Love Passing By

When the crimson rose has faded
And our day at last is done;
In the forest dark and shaded
Blows the tempest, dims the sun.
When the night holds us together
Shall forgiveness mend the past
Will despair bring sunny weather
And heal our hearts at last?

If we hide within the shadows
Will you stay here close to me;
Will we walk forgotten meadows
Or sail a foreign sea?
In vain the hour must reap
What we gathered in the sun;
And love's harvest now will weep
For the battle never won.

Within the world's disgrace
In the hour of Nevermore;
Will there be another race
To a far-off fabled shore?
We promised love tomorrow
We preen with pride today
Now pride and love will borrow
The tears of yesterday.

Our pride we now confess it
Is a sin that couldn't last;
Our passion if we kiss it
Is like a dream now passed.
While fragrance scents the garden
And the misty moon rides high;
The wind whispers a pardon
When love goes passing by.

A Tale of Fire and Ice

Part I: Ice He shines like silver midnight moon - cool marble statue, this tycoon. And though he makes the ladies swoon, of ice he’s hewn.; of ice he’s hewn. He’s poker-faced and can deceive competitors and can achieve most anything, but can’t conceive of Genevieve, of Genevieve. Like Neptune, distant from the sun - relationships he chose to shun. He thought the search for love was done. He has no one; he has no one. Now love’s allure has come his way. What will he do? What will he say? Will he grab hold, beg love to stay, or let it stray? Or let it stray? Part II: Fire This dragoness disguised in lace - passion’s flower with angel’s face, precisely picks the time and place each dream to chase, each dream to chase. Like ink the color red, she stains the hearts of those whose love she drains, and then she leaves when naught remains No lust she feigns; no lust she feigns. And now there’s one who would suffice. For him alone, she’d sacrifice her everything, so he of ice she must entice, she must entice. So Genevieve now strikes the flame. Will man of ice his love proclaim? Beneath her fire and his cold frame, they’re both the sameThey’re both the same. for Broken Wing's Form G or GIVE me an NA - Poetry Contest N/A in Your best rhyming poem Contest judged Feb 2, 2017

Uncharted Waters

An ocean tumbles through dreams of youIn depths unknown, I float aboveOh, how I long to dive beneath your surface, yet I am timid in matters of loveIf brave, I’d have shown you the whole of my gushing heart, no less than tides of bliss. Seeking depths unknown, I long to dive beneath your surface. Searching your eyes, I want for treasures lost on the ocean’s floor. The sun, like a gold coin, drops, splashing this face of regretI blush in secret thoughts of you and turn away from the endless shore. A swoop from seagulls catches the light of your smile and breaks the hush of late skyTurning away from the endless shore of regret, I blush. My lonely shore may flood, a wish to bathe in the caress of you grantedI shall break from fear, to brave a rolling river between us. Down current, I’ll swim until I reach your ocean of sparkling blues. I would drown in the waves of your uncharted watersGlorious would be death in the caress of you, your uncharted waters…glorious. A Near Death Experience of A Sweetheart

