You Took My Place

Amazing love,
Amazing grace,
You gave Your life,
You took my place.
I should have died,
On Calvary's tree,
But You stepped in,
And died for me.

What can I say?
What can I do?
To show my love,
My gratitude?
To You my Lord,
My Savior King,
For becoming my
Sin offering?

Here is my heart,
Here is my soul,
Come Lord Jesus,
Take control.
The old is gone,
You've made me new.
You died for me,
I'll live for you.

Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

Criminals
dance with slum lords
they shed fake tears
victims they shout
from Ivory towers

Mock and attack
they of dark cloth and deceit
possesses no real God
they whoreship only their prey
living by night not day

Some even screech praise untowards
sick is the mind who follows
dead morals and upended graves
they really are the bully's slaves
Yet their churches pew is full

Criminals all
singing love songs
sewing fear and anger
no wonder God got fed up
evicting them one and all

Prayer

One more morning, after one more night,
One more thanks for keeping things right,
One prayer to bed,one as you rise,
Good morning God,thanks for another sun rise,
Prayer is the fuel that keep us going,
Through troubled times, pray for strength keep rowing,
And without fear step out, face the unknowing,
Although all around negativity blowing,
Every day, even one positive seed, try sowing,
Within my veins,God love is flowing,
God is my friend, the devil, not interested to know him,
Here comes the garbage truck, over there throw him,
Don't just say you love God,pray show Him,
Remember prayer keeps us,spiritual growing...

Good Friday

Good Friday

Nailed to the cross
you all say it was a good Friday
It was not for me
my blood mocked by soldiers
nor was it good for you
you haven't learned
in ten thousand seasons
there is no Lord
only things you do not know
you claim glory
a bankrupt human emotion
I told you no to religion
you made me one
you will kill each other
to say I am love
You are nothing more than a simulation
in my child's bedroom
  You are less than ants
	in the scheme
of the universe
	Orthodox Russians
		Raging genocide
when will you learn?

India

I read with greed John Master's books,
to Indian culture introduced.
I grew to love a distant land;
by her allure I was seduced.

To Indian culture introduced,
I felt the urge to go and see
the striking beauty of her face,
the charms bestowed abundantly.

I grew to love a distant land
where the traditions are held high,
religion, races, culture, tongues
are deep-ingrained - will never die.

By her allure I was seduced,
this vibrant country in the east.
I plan to take a closer look
and let my eyes in wonder feast.

Be Still

Be still and know that God is with you.
Be still and know His love is real.
Be still and know your Heavenly Father,
Feels every joy and pain you feel.

Be still and let God's love enfold you.
Be still and know His perfect peace.
Be still and know God is all-sufficient,
His grace and mercy will never cease.

Be still and know that God is for you.
Be still and know you're not alone.
Be still and know He'll ne'er forsake you.
He knows your name - you are His own.

Be still and know that God is holy.
Be still and learn His righteous ways.
Be still and know that God is worthy,
To receive our worship and our praise.

Why Can'T We All Just Get Along

“Why can't we all just get along” Rodney King once uttered these words As current today as it was back then Our “head in the sand” thinking, it disturbs We're all just members of the human race Why divide us up, us and them Brothers that will meet our maker one day What's so very important until then In the overall scheme of earthly things Only love should rise above all Colour, language and religion all secondary Co-existence must be installed Maybe I'm just whistling in the wind But if my small voice does make a difference Then hear me loud and clear as I shout To reject it is a display of ignorance

Enemies We Were Never Born

No, my loving friend,

Enemies we were never born but we were made

By all those evil men who had the most to gain

Thus I implore you ready to be each other to embrace

Forgetting to which religion we belong and to what race!

Flick of Light

A flick of light within my soul becomes a beacon for my life wherein I join with You in Christ free from normal life of strife. Today breaks boldly clear and bright A bastion holds me safe from sin and fills my heart with calming Voice to sooth and hold me close within. How grateful I become for You who teaches that Your love may cope with those who challenge You exist, persuaded by Your voice of hope.

