man smiles,
knows he's right

Wars not possible,
if old men, are sent to fight

4 Love

Love is a four letter word
she whispered into his ear,

So is four, as is word
he whispered back into her fear,

Such is "you and I"
cried his heart - she could hear,

Their cheeks hugged, eyes kissed
each shedding a single tear

The Dust God

I am drifting into memories.
Wasting away like a million photographs fading in the sun-
Yet with ceaseless renewal,
Staining the depths of my eyes with images
In the minds shutter ever fluttering to infinity,
Stringing together this conscious stream I play in-
My stupendous God made of dust and space
Tightrope walking existence!
And to think we too are made of mostly nothing-
Chance so scarcely gracing our atoms with a single touch
In a place so lonely when counted,
Yet so abounding when felt!
So dance with the Dust God
Poised miles above the earth-
Prance on your stilts,
And peek into the great valleys beneath his skin.
Because any moment we could disappear
Into

Molly

I took a rich man’s wallet
So that we would not starve
I’m sure the lord has forgiven me
But the judge he surely did not.
He spared me from the gallows
But sent me across the sea
Away from family and friends
And away from you sweet Molly
I could see you standing on the dock in the rain
As the ship lurched out in the mist
And I wondered sweet Molly would I ever again
Hear your laughter or feel your sweet kiss.
Well terrible fortune befell us
On that awful disease ridden ship
And brutes were the crew and the guards
Who beat us with fists and with whip.
And the wind howled and the seas rose
And many were washed overboard
And illness, storms and starvation
Were sent upon us by the lord
And gradually everyone perished
But somehow I seemed to survive
Until somehow I made it to Botany Bay
The only soul left alive.
I joined a prison gang Molly
And hard to work we went
They gave me a chisel and barrow
And told me to go and carve steps
From a mountain made out of rock
On a path that led to nowhere.
No food or drink did they give us
I feel that they wished we would die
Well their wish came true sweet Molly
As the men started dropping like flies.
The sun burned my face and my arms
As I hammered away at the stone
And when the rains finally came
They soaked us through to our bones
Then a flash flood swept the others away
And left me there all on my own.
Well my life was hard to be sure
But again I seemed to survive
And I finally made it back to the camp
The only soul left alive.
They all were surprised to see me
They clapped my back and shook my hand
They said we must throw a party
For the luckiest man in the land
Well a grand party it was
Under a night of starry skies
The officers all were so drunk
That they started dropping like flies
And in the morning the soldiers found me grinning
Twenty dead officers, two blood stained knives.
Holy Christ said the men as they clapped me in irons
He’s the only soul left alive!
So now I finally face the gallows Molly
And there are no more lies left for me
What I couldn’t eat of the men on the ship
I threw the remains to the sea
What I couldn’t eat of the men on the mountain
I buried among the trees
The drunken officers deserved all they got
So Molly my conscience is clear.
My only regret dear Molly
The only thing that causes me pain
Is knowing that I shall never
See your sweet face again.

The Traveller's Unclaimed Land

He says he loves me then he says he loves me not
He loves me today but by tomorrow I'm forgot
He runs from my love but returns wanting more
I guess I'm to blame for letting the traveler explore,
See travellers just wander and are never here to stay
They admire the scenery and enjoy the display
They tour the land and ride the attractions
So memories become their only subtractions,
They search for an experience that is what they yearn
The condition once they leave is none of their concern!
So how can the land be devoted and true
When travellers come and go out of the blue.
The present is now and where he's travelled to,
But the past he calls home so he must return soon
Most likely just a visit although time can only tell,
But what he lusts is in this land and he knows it very well
He may call that place home but its this land that he seeks
Travellers on a mission never realize until they hit their peek
He continues to damage this land down to its core
So what's left to offer when their is nothing left in store?
The resources were depleted and the land left bare
He comes and goes as he pleases it doesn't seem fair;
See this land has been abused time and time again
Seeds that were planted, were means to an end
But pleasure and satisfaction was always accomplished
Because this land provided where the homeland was disadvantaged!
But despite the history and despite the trust
Submit to his urges is something he must.
So this time around his departure is permanent
Lack of faith and loyalty was the final determinant.
The damage he caused cannot be rendered,
So his visitation rights he has surrendered!
So leave this land I say and never look back
This is the path you chose I hope you can stay on track,
Cause travellers have memories of the lands they have stained
But the land only remembers the one that remained!