"A Near-Death Experience of A Sweetheart" Floating through a corridor between two different Worlds among white fluffy clouds and shimmering stars awhile wind unfurls racing into darkness: destination to death's door living in a heavenly kingdom.forevermore.. Traveling through deep tunnel as cold fingers touch walls of blackened essence creating thoughts to clutch quickly toward a bright white light of peace my soul and spirit being experienced soft release.. Rushing to a Paradise, landing on streets of gold seeing the Face of God so clearly to behold longing to embrace my dear departed family loved ones who had gone before to their final destiny.. Their captivating smiles excited my soul sharing love once more as was in their earthly roll but a huge white Angel stood between my track he spoke mentally "child of God you must go back. And yet, I was not sad but happy to have seen my precious treasured relatives cuddled by Supreme Being why? I questioned must I return to Planet Earth? Angel responed not your time to stay your purpose unfulfilled for God to cherish every day.. Suddenly transported through the tunnel smelling flowers a jorney taking minutes but feeling like hours and soon the sights and sounds ignited quiet hospital room while my loved ones endured possibility of doom.. My husband was squeezing my hand so tight I felt his love as my children sobbed so loud praying to above my eyes opened wide as I inhaled a breath escaping to my body while I avoided Death.. This near-death experience was an inspiration for another realm exists in utter fascination for now the message lives to enjoy both love and life have no fear for death is harmless and erases strife.. Hover close to God and always give Him thankxxx through trials and tribulations He relieves all angst Treasure every moment and anticipate the end a beutiful place is waiting reuniting family and friends.. Kisses and hugs replaced those solitary tears knowing what lies ahead extinguishes all fears please celebrate the gift of life in grateful attitude Eternity is awesome with unending interlude.

A girl named Sue

POTW 1 Oct 2018

Gossip about her
swept the school yard through
“Hey if you’ve got what it takes
There’s this girl named Sue
For a pack of smokes
or a drink or two
She’ll kiss you ~ she’ll please you
like no other girl can do”

Her fuchsia glossed lips
Matched the colour of her hair
Her legs went on forever
She had a self-assured flair
He yearned for those baby blues
to stray his way
How did the cool guys snare girls
come what may?

Dreams on his pillow a teenage fantasy Were seconds away from becoming a manly reality She promised to meet him in the park one night Two packs of Marlboro’s Under the pale moonlight A brief kiss on the lips then as she swiftly turned to go He yanked her back hard and as she fell to the floor A fantasy was shattered Hopes tossed away ~ abused Feelings of rejection Cast aside and confused
He lived in an era Where double standards were applauded Girls were shamed For going all the way Boys rewarded However integrity doesn’t stoop to lows no need to impress Head high as he walked it was not worth the stress
The journey was his ~ along this untrodden road Tomorrow ~ todays rejection would be yesterday’s episode Every step away from her was a gentle elixir Then came her words on the wind ~ barely a whisper
‘Hey ~ I’m a virgin too ~ and a skank I’m not They sully my name and my character they blot The smokes are for my mum it eases her pain And for my sick Ma I’ll do this again and again’ Continued in 'Tears on her pillow'...

Best Friend Defined

What's a best friend,
But the smell before rain?
The hand that we give,
When a friend is in pain

It's the things that we do,
The words that we say
That pulls a friend through,
When their heart's torn away

It's the steps that we take,
The songs that we sing
It's the choices we make,
And the hope that we bring

I'm here through the tears,
I'm here through the laughter,
I'll always be here
Until death, and after

It's the things we give up;
The things we give in
When our heart's full of love,
And selfless begins

It's the hearts that we touch,
The things that we won't
We never give up,
We could, but we don't

It's the people we save,
With the hands that we give
When we're lost, we still say,
You're my reason to live

I'm here through the tears,
I'm here through the laughter
I'll always be here,
Until death, and after

No thunder without lightning

Lightning rarely strikes without thunder,
causing havoc in gloomy skies.
Humans can't control their plunder,
seeking shelter until the storm dies.

Once, I was your prince - full of charm
and you my willing Cinderella.
Kept you safe from storms that could harm,
just like a human umbrella.

We danced from spring until the fall
and laughed so much, until you cried.
Now here I stand, trying to recall,
that exact moment the music died.

Those eyes of soft chocolate brown,
gleamed with your sweet tender smile.
Now all you seem to do is frown,
and even a glance seems like a trial.

Its been such a long time
since my kiss made those lips quiver,
and my hands didn't commit a crime,
but now my touch makes you shiver.

To unlock those sad songs in your mind,
I couldn't sing the correct lyrics.
Still the right words, I struggle to find
as I love you, doesn't raise your spirits.

