Midas Touch

~Do Not Trust a Word, He Says~

He speaks of sunken treasures the way no other man
The map of his essence is drawn in the stars
His smile of gold ride out the waves
The moon is pulled by the prestige of his masculine art
With great pleasure, your heart now sits in a glass case

His love lavishes making every moment memorable
This gentleman cultivates you from every direction
Your blood rises to his flirtatious ego
His eyes, manipulate you, invade every dream,
Endless lust, pulled by the enigma of dragon dust wind
Falling flowers of forgetfulness, when lost in his touch
He endures, he breathes in ways you can't resist

Uttered words easily wrap around your heart
In a game of trust, his lips persuade another kiss
Like a syndrome, you babble and drool ---- stepping all over yourself
You are naught more than a fool in love,
Trusting and believing every golden word spoken from his lip

~I LOVE YOU~

SPEECHLESS SPOKEN WORD ARTISTE

SPEECHLESS SPOKEN WORD ARTISTE

So if my vocal folds can’t collaborate to produce sounds to communicate loudly to your beautiful mind that I have an endless mission of loving you, can’t there be any mere articulation in my vocal tract to do that? What are my tongue, lips, alveolar ridge, hard palate and velum doing? I never knew that emotions could shut my speech tractHow I wish my speech tract could connect to my heart, so that I can give you a cord of love inserted into my heart, for you to put it into your ears and listen to the words my heart says because I am speechlessI had it in my mind to tell you that you are beautiful, eloquent, and charmingWhen I drew nigh, I decided to start with the word ‘lady’ to show some decorousnessBut I realized my lungs couldn’t even initiate the airstream for my glottis to either widen or narrow to cause my vocal tract to produce the voiceless and voiced sounds in the two syllable word, let alone the nineShould I comply with those who say action speaks louder than words, so that I can gesture for you to get the feelings better? I thought I was one who could speak like a parrot, but I am now slides before you like carrotsBut what could make a spoken word artiste speechless apart from the abnormal? OK! Let’s try establishing causalityThe moment I saw you, you blinked your eyes, so probably that muted meSo if you could do that again, it may set me freeDon’t wait for me to tell you that you can cause distractionDon’t go near a podium mounted by a performer, lest, you will cause distractionBecause that image you carry isn’t what you thinkNot even a mermaid, more than strangePlease set me free because you are gradually becoming ‘head of Medusa ‘ , rays from your eyes are communicating with mine and making me motionless like lot’s wife is Sodom and GomorrahI came out of volition but it is now at your discretion to let me go, so please take off your eyes and set me free.

Tension within me had converted into electrical energy and burnt my speech tractSo what I am going through is beyond dumbFrom a distance, I was in haste to meet you, but the moment I set my eyes on you, as though there were a speed rump- I started moving like a tortoiseWhat broke the camel’s back was when your eyelids became a canon camera and gave me flash, I became staticI wonder why I am speechlessI wonder why I am speechlessBecause I am this man who can stand before a lady and produce lyrics more than ‘sarkology’ album, so I wonder why I am speechlessI could make a lady swim deeper in the pool of sweet words, so I wonder why I am speechlessMovement of my negative lips could attract positive ladies, so I wonder why I am speechlessPerhaps we are both negatives, so we repelHow I wish my vocal folds will touch along their edges from my thyroid and open slightly at my arytenoids to create a creaky sound like ‘huuh’ for you at least get the air of love, but none is workingI have thin vocal folds that can produce nice sounds like the lead guitar, so I wonder why I can’t even stammerMy phonetics is not working, let alone deploy my syntax for you to use your morphology in breaking down the words to achieve semantics How unfortunate it is that my speech tract couldn’t let out the words my mind has been saying since the beginning of this piece.

Summer Of Enchantment

Warm evenings have that lazy feel,
As the sun sets upon the day.
An orange ball suspended,
As all cares now swept away.
The exotic smells in the perfumed air,
That lies heavy all around.
Mimosa now that in full bloom,
As its branches drape the ground.
Do you ever look at the sky?
As the stars come out at night.
When you’re held by that someone specials arms,
And don’t want to say goodnight.
Though no spoken word is uttered,
As eyes gaze into eyes
It’s said there windows to the soul,
Mere feelings can’t disguise.
Love can just be fleeting,
With precious thoughts we steal.
And in that brief encounter,
We know that it’s for real.