How I Met You

First, a sequence of footsteps disguised as coincidence.
A smile to hook at eleven, a line to sink at twelve
A style, all the while, caught leaning in the background.
Words, flowing like they’ve been there all along
Dropping us, down another level in their elevator
Further down the rabbit hole.
I become your mechanism
Heeding your every nerve,
Every tiny rhythmic stir
You sing as I tune you.

At last, the bottom falls out and we’re flying, passing
Between each open idea, dipping
Inside your emotional crevices, tracing
Each curve in your wings-
Color spiraling outward,
Out of control

We crash land by the ocean
Peeking from the rubble

Though our eyes are all that is left- seeds
Aligned and blooming toward the sun.
Time slows.

And the clock waits outside
As our sandcastle, balanced perfectly on this single fleeting moment
Breaks against the morning tide.
And the night disappears back into footsteps
Just to age in a museum of art never captured.

My Guiding Light

As I sit here on this warm, solid shore
beneath a lighthouse I adore.
It stands perfect, beautiful and mint
the roof shingled, a lovely brown tint.
its beacons, a blazing blue hue,
shine light upon all that I knew.

One day a while agoPast the fog of the bay
my lighthouse shimmered and played
its beacons shown with a stare
at a new land, an island out there.
I had seen hints of it while looking around
though never thinking I’d leave this fertile ground.

As the fog lifted and cleared
my lighthouse showed a path that was closeI steered
through this maze of perils towards the new shores
Glancing at the edge of this place, suddenly I want more.
I want to venture and explore it so
Thank you my lighthouse for your allowing glow.

This new isle of desire,
surrounded by a bright red ring of fire
has two beautiful blue pools, clear and deep
a cave so welcoming, sweet sounds did seep
Its lovely peaks were thoroughly explored.
with light patch of grass along the other shore

For all its beauty and wonderment, true enjoyment
lies within the relaxing feel of each moment.
Around this isle I can be myself without a worry.
It has welcomed me and listened to my stories.
I listened as the breeze told tales, many that related
The warmth felt upon these shores makes me elated

This isle has been so inviting
every moment around it was exciting.
My delight in it became hard to evade
but the light from my home was beginning to fade.
I left for home for that is my place.
Having difficulty ignoring those feelings, I pace.

The fog rolled back hiding the isle
Knowing it was there made my mind go wild.
Thoughts that, maybe I could journey without my light
Knowing the trip was very treacherous and not right
For days I pondered itDeciding to wait out the fog instead
Realizing that I was out of my head

For on my shore I have everything I adore
Stability and sanctuary surround my lighthouse and shores
Family and friends within safe distance
Loss of all this if I were to crash in an instant
That is why I have stopped trying to find
the isle of desire that consumed my mind.

Someday if the fog lifts and the lighthouse shines
I’d make the trip and enjoy the time.
The isle of desire that once consumed my mind.
Now is a place that if I happen to find
Will be fun and exciting as I venture its shores
But only when allowed by the lighthouse I adore.

Goodbye

After waving his hand
to his beloved, a sailor gets into
the ship and prepares for
sailing across the deep, blue waters

Little does he know a flood
of tears are stinging the eyes
of his lover, wondering whether
he will still remain her husband,
or will become the ocean’s husband,
after drowning to her belly

Storms roaring with rage
every now and then,
she doesn’t see any wage
as a reason for her lover
to go and hunt a rogue whale
that capsizes ships

“Goodbye”, she faintly whispers,
as the ship sets for sail
with her other piece of joy.....

Knight Voyage

Long time ago in a remote land, there was a Knight in a shiny
armor searching for her beloved Princess.

How many battles I have to win?
When I would find my love in this ceaseless voyage?
I wander about this, causing me great agony.

My heart palpitated without remedy.
What I would do if I don't find my Princess?
Death would not be enough to stop this misery.

Weeks passed by, and I did not find my beloved.
I losed the hope to find her finally.
Continued my journey for many weeks more.

One morning I woke up suddenly.
My princess was beside meI shook up.
The journey was a dream.

A Mother

God above has given us this special gift.
A mother who keeps us from going a drift.

The sound of her voice can take away our fears.
A mother is also the one that hears our tears.

She seems to have that gift to calm and heal.
A mother really does know how you feel.

Sometimes it is hard to hold on to life’s rope.
A mother teaches you how to cope.

She tells you to get on your knees every day.
A mother teaches you how to pray.

Her words are with us when we are apart.
A mother loves with a tender heart.

I hold you dear and you have that heavenly touch.
I just want you to know I love you very much.