As our love begins to rot,
regret plants seeds of discontent.
Yet my love remains, but yours does not,
as you lose yourself in malcontent.

How ironic as you walk away,
the radio plays our special song.
I don't have the strength to make you stay,
after all, it would only be wrong.

Your ghost will linger in the gust
with memories that wish to remain.
When bridges burn, ashes turn to dust,
its difficult to erase this pain.

As Flowers Crumble Collaboration with Silent One

Lullabies through tear filled eyes
It's truly, love at first sight
The bond is forged and galvanized
To hold forever tight

Each time you needed a hand
She always had one free
From then on, when in demand
As soft as she needed to be

No sacrifice was too great
A patient answer to every, "why?"
That look when you came home late
When you didn't come home, she'd cry

As flowers begin to crumble
your eyes look tired and hands so frail
Breaks my heart to see you stumble
as tears fall with your skin so pale

No one can ever take your place
nor replace your angelic love
Your life is full of prestige grace
precious beauty like a white dove

Mum's sweet words flow like a fountain
such wisdom will always live on
Her love conquers the highest mountain
fills me with pride to be her son

She Walks In Silence

She walks in silence, like a lapping wave
drowned in chastity and flooded with rave
holding dear and tight her very beauties
denying all her gems and rubies.
Her powers disabled under the spell
the flame in wouldn’t break out of its shell.

Tempted to trace a humming call of fate
allured but reluctant to take the bait.
The strings of her heart lost their pitch and tone
the clutches of mind hurting to the bone.
Untraceable are the paths to no end
unable to soul unself and ascend.

She walks in silence, like a gliding breeze
fervent rising prayers brought her to her knees
seeking the blessings of grace, peace and love
if only her pain she could rise above.
Nameless beauty would dissolve in her womb
Her wounds.sins she would carry to her tomb.

Inspired by “She Walks In Beauty” Lord Byron (George Gordon)

Obsessed with love

Hate is an unnecessary need
in the book of necessities.
Love is the key component
within the book of obsessities.

Lust is an unfaithful guide
misguiding towards fake perceptions.
Sincere love is the pioneer
in overcoming deceptions.

Love is that perfect song,
which reminds you of mother's lullabies.
The aroma of an elegant rose,
attracting butterflies.
Picturesque horizons staining the sky,
as birds admire in full flight.
Moon kissing her loyal stars
as curtains are drawn for the night.
An innocent child's laughter
that brings tranquillity to the heart.
A baby's first giggle,
a reminder of God's beautiful art.
Beloveds crossing upon love's path,
as each route leads to their fate.
Tingle of that first kiss,
finally holding hands with your soul mate.

I'm guilty, that's my confession,
LOVE is my only obsession.

Whisper Soft Into The Night

Distant prayers echo through a lilac sky
light flickers brilliantly in angelic eyes
a yellow crocheted blanket falls to the floor
and a growing heart winks inside.

Kindness breeds kindness in a precious heart
and a kindred spirit lifts and flies free
helping our fellow man in need
forgiving selfishness and greed

Open up your heart and mind
another child feeds a hungry soul
for one who loves to love, the greatest
blessing of all, is seeing the one you love, love

Whisper soft into the night my dire want
let the rains wash down a growing grace
carry off grandeur into a sequel led estate
as a simple smile adorns a very humble face

Hero

In a world where hearts ignore compassionate cries. Acts of kindness become rare, so empathy dies. As human nature loses the skill to listen, his mission is to help every smile to glisten. He needs no theme song to introduce his name, nor has a desire to reach Hollywood fame. No x-ray vision nor bionic power, he can't read minds nor move the Eiffel tower. His tongue is an olive branch forming peaceful words, most beautiful soul whose heart can conquer swords. When sorrow calls and heartache leaves the mind in knots, his sincere voice will calm those tormented thoughts. The tenderness of his fingertips will soothe dark scars, as the heart heals, it will illuminate like stars. He sees no difference between a dove or pigeon, his humble heart spreads love like a religion. He is not the sandman, but he can help bring dreams, he has no halo, but his love flows like streams. His life is like a cherry blossom bud full of grace, a butterfly who doesn't belong in this place. In his quest he sacrifices his own pain, aware his emotions are like sandcastles in rain. He knows death awaits, but his empathy bleeds, continuing to inspire, ignoring his own needs. The Silent One 18 November 2017

