- Love At First Sight -

As the golden threads of silver, a mother protects her child
The path they will follow together, through life they leave deep footprints
The love that is shared will always shine its rays, nothing to fear

My heart shaped ruby wishes to be loved and excepted,
Shining brightly for a single affection by one adored man,
Noticed and caressed has given the luster gleaming joy.

Coo, Coo, Coo

Early in the morning just beyond daybreak, the cooing of doves
Coo, coo, coo always in threes, conveying to its mate of his love
Soon sun will be higher, proof of love will begin with the feedings

Summer Love

Lapping waves, boat gently rocks, lone seagull screams from overhead.

Sun setting on horizon evokes feelings of happiness

November mist came crawling as the silent day folded as twilight loomed in slumber, silver stars glistened in my eyes stirring my inner spirit I cried out through the heights of Gods love

A Comfort

Collection - 1.

Now, the feelings of love, comfort me, as I feel your heart,
Why then, a coldness, that seems to come out of the heart of darkness?
But a momentary thought and then love-light returns.

Writing in sand and stone

Writing "I love you" in the sand suggests that love is meant to fade;
That it can be washed away by life's periodic tides.
I suggest we write our love in stone, always carving it deeper.

Where Has Love Gone : Visual 7

hand in hand, where clustered flowers gently swayed in splendid hues,

    they strolled along the lake towards their favourite wooden bench;

now, empty, it waits in vain for their return; where has love gone?

- And Kiss Me -

A kiss lights a spark of passionate fire, a flirt with warm lips

If the snow is white ... the rainbow brightness of the smiling sun in the rain

Soft as dew, three words so easily : "I love you" ... I believe ...

Summer Love sijo

I kiss my summer love goodbye - as winter’s surely here:
The autumn brought our falling out and cooled the lusty heat
And now we stand as chilly as the ice that freezes both our hearts.

Temple Bells

Bells ring out across the valley from the temple on the hill
Disturbing sleeping lovers cosy in one another’s arms
They smile and go back to sleep to dream of their wedding day

Silent Hope

silently...the golden sun rises upon the fevered fields
crying tears of pain...she plucks a dandelion of a lost love
and in a breath... she releases a dream upon the morning breeze...

Summer Love

Summer Love
Shores draped in white sand linens; beaches beckon, "Lovers come lay."
Salt perfume, ocean music, moonlit waters their embeance.
Treasuring star framed reflections, waves of passion.... Summer love.

Tears Waiting

Waiting, as pure and clear as drops from the high mountain peaks
Trembling now on your lashes as we wait for your heart to break
Tears to soften the pain, and cleanse the troubled soul of the lonely

Sijo for Tawa

My Tawa, remember me, and recall that first sweet bloom Of flowers in a garden, where my strong arms once carried you. T’was your smile, lifting my weak heart, taught me to love another.

Power of your kiss

While words are lost in the silence of our emotions,
One it seems also oblivious of worldly dilemmas,
The power of your affections in this your wondrous kiss.

When unable to touch in this a far off distant land,
Confronting a faceless enemy, whom I’m sure longs as I do,
Lives for the day when passions are released within a kiss.

Twenty-five Miles

Just like Edwin Starr, I have a long walk ahead of me. A person needs strong and sturdy feet to walk twenty-five miles. Walking will all be worth it because my woman waits at the end. Robert Pettit for Nette Onclaud’s “On Your Feet” contest.

Summer Love

Give us a multicoloured dawn when all the world is still asleep.

Enthralled we search for lips with earnest greed in passionate embrace

Before the sun arises and our love like dew dissolves.

Silence, when day has gone to rest and moonlit sky takes centre stage.

Whisper; while in my arms I hold you tight within the summer night.

Love me, as gentle fingers pluck the vibrant strings to my heart.

A Number's Game

My tongue is stuck out in concentration, filling out this Sudoku.
Having faith in my deduction skills, the pen was my weapon of choice.
The only numbers I can't figure out is on the note she gave me - now that's scary!

NOTE: Inspired by Rick's Sudoku comment on my poem Sedoka 3.
