My Allegiance I Vow

To my terra of roots
my allegiance I vow
I wallow in your fruits
and to your flag I bow.

Dream not till wake of dawn
beaming sun light I wait
burst of glee of no bourn
the feels of the soul, sate.

Awe chills into my spine
as your Hymn in pride sung
for Home in peace I pine
and love never be swung.

How could my pen, you turn
in a fine rhyming word
as my quill longs to learn
inking with grace and verve.

The Magical Music of Poetry

The notes of love in verse;
a melody of life
penned softly a la carte
which render thoughts of bliss
that whisper heart-to-heart.

The notes of love in verse;
a symphony of hope
shared ‘tween two hearts in love
just trying to connect
beneath the stars above.

The notes of love in verse;
a rhapsody of words
sighed with a tender flow
when whispered in the dark
sets lovers’ hearts aglow.

The notes of love in verse;
the poetry of thoughts
sung softly in the night,
with stardust raining down,
ignites love’s midnight flight.

Little Wren

Wren, wren, hungry wren,
what do you see today?
A lonely man with scraps of bread
he could have thrown away.

Wren, wren, little wren,
what do you see in me?
A smiling man who seeks out birds
for his society?

Wren, wren, with baby wren,
how do you treat your young?
You feed them well, as I once did
and teach them songs you've sung.

Wren, wren, there with your mate,
you ask me where's my love?
"She soars on higher breezes now,
the kind we both dream of".

Wren, wren, little wren,
what do you see in me?
A smiling man who seeks out birds
for his society?

Ashes

Hell's perpetual fires
Burning up my frenzied desires
I'm gurgling up a rebellion
Can you feel it frothing?

You sure have claws
That scratched my skin raw
The blood is everywhere
Do you see it spilling?

I barely recognised your voice
Cold and harsh like beaten up ice
My ephemeral lovesong was meant to be sung
Can you hear it dying?

Just one more knot
Tied up your body to the cot
I'm pouring the fuel around
Don't you smell it burning?

Goodbye my sweet love
Endure what you deserve
I've been waiting to burn you to ashes
Did you see this coming?

Christmas Waltz

Soft
songs in
tunes
know of
Christ child's love
in praise
that
pure dear
notes were sung,
as Kings bend low
with gifts of
gold and
oils
to bless
God's sweet son.
Christmas,
we
share His
love.

Forest Fortress

A forest - sunlight squeezing through the arms
uplifted by its countless ancient trees.
So fortress-like; her inner royal charms
even the time-worn traveler seldom sees.
What culture lies within? What foreign tongue
is chattered nervously by bird and beast?
What joyful hymns of revelry are sung
which, by my drawing near, in fear are ceased?

My love, those hidden parts I find unique
are those which I would most desire to know.
Dark corners which I least wish you to seek -
the very ones you need the light to show.
Though brighter are the colors from outside,
let's pledge to let no hues within us hide.

Nature's News

The only news these days I need
Is sung by birds in high top trees
In the middle of the forest deep
That's the only news I need

Tells me all I need to know
Natures plans in rays of hope
All the news that's fit to run
Singing of seasons to come

The outside world can have its faults
No need for me to know them all
Only the good news that nature brings
That's the only news I need

There's a Sport For Everyone

"There's a Sport for Everyone" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "The Farmer
in the Dell".

There's a sport for everyone,
There's a sport for everyone-
Baseball, soccer, basketball;
Sports are so much fun!

Bonus activity: Ask each child which sports they participate in or would like to try.
Explain that there is a sport for everyone, no matter your physical capabilities. Some
sports like English horseback riding may require more mental skills than physical. Tell
children, "If you try a variety of sports, you're sure to find one you love!"

Windwalker

I
knew a Tiger
who swam with dolphins
along the razor’s edge

and
meditated with a yellow bird
under his honey’s tree
in a west coast garden.

A
rare breed
from an indigenous
creed.

His
poetic wisdom
written with
zen.

He
sung his songs
in syllables:
5-7-5 and 5-7-5-7-7.

His
beloved’s last kiss
left him fragrant roses
when she crossed over.

Where
did our
Windwalker
go?

Lava
beads, sky lanterns,
and a beautiful
rainbow.

Is
he crying with Coyotes
to the moon or on
heaven’s Windswept Shore?