The Amorous Mystique

Can it be, into this world we are dropped from heavenly streams that have never stopped? With sweet hope gifted to our souls delight, oceans of love and its fiery desires; ladies so fair, we thank our keen eyesight and leap into romance hottest fires. Can it be, wonderment is our reward given for living in a world so hard? With love's soulmate waiting a heart to touch, deepest seas of hot sexual pleasures; daring to embrace and love very much this bountiful store, of life's great treasures. Can it be, that in life's short duration we go beyond mere infatuation? With deeper dreams that bless spirits in need, grant romantic nights of sweetest relief; birth greatest pleasures of harvested seeds fruited in soul's spiritual beliefs. Your questions asked with pulsing energy of lovers’ wonderland of synergy.. Gifts do flow from fountain to foundations of souls inspiring minds to understand; seductive passion’s yearning flirtations of red embers roused to lusty flames fanned. In awe you long to know love’s mysteries, untangling threads in tender reveries.. Of all the gold offered in sun’s rich rays Sol would be poor in the worth of our love; for never could there be more wealth of praise than for ambrosial taste from gods above. During this life as our lustrous hearts’ beat we can transcend mundane with love’s white heat.. Our physical plane of mortal being is heightened with intimate unity; body and soul in tantra foreseeing weaving love’s strands into eternity. Her Grace, Soft As The Silence Of Morn's Falling Dew

Her romantic letters, birth as heart pure and true supported deep vows we both swore to be held to. Her grace, soft as the silence of morn's falling dew with vows to keep hot passion of love that is new. Spring had brought this loving angel truly divine her beauty and purity no words could define. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. Nature spoke to her and she in turn gave away nuggets of its splendors, rich truths none can betray. As Heaven and Sky blessed her every foot fall she never said uttered a word needing recall. Her time on earth, gifted only goodness and light romancing her first love and precious was her sight. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts. Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. I read her yearning poetry each heartfelt verse and in her rapture was my being’s full immerse. Word-whispers from the page caressed me wispy thrill reminding me of days sweet gilt of daffodil and petals pink neath dream girl skies so soft, in sooth enchanting was the tender season of her youth. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts. Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. In quiet hush before sunrise our love was lush until aurora banished night in her gold rush of dawning tipsy in wine-stained heavens shinin’ desires spilled our lusty reds across horizon - a blaze of colors branding love’s intensity, time and space sparked by fired hearts’ electricity. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts. Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. Enlightened spirit from defeat of sorrow’s foe, her gift, in written verse of love, to set aglow a life of beauty echoing the words of love now distant in the skies with kindness up above when golden strings of sacred lust remain in thrills of woven love, entangled in a braid of frills. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts. Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. Her fragile throne of virtues goodness cast in gold beyond eternal love, angelic charms behold through mortal death returned to God’s celestial care to guide from heavens, words of wisdom in her prayer endowment of the past as lover’s hearts enlace with charms beyond life, she remains my saving grace. Spirited, she sang - forever united hearts. Her soft kiss and moans, treasures found on no star charts. Still Waiting

You loved me just a little
You never loved me long;
But you gave my soul serenity
And gave my heart a song.

You loved me for a moment
I found it in your eyes;
But your mouth I could not capture
By temptation or surprise.

Sweet lips that I remember
With a poignant surge of pain
As one remembers fragrance
Of the softly falling rain.

Within this world of wonder
Without warning I feel sad;
The dream I hold still haunts me
For the kiss I never had.