If you love her

Listen to her with all of you
   Your fists clenched
   Your lips together
Your head moving, slightly, side to side

Perched on the edge of your seat
   Tilt your spine forward

Search for the soul deep within her eyes
   Gently.Don't frighten her

Make her feel she is the most important person in the whole world
Nothing else matters except what she is telling you

Hear what is in her voice
   Her interests.become yours

Capture her heart
   Never let it go

I Just Don't Understand It

And I know you didn't plan it
it's so hard for us to understand it
I love you, I hate you - I just don't understand it
One moment we're feeling bliss- like we're on another planet
you love me, you hate me...the story goes...we took our love for granted
caught up in memories, now everything's pixelated
everything spoken is debated
everything valued has been faded
what was token...has been broken
you used to leave my heart smokin'
- she flipped the tarot cards -
now I'm hoping...
instead of dealing with it...I'm coping
you promised me everything would be copacetic
...but everything's gotten quite hectic
we lost our way- I can admit...I detected it
nevertheless...I didn't expect it
the process...I can't respect it
love...how you do love like that?
from dormant to torment
it didn't rain...it stormed
"and don't you tell me days like this is the "norm"
I used to think you were the bomb
I used to think you were the title to my poem
now I'm sitting here with my hands in my palms
thinking you could care less
cause everything you've done was careless
I digress...
I gave you your best
can't believe my reward is this mess
...it was never a contest...
but I thought we were each other's trophy
...and I know you didn't plan it
it's so hard for us to understand it
I love you, I hate you...I just don't understand it

Felony Money

True definition of a hood love story,
They called him Felony.
Skin was as smooth as a shot of Hennessey.
He made a lot of other men envy.
His style was particularly different from the rest.
No gold chains around his neck, but a simple rosary lies on his chest.
Underneath his Sunday best was a solid bullet proof vest.
His pockets had a secret treasure chest.
Steepness with infinite thickness,
But every man has a weakness.
She killed him with kindness.
A righteous lioness,
His royal highness: his positive guidance.
She was the offspring of the titans.
Exceptional of importance to his reputation,
She was his foundation freedom from his everyday discrimination.
A safe haven like a wave equation, her name was Money.
Half black and half Puerto Rican,
Skin complexion of an Egyptian he nicknamed her Isis.
Dipped in gold went perfectly with her skin tone.
She was an overgrown precious stone.
Foreknown Money was working with the federal bureau of investigation.
Deeply in love with a convict but yet victorious triumphant.
Stunting on everyone’s judgments Money is Felony movement.
A step ahead of the government,
Never seeing a seal indictment
Money was his antidepressant.
Felony was her significant participant.
Both of them reaping the enjoyment,
Bonded by each other’s fulfillment,
Seal their delinquent intimate commitment.
In love with a codefendant left them with a Bonnie, and Clyde ending.
Love testimony of Felony and Money

Moon bridge

The moon so bold seems cold
with a halo of midnight glow
I sit mesmerized as the night grows old.

I bleed still, even after all these years
and I wait again through the night
aching in the depths of my soul
that no other seems to know
the Loneliness that has become my companion.

In the darkness we wait and confide in the other
our deepest fears as memories fade
in and out each season of change
the nostalgia tempers the wars of pain
this tempestuous foe of ours
wails at the gates of midnight
howling the warble of humanities last grace.

How the comfort of minds and hearts
turn from light to deep dark in the face
of eternities long time clock...

I ache with wanting, with need and passion
it is a lie that time heals and wounds scar
each night is fresh like the first
                              when I faced realities shock.

Who can wait with me?
Who can hold this hound at bay?
Who can cherish what little love left in me
             and make the broken whole?

I ache to be loved again as the love that burns
and waits inside of me
Who can comfort this emptiness and fill the void
that so many leavings have left?