I Celebrate Easter

Good Friday, is the day Jesus was crucified on the cross.
Jesus was willing to give His life for ours in order to give
us eternal life.

Easter Sunday, is the day Jesus rose from his tomb.
This is a joyous day and reminds us of His love for all
of us.

This is why I celebrate Easter, because I love Jesus for
all he did for you and for me.
He has prepared us a home in heaven and filled it with
his everlasting love for us.

Islam Is Peace

I'm a Muslim whose voice remains unheard.
Peace was the first thing I eagerly learned.
Peace, the world's main hope and ambition,
Is the ultimate goal and name of my religion.
"Peace be upon you" is my all-time greeting
To everyone I run into or see at a meeting.
Love, the world's greatest aim and ambition,
Is the be-all and end-all of my religion.
Our Prophet once said, "Shall I tell you what to do
to find love, let there be peace among you?"
Let there be peace and love will grow.
Faster and stronger than all we know.
Islam is peace that leads to love
If peace is there, so will be love.

Valentine

Valentinius--
Not much is known about him,
But all girls love him.

Saint Valentine's Feast,
On February fourteenth:
Mostly chocolates!

It would make more sense
To honor Aphrodite...
So then, why don't we?!

Love songs and empty words curled
Around ideas of what love
Should be, like horns that ram the unsuspecting,
Shaking and shattering bones
And all expectation of the
Normalcy in past, weak coals that don’t smolder.
Life as it should be intrigued
My mind, kindled my spirit, and
Sizzled my heart as he seeped into my pores.
Head-strong and stubborn, he carved
The strict laws into his essence.
He obeyed these principles as religion,
And like a lamb he followed
The world’s ideology of
Perfection deeper into the demise he
Designed himself every time
He bleated for a white ewe,
Not out of his love of crisp snow, but the world’s.

Where the water ends, land begins
Flowers engulfed by the dew

Finding God

Finding God The one who finds the Father Can also find the Son Then the Holy Spirit Can mark the chosen one. Then all time can be counted As time spent faithfully In service to the Holy One Who watches over you and me. Then words like grace and mercy Mixed with perfect love Are ours to keep forever When sent from up above. Thus, sonnets can be written And all our sin is smitten. Written by John Posey 8/10/14

Why I Love the Lord

I love u Jesus for what you've done for me

You died on the cross of Calvary

You didn't think about your self

Coz you wanted me to be saved from hell

The crown of thorns upon your head

And the fact that for my sin you bled

When I think about the pain that u bore

I start to love u more and more

Words can't express my love for you

You've changed my life made it brand new

So now I have a place secured in Paradise

I'll reach there when I close my eyes

I want to live to please you Lord

Coz you are the maker, the One true God

The Unborn Child

The Unborn Child

I wonder will they let me in?
Will they furnish me with life support?
I want to be my Grandpa's friend,
his pride, his joy, and his hero in sports.

Really, it’s not his decision
for these nine months to go on through.
Mom and Dad, it’s up to your religion
to see that I’m worthwhile and needed, too.

Oh God, I’ll make them love me,
please, God, tell them both to go on.
I won't act hardheaded, nor wicked nor will I be ,
apathetic and sad, nor gripe and moan.

I’ll lie restfully in my Mother's arms.
Please, God, tell them both to let me be
BORN.

The Wild Child

My past was violent.
My world was quaint.
They made me a demon,
instead of a saint.
My past was full of cruelty.
They called it love.
I only felt the darkness,
as they preached from above.
They said I was a sinner,
that I should change my ways.
Whilst I cried with fury,
I hoped, an end to my days.
They shackled my wrists,
and tried to warp my mind.
Telling me, in Gods love,
freedom I would find.
With pride and arrogance,
they did this to a child.
They tried to birth a sheep.
Born rather, an animal that is wild.