Yesterday's Fragile Truth

Betrayal has devastated your heart blocking love’s magic before it could start. And depression's quagmire entraps your soul as disparaging lies exact their toll. Chameleon clouds change to match your mood releasing teardrops emotions have brewed. And your heart breaks from the weight of the pain as monsters hide in the thoughts of the sane A fickle sun no longer shares its light sulking within shadows gathered by night. And feigning feelings you struggle to cope for counterfeit smiles leave no room for hope. The specter of fear that penetrates dreams fuels frightening bouts of silent screams. And exiting the tunnel there’s no light for the future’s foggy obscured by fright. The promise of tomorrow made to youth was written on yesterday’s fragile truth. For happiness is a word without weight it's simply a moment devoid of hate. (Rhyme) 4/22/2017

My Love Shall Find You

Through eternal sun stars and space
My love shall find you I will embrace
Thru invisible realms and empty voids
There is nothing that my love avoids

Thru stormy clouds and distant dreams
My love shall be there in sailing streams
Within broken hearts and withered souls
My love shall rise above these hellish holes

Thru lonely streets and dark smoked rooms
My love shall find you through the fumes
Within abandoned hope and life on edge
My love shall find you this I solely pledge

Thru forgotten time and distant sorrow
My love shall find you with Cupids arrow
Thru hell itself and the armies of darkness
My love shall enlighten even the heartless

Thru times of grief and unwanted wasted war
Just look above for my love will start to pour
Thru anguished thoughts and apprehensions
My love shall find you through all dimensions.

Loving Years

Dark honey tanned skin glistens
    From the moisture of humidity.
The ladies flirt shamelessly with
You, but your eyes gaze upon me.

Your stature looms at six foot three.
    Your swimmer's shoulders impress.
In our island sea we swim leisurely,
Traces of salt remain as you dress.

White sandy beaches, ever your haven.
We sip Riesling as the stars appear.
Nestled in your arms, time takes flight.
I feel so safe when you are near.

Your strength amply hides a tender heart.
The depth of your voice all admire.
When we first met I became enamored,
Feelings that quickly turned to desire.

We have shared so much over the years.
    More happiness than dark sorrows.
Family treasures that brightly shine,
Reigning with love into our tomorrows.

In the autumn of our lives I feel the chill
    Of winter's inevitable harsh advance,
Yet days of youth remain in our hearts,
Memories held, that time shall enhance.

A Last Poem for You, My Mate

A Last Poem for You, My Mate

If Death comes calling in colorful spring
I hope it will come in the month of May
When our garden is filled with fragrant blooms
That you have tended in your caring way.

Pansies and daisies with their sweet faces
Look up to agapanthus lofty height.
Each bloom as diverse as we are humans,
Each offers beauty to my love's delight.

Please don't come in summer when school is out,
Time with our grandchildren I cherish so.
I can't think of ruining their fun time
I'm pleading, in summer, don't make me go.

The times that we share at the pool or parks
Is precious to me as watching them grow.
They fill my heart with such laughter and joy
I feel their love too...I'm letting you know.

Oh Death, come in autumn, my favored time.
When green leaves turn scarlet, orange and gold.
My eyes feast on beauty of changing trees,
Grateful for my seasons of growing old.

Autumn transcends my soul's true endeavors
To leave with you poetic words, my mate.
My legacy...to our generations
As we must all accept Death as our fate.

In winter, a time of quiet and rest...
When reflections of past mirror our views
And we watch as our life spreads before us
If it’s time to leave, I wish I could choose.

However Death, should you come in winter,
When the Earth like my hair is bathed in white,
I'd embrace your visit in my winter
To dwell forever in God's divine light.

12-12-18 rev.

All In All, True Magnificent Treasures Given

All In All, True Magnificent Treasures Given

Luscious the fruits, beautiful under moonlit beams
firmly planted roots, outstandingly hot, lush-sent dreams
all in all, glorified visions, heavenly sent
treasured deeply with rapture stored, sweet love-nights spent.