Cherish and love to honor and protect
but who can slay these demons that hold my heart in wrath?
Who will walk the sulfur clouds of hell to save my mind
and deliver my world to the gates of heaven
with life, not death bridging the distance of pain?

I sit and wait at the floor of the moon each night
waiting for that bridge to carry me yonder,
this moon who hangs heavy and ripe with the yearning of my soul
with clouds aglow as if I could sweep them across a canvas
with the brush held in your hand

I rage at her as I wait, but still I wait and weep
as Loneliness and I keep each others company
wishing the clouds of that great moon could truly create
a way to find the lost, a pathway to home, lit by the legacy our love.

Smoke Signals

If words could envelop fire,

I’d whisper softly into a quiet

note and let the pyre in my

lonely coffer spill out it’s smokey dispatch.

Letting pathos glow inside carrion’s beat,

I would endeavor this note reach a messenger

with quick feet, so that you would read it before

I became nothing more than a ruin,

damned by it’s own occasion.

I would speak with a gentle urgency,

through teeth like embers of brimstone.

" Let not your tender humor steer you

in a direction that would wilt us both

Fan the flames that have consumed me,

It’s a burn that fuels our passion

I love you and the pain that you bring,

you are the brightness in the sky,

and the darkness of night.

You are the sting of broken flesh,

and the sweet release of blood that flows.

You are the healing of my blackened benevolence,

and the anger in my wisdom.

You are my second eye,

and my heaviest anchor.

You are the spark,

and the kindle.

You are my Queen.”

Cloud Weavers

Little child
Your tiny hands hold a little flower
Delicately, you start weaving a story about peace
In your gentleness, you understand how happiness works
It is the sanctuary of warm softness in the heart
Free of all clouds and stormy weather

Little feet
You walk on soft white sand
Eagerly, you pull yourself up after each fall
In your curiosity, you discover what makes you happy
It is the freedom of making your own choices
Unconstrained by necessity or fate

Little heart
You embrace everyone without judging
Innocently, you follow the impulse of your instinct
In your imagination, you build the foundation of harmony
It is the pillar of mutual acceptance
Co-existing with different beliefs

Now, a grown young man
Your hands are no longer soft and delicate
In your journey, you learn how betrayal works
Painfully, you slip and fall each time
It is the feeling of deep hurt in the heart
That pushes you forward

Now, a capable man
You walk on a long winding path
In your trial and error, you finally grasp the true nature of humans
Disappointedly, you sigh at the people who create war
And those who instill hatred in today's youth
It is the sense of rightness that moves you

Now, a man of experience
You let your thoughts flow upon paper
Dipped in the ink of blood, words continue to flourish
Seamlessly, you integrate your enchanting imagery
With the blessings of God's living water
You paint a ladder of inspirations reaching the horizons

Seeds of the new generation
They are dreaming of a better future
Far from the opening chambers of blind heartaches
Those who drowned in the darkness of their moonshine spirits
Burning sinners and hypocrites
Drunken smartass slurring in a poetic oxymoron slang

Evil minds
Your eyes grin when you take away lives
It is the cold heartless stare that you exude
Until your victims' breaths leave their bodies
The demons in you rejoice in your attachment to them
Your souls are no longer your own

Unfilled vessels
The windows of your souls are sealed off
You have fenced yourself in to keep out the goodness
Spitting in Love's face, you bow to your Demon God
It is the hatred that you cling onto
When you weave long threads of recorded bad memories

Unforgiving gale
It approaches with a full force
Floors tremble and vibrate
When the houses break, it will be swift and inevitable
It is an unstoppable vortex of good and evil
A battle of hurling vile obscenities

Demon possessed
You will curse everything holy swearing lies
Sweet talking arrogance with no bounds
Under a thousand points of light
So blind becomes the beggars vision of a predator
Rattling through the cages of time

Death holds a beating pulse
Harsher than physical wounds exposed
Pain burns the poker scorching hot inside empty skulls
They curl their tongues in mockery of life
Cultivating a culture of takers and pranksters
Givers are now doomed and deemed foolish

