Sunshine
                                                    hot, blazing sun
                                       light clothes, naked, summer brown
sunglasses, sandy beach, sunscreen, sun umbrella
sunburn, summer love, summer kiss, summer joy, happiness
sun umbrella, sun hat, swimming, water skiing
                                      strawberries, ice cream, cold drinks
                                                   lazy days, pleasure

It's All In the Swing

Who says I’m getting old?
My hairs are not gray
Its beautiful sterling silver
The finest silver around
Who says I’m getting old?
My face isn’t bright red
I’m not having hot flashes
I just have constant sunburn
I love the outdoor
Who say’s I’m getting old?
Not me I’m as young as I feel
Tennis anyone?

Nightmare

I'm working through the night
so I won't fall asleep
for every time I do,
into my dreams you seep
the one that broke my heart
the one that saw me feel
the only one I love
the one that was too real.
I'll concentrate on life
without it's summer days,
the winter in my heart,
beats sunburn on my face.
The cold wont reach my skin,
the sunny smile prevails,
it hides from all the world
my blackend, charred remains.
You'll never see me hurt,
I'm much too proud for pain,
I'd rather die inside,
Then let you know you've maimed.

Sunburn

Love is like sunburn; hot to the touch, yet painful in its afterglow...

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Going Home

What is it to see the soil of home again?
A welcome, snow-struck and a return
To cold; sharp white contrasts sunburn.
We converse in broken tongues to men

We know, hooked on holiday language
Comprised of wandering hand signs.
Collect the car and pay parking fines,
Drive through towns and over a bridge

Until we reach the Western gateway.
Oh when will we arrive at our house?
No camels there, only field mouse
Which are eaten by our cat anyway.

The plane flies for an age, slyly yawning
Through the stretching, pealing sky,
A knife through air; what it is to fly.
Our travels over; a new day is dawning.

Midsummer Warning

August is sunburn and moonlight
August's a menace to men.
When the casual canoer discovers l'amour,
August has done it again.

August is moonlight and sunburn,
When the bachelor sows as he reaps.
His sunburn just might finally unburn,
But he's burned in the moonlight for keeps.

Sunburn

Ouch don’t touch it hurts
The sun slobbered on my face
The pain, all for the gain
Of a tan
Red in the face, it’s really a disgrace
We ache, my sister and i
Ooooh the pain, all for the gain
Of a tan
Tender shoulders to the touch,
We really weren’t asking for all that much
Ouch don’t touch, unless you’re brave
I’m liable to punch you in the face.
All for the gain
Of a tan
This really hurts man!
SO
DON’T
TOUCH!!!!
HA HA HA, we should really turn this into a game
What’s that you say little sis?
Don’t make me touch your shoulder with a heavy hand
What wait what are you doing
Haha I RAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
***love you little sis***

Somewhere Else

Wish I was somewhere else today
I ain't partic'lar where
Maybe upon a mountain top
Breathin' that cool blue air

Or I could fish a mountain stream
Catch me a big fat trout
Maybe wander to Galveston
Get a sunburn, no doubt

I had a love in Texas once
Maybe I'll hold her hand
Tell her of all the things I miss
Since I became a man

Wonder if I could kiss her still
'Neath a full Texas moon
Tell her things I have said before -
Listen to Elvis croon

Guess that's askin' a little much -
I'll think it anyway
Don't see the harm in dreamin' that
I'm somewhere else today

Burnt

Words can sting
Like a sunburn that never fades.
You were the sun,
And like Icarus
I flew too close.
My wings
Burned,
and I fell to the Earth.

Never Mind the Weather

The coldest, forceful wind may blow;
The sun may, sometimes, golden glow;
The rain may, often, showery show;
The sky may dust the land with snow.

When it blows my hat is tied;
In the heat, 'neath shade I hide;
I shy from rain until it's dried;
And, as it snows I stay inside.

I don't mind a raucous gale
Or the sunburn in the vale
And, nor the damp as raindrops sail
I love the biting snowflake hail.

A gust may roar throughout the night
But by the day the sun may bright;
A storm may rage with all its might ~
The winter snowfall, purest white.

Come what may my senses see
All that nature gifts to me.
Fair or foul or wild and free,
That's the way it's meant to be.

Poetry In the Sun

When the sun shines
All I see
Is a sudden line of poetry.
Sometimes its brilliant and illuminates
Or maybe its angry and covers the
Sun with clouds.
Clouds of fury,
of hate.
Sometimes the poem sings songs of love
and sometimes it just shines the sun
Over a magnifying glass,
-- And gives me a sunburn.

Friends

Friends
Friends

They slam my fingers in their car doors they hit me everyplace that hurts when
eye have a sunburn and when eye have a sore a scab is soon long gone from
punches from my friends they love to hit the face and other places hurt when my
friends get mad at me or when they simply want to act so tough and have some
fun what good is enemy to me when friends are one.

Black and White

Black is the color of my sin
And the color of silky night
White is the color of my repent
And the color of stars in sky

Black is the color of my skin
Once baked overdone by sun
White is the lotion I soak in
Once the sunburn has won

The white of eyes are a joy
Colorful pupils look above
Black is a heart when devoid
Of compassion and lavender love

The whitest smile so pretty
The blackest berry so sweet
Sing me a black white ditty
With a lovely maroon melody

Black and white piano keys
Take flight unite as we sing