Tender kissing bites, honeyed dessert offered free
wonderful the flights, through blossoming forests of trees
all in all, miracles were given, lost soul found
in resplendent nights, covering soft virgin grounds!

Gold fairy dusted, jeweled eyes sending bright smiles
each promise trusted, an angel with no dark wiles
all in all, true magnificent treasures given
gracefully sent, in true-deep bliss, purely driven.

Beneath plum skies starlight glistening in her eyes
I see all I desire, and I do fantasize -
looking into her goddess blues, crystal gazing;
of our wild delight to be forever blazing.

In Eden’s solitude we dance to soft sighs of
waltzing wind-songs’ stirring verses promising love
with lilting whispered melodies so inspiring
my appetite for her wanton and untiring.

Ancient woodland’s moon casts smitten luminescence
breathtaking in beauty she outshines its presence
ecstasy flows an intoxicating river
inebriating essence in love’s deliver.

Your vivacious beauty enhanced by golden rays
illuminating your grace with a loving gaze
with ardent reflection of my phantom desire
to allow the pledge of love finally transpire.

Two common souls released from infernal abyss
to engage a rendezvous with heavenly bliss.
Together our spirits soar to realms of delight,
two lost souls united in the fading twilight.

With a chapter closing in reverie’s accord
we share a secret paradise of love’s award.
All in all, wondrous senses of passion recall,
from heart to soul we reminisce, as love is all.

Beneath plum skies starlight glistening in her eyes
I see all I desire and I do fantasize -
looking into her goddess blues, crystal gazing;
of our wild delight to be forever blazing...

In Eden’s solitude we dance to soft sighs of
waltzing wind-songs’ stirring verses promising love,
with lilting whispered melodies so inspiring
my appetite for her wanton and untiring.

Ancient woodland’s moon casts smitten luminescence
breathtaking in beauty she outshines its presence,
ecstasy flows an intoxicating river
inebriating essence in love’s deliver.

Your vivacious beauty enhanced by golden rays
illuminating your grace with a loving gaze
with ardent reflection of my phantom desire
to allow the pledge of love finally transpire.

Two common souls released from infernal abyss
to engage a rendezvous with heavenly bliss.
Together our spirits soar to realms of delight,
two lost souls united in the fading twilight.

With a chapter closing in reverie’s accord
we share a secret paradise of love’s award.
All in all, wondrous senses of passion recall,
from heart to soul we reminisce, as love is all.

The Amorous Mystique

The Amorous Mystique

Can it be, into this world we are dropped
from heavenly streams that have never stopped?

With sweet hope gifted to our souls delight,
oceans of love and its fiery desires;
ladies so fair, we thank our keen eyesight
and leap into romance hottest fires.

Can it be, wonderment is our reward
given for living in a world so hard?

With love's soulmate waiting a heart to touch,
deepest seas of hot sexual pleasures;
daring to embrace and love very much
this bountiful store, of life's great treasures.

Can it be, that in life's short duration
we go beyond mere infatuation?

With deeper dreams that bless spirits in need,
grant romantic nights of sweetest relief;
birth greatest pleasures of harvested seeds
fruited in soul's spiritual beliefs.

Your questions asked with pulsing energy
of lovers’ wonderland of synergy..

Gifts do flow from fountain to foundations
of souls inspiring minds to understand;
seductive passion’s yearning flirtations
of red embers roused to lusty flames fanned.

In awe you long to know love’s mysteries,
untangling threads in tender reveries..

Of all the gold offered in sun’s rich rays
Sol would be poor in the worth of our love;
for never could there be more wealth of praise
than for ambrosial taste from gods above.

During this life as our lustrous hearts’ beat
we can transcend mundane with love’s white heat..

