introspection, people, social,
two bible-blabbering, prattling pastors
from two denominational sectors
ended up in stitches and bloody plasters;
those around said it actually began
when one yelled, "faith alone can save a man!",
the other screamed, "only charitable acts can!";
swinging bulky bibles, shouting curses,
they whacked each other's eardrums and noses,
bludgeoned and bloodied their righteous faces;
so ironic, how they maimed each other
for faith, for charity and didn't bother
to heed the Lord's words: "Love one another."

social, day,
Bruises disappeared, cuts and scratches gone
The scars inside will never heal
The roses are beautiful, your promises empty
You'll never know the way I feel
Self esteem removed, dignity stripped
Emotions drained, each day the same
How pathetic can you be to think
Somehow, some way, I might be to blame.
A horror story not fully told
Nowhere to run, nowhere to go
A love so warm, now so cold
To be so high, then sink so low.
The battle rages on, each day the same
Our dreams and plans have turned to dust
Why is the pain greater, also the shame
When it's someone you love, someone you trust.

Who is more righteous,
The pious man who watches in awe,
Or the faithless man saving those in the blaze?
Who is stronger,
The man who lifts a ton with one arm,
Or the mother of four on her own?
Who has lost more,
The man who has lost his money,
Or the man who has lost his love?
Who is weaker,
The man who can't fight back,
Or the man who won't fight for him?
Who Is more savage,
The man who doesn't know right from wrong,
Or the man who doesn't care?
Who is wiser,
The man who has the answers,
Or the man who asks the questions?

prayer,
Thank you Lord,
for another day of health.
More social distancing,
accompanied by vigorous stealth.
I'm thankful for you,
and your life that you gave.
Thank you for living in my heart,
and protecting me from life's deprave.
Please give me strength,
to carry on in these times.
I pray oh Lord,
please hear me in these lines.
I know I'm not worthy,
of your love that you give.
Thank you for another day,
and this life I now live.

childhood, father, hope, life, love, social
I’m a man, just simply a man;
once a child with no other distinction.
I am neither your first son, nor last.
I cannot alter what God has planned,
nor stop sun to shine,
nor stop the rain he’s cast.
So, I seek a solution to the paradigm
of angst and joy of life,
of the person I should be now.
Though life’s full of mystery and of misery,
you were there to give me hope and dignity,
no wonder I always love to be with you.
But, when God decided...
we couldn’t say, “No!”
You left me with his everlasting glory.
As time passes, I realize the greatness of
love and joy on the day of my friend’s son,
I became like you, a loving godfather.

I own my thoughts and feelings
I have a right to them
You can't control emotions
Or steal from whence they stem
If you should ever tell me
"Come on, don't feel that way!"
I'll simply have to answer
"You don't have any say"
You see, I own my feelings
I surely own my thoughts
I'm free to feel as I wish
My heart cannot be bought
Don't try to cage a lover
And make her soul your slave
For love not freely given
Is hopeless, then to save

angst, relationship, sad love, social, society,
We long for relationships
that know no borders,
in which hearts can roam free,
frolicking with each other,
and galloping at will
through fields and streams
in broad daylight,
and spontaneous affections
can nuzzle unrestrained.
Yet on our humble ranch,
it is the broken horses
that we so often ride.
Connections become curtailed
that once headed for the horizon,
by trial and error taught
to shield certain wounds
and mind necessary fences,
in many a peculiar pasture.

Lust so cold, love stays warm
Advice given is words forgotten.
Gifts that are free have a catch.
Hidden destiny, life so scorned.
Living high, lost in the dark.
Spirit lost, not ever free.
Falsified love, eternally angry

Even islands get lonely
Like weaving palm leaves to make baskets
Like crocheting to make a pair of socks
We need each other
The threads that connect us all
The webs that we leave behind
As we meet each other
As we befriend each other
As we spend bits of time with each other
As we are there for each other
Add us years, that hold us dear

I stood there watching people
sighing impatiently and tapping their toes
while typing on their phones.
I was next, elderly lady ahead
was paying by check.
I saw her tremble
as her fragile fingers penned
away her social security check.
I reached over, held her hand.
said my dear friend,
"this checks on me."
an experience never observed
in "self checkout."

mothers day,
Grandpa was a carpenter
With his saw and hammer and plane,
He built houses and a church and furniture
So many knew his craftsman name, and then
And then he had to slow down,
No Social Security or pension had he,
But not one to ever give up,
He built flats for flowers from seed.
Lowly little pansies caught his love,
He planted his own flats ‘til faces would show,
With the peaches from his backyard trees;
This carpenter man sold all he would need.
His hands were rough, his eyes held a twinkle;
His hugs were so tight, my dress had a wrinkle;
I’ll always remember my Scotchman grandpa;
He gave me my dear mother, after all.

You’ve swallowed my misery,
My old self, just by a smile;
By letting me feel the mountains move,
You’ve freed me, just by a smile;
My twisted thoughts,
Have been untangled by you, with just a smile;
I offer my body and soul to you, O my words whisperer,
You’ve whispered me a new life, just by a smile;
I offer myself to you O, Jamlaila,
You’ve made me your man, just by a smile.

I am full
Of emptiness
I long for longing
Crave contentment
The insensate pain
Of intangible touch
Indecipherable ciphers
Choreographed madness
Craggy comfort
Of blunt condolence
The decorum of anarchy
Deserted crowds, social solitude
Miles given to intercept steps
At the dawn of abundance
I see only
bones of ghosts
Whose meager admonishment
I forgot to unlearn
Unredeemed
And unrepentant
I am in love
With loneliness.

To head out to the mall
For Black Friday Bargains
We want to get them all
First there's all the line ups
We're set to crash the door
Here for all our treasures
Waiting inside the store
The entrance is opened
we all push and we shove
Forget the Christmas Spirit
This sure aint about love
Cash registers flashing
Bing Bang Ring a Ding Ding
The money is flowing
People buying their Bling
Some people get trampled
They didn't factor that cost
All those stupid profits
In the end will be lost

sweet babies
need sleep, sustenance and love.
Sounds easy enough.
Ask the sleepless mother
who feels the diaper rash more
than the infant.
Ask the mother whose child
is the bully or the bullied or
the social outcast.
Ask the mother of the child
Hooked on drink and drugs,
the troubled ones.
Ask the mother of the adult
child growing her own
long-stemmed promises.

**A Sweet Waltz**
As I kissed her lips
tasting her candy glaze
she bended ever so slowly
for a little of this mayonnaise.
And I said arise baby,
don't stay in that stance.
stand up, we'll embrace
and start this love dance.
A freestyle by a dear friend of mine who gave me permission to post this.
I hope you all enjoy. Please, he wants to hear your opinion.... He will be reading.....

i will love
i will be at peace
i will stop crying
i will not hurt
One day, I will walk with you...
we will talk softly
we will hold hands
we will love
we will cry together
One day, things will be okay...
no one will die
no one will cry
no one will hurt
no one will be alone
One day, things will be clear...
we all will understand
we all will share our light
we all will be found
One day, all questions will be answered...
our hearts will be resolved
our minds will be at peace
our persons rested
one day..