I
knew a Tiger
who walked
with the wind.

His Name Is Jesus

                                  on the Christmas eve
                                we celebrate His Birth Day
                                     our savior angel

                                  Christmas carol's sung
                                light illuminates from tree
                                 Santa brings sweet gifts

The Gift of Christmas

Let one bell toll for each and every soul in this most joyous season
To remind our hearts of a greater gift that lifts our lives with reason
Renewed with hope, with love and peace, reborn each Christmas day
From Grace we're shown the greater plan by a child that led the way

To live this life in virtuous light, it's worth dispelling wrongs
Would surely leave its epitaph sung in loves most enduring songs
With extended hands and spirits full, that never bend or sway
Could truly be the greatest gift for the child that led the way.

This Masqurade - a Leon Russell Tribute

Ivory pieces transcending space and time
where the words just got in the way
lost inside the smoke of just another day

A song for you deep from a sensitive mind
reaching for a reaction for actions done wrong
forgiveness sung for a special friend of mine

When the dew drops no longer shine for me
and a hard rain begins to fall
they'll be no visitors after midnight
but I'll still be calling your name

We were all alone and I was
singing this song only for you!!

Don'T Interrupt the Music

Dissonance is delegating the intensity in my eyes
Minor chords unveil the passion my body can’t belie
Eighth notes are lightning sparks that burn my finger tips
And when you play Fminor7 I tend to bite my lips.
I want you to scale my thighs
the way you play A minor harmonic
Deftly wrenching haunting moans
Experiences anything but platonic
Allegro Legato Crescendo Vibrato
Sing to me in Italian and tell me to hold my tongue
But if anyone interrupts the music …
a piano's lid comes crashing down--the last note never sung.

Anticipation....

Lamps lit in the darkness
like a jeweled evening gown
my soul sings of an emptiness
not having you around...but,
heartsong's are sung to the brightest star
hoping they find you wherever you are...

Can you hear me,while I wait to hear you?

Sword of Roses

What, then, is Love but a sword of roses
Which cleaves poor waiting hearts
And thusly drunk with the blood of saints
Exults in its own dissipation?

And mine, a soul it so jagged gashed,
A scarred and wilted husk
Which once had songs to Heaven sung
Yet now but gasps with the fetid breath of dying things...

Oh soft Night's tapestry:meadows, fields,
The courtyards of the Moon!
Now but brittle corpses endraped in silken mask,
Their board and banquet but sullen Death
Mocking of Light, fair Hope, and fond Embrace...

The Love of My Life

To feel the touch of love from you,
          My heart rings out so clear;
A song with passions sung anew,
In words I hope you hear.

The softness and the warmth I feel,
          My soul in soft embrace;
To live a life in love so real,
          No sense doth dare replace.

          Forever may my hope abide,
          In harmony so true;
          To eternally in Love reside,
My Dear, My Wife with you.

Sweet Love Song

love is fresh and new
but grows strong like an oak tree
      sweet shade in the sun

foundation of trust
   hearts and souls given freely
       thoughts that live as one

kisses like nectar
skin to skin and arm in arm
      song sung endlessly

Wish I Knew You When I Was Young

I wish I had known you when I was young
With poems to write and songs to be sung
Walks In the moonlight holding hands
Skinny dipping leaving clothes on the sands

Family to build knowing right from wrong
With memories brimming out keeping you strong
Love your hint of a dimple when you smile
Your willingness to go that extra mile

The squeeze of your hand meaning all is ok
I am not going anywhere, here to stay
Why did we let the years pass by
Why didn't we say. let's give love a try

Stella Married To the Sea

O fair lady- lady of the sea
by the name so fairly called, Stella
Yes! that name ever so dear to me.
And Stella who rides a ship-
marrying each wave- caressing the salt
Rides, boldy rides until a shore she haults.
But no land in sight, so Stella ride!

A bell be rung, a song that sung
From home town Oklhoma to Stella who's gone.
So sadly at a distance, people see her blood
trapped under the salty surface as the ship does run.
The death portray but people not know the
O fair lady- lady of the sea
by the name so fairly called, Stella
Is merely with and married to the sea.

Sweet Music

Sweet music is my true love's native tongue -
transporting souls to heaven's shores when she
is singing, bringing them reluctantly
back down to earth when her last note is sung.