Our physical plane of mortal being
is heightened with intimate unity;
body and soul in tantra foreseeing
weaving love’s strands into eternity.

Moonlight Madness

MOONLIGHT MADNESS

The moon falls out like a secret above the frisky clouds
Daylight and night the stars come in crowds
Like a glistening diamond, I can't stop staring
Mixed-up in that moment that has no time sharing

Holding onto the tip of the tree limbs like a puppeteer
I can hear the words the moon whispers into my ear

TONIGHT!
I will illuminate into a world only I know of
My very own little secret sparkling island getaway
A world where beauty hides the beast
I'll be the only exile under a sunless night feast

TONIGHT!
I'm going to pass on all my secrets away---
As I have on my dreaming moonlit gear
Comfort upon this mundane wonder, astronomical sphere

TONIGHT!
I looked one last time at the mooned night
I will close my eyes, and find myself in a box kite flight.

TONIGHT!
I will lay myself down to sleep,
Not allowing my imagination to rinse off with wild sheep
Like a Nightingale, I rather sit and serenade myself to sleep
With the refreshing thought, the moon is like the pillow I keep

In this mad, mad world!
The moon seems to be the only object that holds it's sanity
Arousing me with it's inner peace and spirituality

I Share My Soul

A pair of morning-doves preen and prim
snuggled close on their favorite limb.
And cooing low, wake a sleeping sun
giving praise for a new day begun.

A slip of a ghostly moon rides low
wearing its light like a pale halo.
And Sol ascends master of the day
hailing dawn with His brilliant display.

Vapors shed crystal tears on the grass
depositing dewdrops clear as glass.
And blooming flowers imbue the air
with a sweet fragrance beyond compare

Tall lanky palms of feathery leaf
are clad in a green southern motif.
And skittish crabs play tag with the waves
darting in and out of flooded caves

Sipping wine while enjoying the show
we greet the day with a happy glow.
And as romance and nature combine
I share my soul with my Valentine.

Kiss Loneliness Goodbye written by Tim Smith and Seren

I sit here and ponder the days that have past
The many loves that I had, that just didn’t last.
One really sticks out, wish I had another chance
Treating her so differently, I’d show her romance.

I loved once a man, who just wanted to play
At being romanticlife was just foreplay.
Thought a kiss would be enough for his turtle dove
Not thinking about feelings, whether I wanted love.

We would start a family, having a baby or two
We’d live on the hillside, with a beautiful view,
We’d grow old together in the home that we build
Giving my life meaning, I’d be so fulfilled.

He now thinks that he wants me, I am the one
to fill up his heart to make me his own.
Promising me a home on a hillside with a view
Yet he hasn’t vowed that he would be true.

I’d hold her and cherish her til the day we depart
I’d profess to her my love and give her my heart
Romantic nights on that hill gazing up at the moon
Our days filled with laughter, frolicking in the lagoon

Sure he now promises me love for ever after
A life of joy, happiness and full of laughter
On that hillside we’d sit, watching the world go by,
A family, two dogs at our feet, kissing loneliness goodbye.

I Love

I Love

to snuggle in my bed, no one around,
the purring of my cat the only sound.
And whether near a window streaming light
or with a lamp nearby me late at night,
I hold within my hands all boredom’s cure,
for I’m embarking on a magic tour.

I might be visiting a queen and king
while on my way to find a hidden ring.
Dark knights attackBefore the tale is done,
I am a hairy hobbit on the run!
Fear, though, is addictingOh, heart be still!
I’m chased through pages of a bookThe thrill!

So many kinds of places I can go.
So many kinds of characters to know.
To ancient times on any given day
I might end up and then be swept away.
a slave girl who is yearning for the chance
to be set free and even find romance!

At other times, I’m in a mystery
or in a crazy person’s mind I’ll be!
When lost in a good plot, I just can’t wait
to finish up and know my hero’s fate.
To live another life I only need
to open up a book and start to read!