Where do we go from here?
Stuck in past mindsets, the old must find a way
To break the mold and make peace
The young and new blood should never give up
On peaceful tolerance and forgiving love
Let bygones be bygones, start now with peace

Two

Star-crossed lovers? Not even close
The two were brought together at first sight, it seemed no future
Came from different familiesOne with an alcoholic motherThe other, never even saw a glimpse of his father.
The tale of two, both had only one pursue.
The feeling of gentle, soft, light, addictive emotion.
None had no clear dreams of tomorrow.
The nights are filled with courtship, a chase to impress the other.
One moment hot, one moment cold, the rest, just right.
Like a ripping mango, once green, now grew shades of yellow.
The days came, after one anotherFilled with tears both of melancholy and joy.
Trials after trials, the tests made them tougher, stronger, milder.
Fights came about, shouts, screams, pure disaster.
Struggles were like winterA way to make them closer, together, sharing warm laughter.
From there, the fruit of their shared endeavors resulted in four successors.
Each one varies, much like the seasons.
Yet all dream of creating presents to give to their creators.
Time ages allTime heals it allTime makes it all.
The two continues to smile together.
Reminiscing the past, revisiting memories that lasts.
They both continue to live, only to paint a better picture.
Time creates it allTime tells it allTime knows it all.
When will the two fall? When will it all dull?
Together, the two will awaken, the two will never be broken, the two will happen.

Lines of Love

I read about some love today.
I could only smile.
Closed my eyes
to that good feeling,
glad that yearning’s still alive.

I read about some love today.
Put myself in her shoes.
It made me giddy
that it was comforting,
Fell in love with the view.

I read about some love today.
Read the caution ‘tween the lines.
The nervousness
of the unknown,
but it eases over time.

I read about some love today.
Felt peace in what was theirs.
The type of love
so love filled,
that you mention it in prayers.

I read about some love today.
Only shed a single tear.
This isn’t love you just read about,
This is love that you must feel.

Laying Here

Laying here..
On the grass
Its such a peaceful night
Layin here..
As I slowly inhale, exhale
Among the diamonds in the sky
I soon begin to visualize
Your perfect face,
your perfect smile
My mind quickly begins to rewind
To the days when you and I
were more than once upon a time

I have but one regret in life
I let insecurities dictate how I walked the line
Hand in hand with ignorance and pride
So many feelings I held inside
The love of my life, I self denied

If only I had told u a long time ago
Your name is written on my heart,
Your silhouette imprinted within my soul
Maybe u would have never closed your door
                  on me...

              I cant get in....

He changed the lock
And now she holds the key

And here I am
Laying here..
Wondering if she sees
You as I do now

Withered Are Memories Made On False Ground

Withered Are Memories Made On False Ground

Majesty of her charms , pale in light now
Love's glow has died, ashes only remain
She was sad , my heart took a fleeing bow
Her cries left only darkened bitter stain
No long goodbye words, we both knew not how
She was mad, I felt no need to explain

What is the past but dead dreams on black ice
Time returns us not to make our amends
Wishful thinking, going back would be nice
Yet new pains could rise, and forward it sends
With no overs, nothing said would suffice
Best journey on, racing around the bends

In hindsight , glory heavily infests
False goodness and sweet touches abound
However, truth lies in dark empty nests
Where heartache and misery were first found
Seek not ye fools gold as wisdom suggests
Withered are memories made on false ground