Discovering Love

What is this? This way I feel?
I've never felt before
A desire for a love to heal
A heart so cold and sore

Out with the old
And in with the new
To my past love, I never told
But I'm happy at the chance to meet you

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

I want someone to hold dear by my side
Each and every night
To be there when I want to hide
And tell me everything's alright

Meet someone with their heart so open, their eyes so wide
Who reminds me of the one I lost
To pick up the pieces, while to my life revive
And breathe love's warm fires on a heart of frost

She's out there somewhere, thinking of me
As I am of her
Just a blank face in our minds
For which our hearts slowly burn

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

And my past love will do the same
Meet someone kind, and new
Know he'll grow to love her name
Just as I did, and still do

What will come of them, I'll wonder
Pray she finds happiness beyond compare
Under the sun, rain, and thunder
But to share these feelings with my new love, I wouldn't dare

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

Paper Thin

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
For kicks is why I do it now.
You tell me to love but I never knew how.
Our feet hitting pavement,
We spent the day in sunny California with sun kissed skin.
I’m learning to forget and how to fade scars,
And you let me let myself down so hard.

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
And now I just do it for smiles,
We’ll never see flower girls stumbling down aisles.
I’d lose my head just before that chance,
But if you want we can still have a first dance.
Cause I think I say things that I don’t mean,
Once upon a time you meant the world to me.

Your paper-thin porcelain skin,
I know how to get right under it.
But I’m trying to refrain,
To make this not all end up in vain.
Maybe I can learn to love like some people do,
And you can learn to love yourself a little too.
Or it is in all fairness to let this go?
I guess we can try but then we’ll never know

Spaceman vs Sea Monster

At the bottom, in her clutches, you’ve found your new home
Her ghostly embrace makes you feel more alone
Spaceman, at peace in the depth of your night
On glamour and glory, you’ve gotten too high
And somehow you slipped and crashed through the sky
...one day you just rocketed by
Earth’s son is drowning in a tub with the chills
The water is draining, blood laced with pills
One of her many eyes saw your descent
While eating the shrimp from a sulfurous vent
Which, until she’d seen you, had made her content
...her heart boiling out through cement
And while you were down, she baited her hooks
She made you feel hopeful with helpless, sweet looks
And nested your spaceship in her hidden crooks
...blowing kisses that warm like chinooks
And she pulled you in close when you started to sink
And confused you with needs and a cloud of black ink
Disarming your valor with sweetie-pie blinks
...with fish guts and sea-rotten stink
Orbiting so long gave you the spins
You splashed down through brine, and the ocean’s slick skin
In barbed tentacles you’ll sleep with your twin
...in challenger deep growing fins

Side By Side

Oh it's a beautiful night!
The moon is full
And the stars are glowing
While the trees, with Earth's cool summer breeze
Start slowly blowing...

A campfire's flames are burning so bright
While a young couple holds each other tight
Warming their hearts, as these two lovers embrace
Traveling together, through time and space
Oh how tonight, with their love, they won't hide
Two lovers forever, Side By Side

Under the stars, both of them lay
They've been together, happy, all night and all day
Holding each other, a sweet caress
While green grass stains her pretty white dress
But no words, to each other, do they say
Happy just sitting Side By Side, knowing no other way

Gazing up at the stars
Breathing in the night
Them together with nature
A beautiful sight

All the years they've both struggled
And how they cried
Has led them here tonight
It matters not now
As they'll lie here forever, Side By Side

The Vital Holy Day

Getting ready for
Passover to shed us might
For joyous future

The significance
Of God’s holiday is way
More vital than us

A Prayer

God bless those who strive to be better.
God bless those who learn to live in love.
God bless those who fill their heart with empathy and compassion for all living things.
May God bless you.

The Lost One

Shivers my heart, by the sound of thunder,
In the world of darkness, alone the soul wander,
The twilight that has no string of light,
Seems its brightness is eaten by night,
Frightened, every particle, every life and the nature,
I find the world no longer has a nomenclature,
All my directions lost, ways surrounded only by monsters and ghost,
Sails my ship in the deepest sea, with no sign of the coast,
The storm of life which is obstructing my route,
Rain! my only partner which makes me sooth,
When no one recognized drops of water from my eyes,
You were the one who showed me where another world lies,
You changed my route, my life and brought back the hope of light,
Without you i would have never seen the sun so bright
Waiting for my wrecked, sunk voyage to come ashore in the sun,
Sweet heart! move on, because I am now forever the lost one....

                                                                        -'Panchi' Panchal Hitesh D.