LOVE FROM ABOVE

speaking from the heart with divine eloquence
     streams of elegance

inner sanctum exudes angelic beauty
     loving devotee

appreciating all marvels of the world
     so much love unfurled

a most kind exquisite spirit knows no bounds
     and as such astounds

speaking from the heart with divine eloquence

Never Forget You: Spoken Word

I’m in love and I feel lost,
No one ever told me with love there comes a cost,
My world is becoming unclear as it’s being consumed by moss,
Most of myself I’ve loss.
Pardon me as I get blunt,
But only I know what I’ve experienced the past 6 months,
So go ahead, judge me, because I won’t give a f*ck.
All of this angst has built up inside of me,
Despite my requests my heart ignores my brain’s pleas,
My heart can’t take it when you just randomly leave,
And my heart can’t take when you have an episode and are so cold
and mean,
I’ve actually noticed that every month this repeats,
Yet my heart won’t accept defeat,
You see you’re what it feens,
And it never lets me forget not even in my dreams.
I never know when I should allow myself to call,
So sometimes I don’t and just crawl in a ball,
It also bothers me that I’m not the only one you call doll,
I’m scared just like the rest that you’ll let me fall,
And I really don’t want to go through a state of withdrawal,
So to prevent this I’ll always be here for you to stand tall.
From the day that I met you I knew my life would change,
I’d really appreciate it though if you stopped playing games,
My mind is no longer the same,
And myself is the only one I can put blame,
For what we both want is not the same,
I’m a lioness that wants to be tamed,
But I don’t know how much longer my heart can endure pain,
I’ve even asked assistance from the man in vain,
And myself is the only one I can blame.

What I Was Too Afraid to Say Over Text Message

You were the first promise I was willing to keep,
my first hope that something could last forever.

You were the first time I opened up like a blooming flower
and gave you every piece of me,
every lie I’ve told,
every nightmare that kept me wide awake,
all of my hopes and dreams stored somewhere safe inside of you.

You taught me that there is no shame in unwinding myself
into someone else’s arms,
that it’s time I exposed my gentleness that I’ve hidden beneath my thick skin,
for it hasn’t seen the sun in years

You were the first person I failed to find a poem in
because I loved you down to your bare bones and raw heart
and no metaphor could ever satisfy my admiration for every part of you.

You were the first time I wanted to belong to someone,
the first time I could read a thread of text messages like reading my favorite book,
my first kiss,
my first time getting butterflies after just hearing your name.

You were my favorite song,
my 11:11 wish;
a silly girl staring at a clock, waiting for the numbers to be perfectly inline
so that she could wish to forever keep a love that already belonged to her.

Why i hate Rap haters, but love Poetry

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge
Poetic lifeguards use applause to save lives
When you see rap flying far from poetry's interests

Dodge,

Fasten your seat-belt and enjoy the bloody verbal battle
In sessions poetry speaks in tones of a crying soul
Rap is built on concrete rhythms mixed with first bricks of venomous alphabets
Rap is an angry poem
Rap is poetry
but poetry will never rap like rappers air polluting words to poet their ideas
I mean, if rap is literature,
why has it started so many wars between ideas

Walls of belongings in the middle of fear
Appre-ciations
Appre-ciate and question things

Blind words can see the difference
Why has rap created rivals in many societies
Haters hate us
While poetry stinks of welcoming joints
Modern rap has a stench of juvenile points
I played this word game in my head
Ones or twice
I lost to a bunch of middle fingers spider webbed on the roof of my creations
Haters, my mates

Rap can be spoken in sign language
Both animals eat words and poop spoken rhythms
Both body languages undress opinions in different approaches when speaking crises
Poetry's violent approach comes from humans who speak to teach
My poetry likes the anxiety of a beat

I hate material rap haters
I intend to seed Africa’s womb with baby words to grow poetry in your rap choices

Art cannot be written off, long as there's soul in that flash, there's life before trash
I recently adopted a second born skin
My child is a shield blocking weakness of my bones to animal views
My meaning is behind the lens of my third eye
I wish i can share my visual thoughts in a language
louder than the sound of a broken TV reception
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh
Brake the eyes of stillness
I wish i can walk my words of metaphors injecting needles of knowledge
With no fear
My missionary position
I intend to seed Africa’s womb

the passion fruit

There stood a tree
Bare and alone
Many storms had left it torn.
The branches wept
The leaves were gone
No more birds sang their song.
But far above
Their hung a fruit
Passion drenched through the roots
It hung forlorn, barely connected
Many passersby’s assumed it was defected.
But then one day
A man walked by
Fascinated, he let out a sigh
Where did it come from?
Surely it did not fit in here
How was it being nourished in all this gloomy fear?
He held it in the palm of his hand
And smelled it’s ripeness, longing for it to land
But as he pushed it to his lips
It began to drip, drip, and drip
The essence of its juice made his hands begin to bleed
For it was a forbidden fruit he had to leave
Baffled by his reaction
To this ravishing satisfaction
Startled by this moment of unusual pleasure
He knew in his heart he had to leave it forever.
He wiped his hands on that verboten tree
And mournfully knew he had to let that fruit be.

Love Slogans

Love left them hanging in the air
They sang slogans
They rained tears though pain was blur and cloudy,
Moody,
Bully and partly cloudy
Illusions got glued in their slogans
Their love was outrageous and bouncy

Those short tempered lovers
Sang songs for their drunken worries
They saw no pain though love was forever sour and chained

Pain buried himself under pleasurable bedroom eyes
Resurrected on sunny knights with no weight
Measured their smiles
And he found odd numbers in their cupid time zone

Days when pressure became their treasure
Pain snitched in the dark and paused on bedroom eyes
Eyes that vacuumed lust
Previously crowned lust
that never lasted long enough to grave all rust
They sang love songs in anger
On and on they sang courage amplifying worries

Their jaws were breaking laws
Our jaws are breaking laws

I long to save them from this lost in translation watchwords
I am you in this Poetry
Never wash your face before my words
Remember my seeds
The fruits planted on concrete brains
Left to grow strength and passion
Building castles of hope

Love seeks more woods and light to walk its blindness sometimes
The defensive jelly
Smoothly rubbed to take away skin value
Chocolate statues lost in the streets of love
 Singing worried slogans

Their jaws were breaking laws
Our jaws are breaking laws

Pointing blames with no hands and fingers
They swim out of the ocean
The ocean of tears that make killer waves in passion
Like fish
They could not breathe
Trouble was or is their home
They sing gospel in their drunken love

Their jaws were breaking laws
Our jaws are breaking laws

By force they speak jumpy jaws
They are meant to hurt,
burn and kill gender laws
By force they chisel their hips to diesel all body postures
For no reason
By force they sing gross slogans of love
In jumpy jaws
They get stark inside antagonistic love
In jumpy jaws
Pre-rehearsed parent-hood
Love left them hanging in the air

Mistakes

Oh what a mistake I have made,
Traveled so far to end up this way.
Not in a million years would I have guessed,
That this idea was truly not one of my best.
Never had known things had changed so much,
We for sure had fallen so far out of touch.
  So many different do's , don't , and bewares,
Actually has left me absolutely scared.
What a fool I was to ever believe,
That she would ever be in love with me.
At my age you would think I know better,
You can trust this will be remembered forever.
Oh what a terrible mistake I have made,
Wanting all these memories to just fade away.

May the Love of Jesus Touch You

May the Love of Jesus Touch You!

May the love of Jesus bless and touch you!
May his presence be with
 and uplift you!

May the joys of the love make
 you complete!
And touch you, from your
 head to your feet!

May the glory of the lord
 be with and keep you!
His majestic power can really touch you!

May the words that he’s spoken,
touch your spirit!
His mercy and salvation…
 He freely give it!

May the sweetness of Jesus,
 into your life bring!
His righteousness and beauty!
Your everything!

May you take some time
 with Jesus in prayer?
How much he loves you!
 How much he cares!

Love Making Poets

When poets make love on pages
They put words were sexy words fit perfectly
They smooth run cold conversations and blocks of ice in slow motion
On all romantic options
They block fear away from these unstable oceans
While seducing all attractive images of faultless pickup lines
They fly like homeless flies befriending endless dreams on skyscrapers

Poets paraphrase their faces when they kiss on papers
They eeeechooooo echo kisses in repetition until notorious predictions are detained and predicted
In hand held inspirations they cook unbelievable recipes
They compose verses on home-made beds
Even worse
kitchens turn into Bedroom beds
Their kitchens are pre prepared prier portions of word recitals and fork and knives
Date or no date their mandates are easy to date
Snitch and Sneak preview their unspoken slams on different dates
Fight back for all that’s bad with your madness in different dates
They're licenced to use military expressions

They mic tongues naming each kiss a masterpiece speaking back on all evil kills
They terrorize silence in screams of pleasurable skills
Neighbors have rights to take sleeping pills
Poets can scream their pleasures in love making moments
These humans master piece their body languages in flings
Paragraphs of candle lights and strawberries paint their private lives
High five to those who date multiple poems on a single date
Poets love loving love on hateful dates
Poets love making love

They careless
if you mimic their rhythmic drums
When they
caress your skin with Goosebumps
They drive their mics in circle with no driver's licence
They sense love from a distance with no expense
Love makes composers love speaking in tongues

With lights up all night long they forget life is time
Take your time kinda like love making times
They tease multiple metaphors with background music
Stripping truth naked
Poets don’t miss their past lovers
They know how the book ends
They plant baby poems on each other's bosoms

Hugging all night
like sober minded blushes
When poets make love in pages
They put words were sexy words fit perfectly

I Do Believe

"I Do Believe"

The purpose of LIFE is to {Living In Faith Ever}
to enrich God within us
to an optimum level
so that We as Humans
can be guided by God
to fuel out brothers and sisters
with the same driving force
to connect with the living God,
to His existence and
to See the Invisible,
Believe the Incredible, and
to Receive the Impossible
to our everlasting journey
to Heaven.

true spoken word

never before let it blossom like
roses in such fairest sunlight
he was a man of wilderness
strong and sure in his way
a creature of knowing and doing
a stranger to this game of light and shadow
of loves falsely promised and tenderness teased
of loves true touch tenderness felt in unison with another soul
a man of the hunt for wild beasts
he sought to ensnare her in traps of logic
but any fool knows there is no logic to the heart
and its romances are all she knew
such is a fiery burning bright and true to the heart romance
such is the knowing a woman's deep hearts desires
he calls out in moonlight her name
and she comes to him
and they share wild hours wrestling
body and soul
this is the true spoken word
there is no life without love
a man of the world now
no man can stand without a woman's hand

MAKE LOVE TO ME

Make love to me with
your poem, your poetry.
Flow slowly do not rush it.
not so fast.
Let your words last.
Stroke me slowly
Put your back into it.
Caress my totality
Draw me into your world
let me succumb -to your glib tongue
I hear your commands
As you slowly express
how capable you are
Expanding my mind
taking me places I've never been
Firmly holding me in the grips
of your suspense.
I was tense
Waiting for the end – you, letting me
down gently as your poem ended
I bask in the aftermath of a poetry bath
Thinking of the ecstasy of
where your poetry took me.
I let down my hair because
you swoon creativity
I get off on your enunciation
and affections- inflections
Word erections-sensitivity
and vulnerability
Allowing me to feel every word-
as you speak slowly
you enter me with your "diction".
Slow and easy you speak to me
Stroking me with your poetry...
You took me to peaks
of ecstasy with your
sweet glib tongue
and that's why
I let you make..
Make sweet Poetry to me…

Broken Dreams

Do you believe in the things that you've always known,
Can you understand the things you've been shown.
Is it the visions you see that make you believe,
Or is the feelings you get when you've been deceived.
The pain you feel a never ending ache ,
Tearing your heart and soul from you every day.
Time ticks slowly pounding away at you,
Throbbing heart breaking and there's nothing you can do,
Must I settle for these lost and broken dreams,
Because it has all the signs that what it seems.
How much should a man endure to find his way,
It cant possibly be like this hard for me every day.
There is nothing so frustrating as being so confused,
Especially when you've discovered that you've been used.
I will get through this lonely phase I have no doubts,
But I'm sure there will come a day I'll figure it all out.
Cautiously I walk the path that's been laid before me,
In faith I will continue for I know he will let me see.
Life will be thrown at you in so many different ways,
I will be prepared for these things for the rest of my days.
Broken dreams will be the learning tree for me to grow ,
Living my life with Joy Happiness is what I'll always Know.

I'll Love You Forever

                                  I'll Love You Forever

I loved you then,
I love you still,
No matter what,
I always will.

Through thick and thin,
right and wrong,
I still love you,
And have all along.

I love you so much,
And things will get better.
I'll never give up,
I'll love you forever.
