Uncharted Waters

An ocean tumbles through dreams of youIn depths unknown, I float aboveOh, how I long to dive beneath your surface, yet I am timid in matters of loveIf brave, I’d have shown you the whole of my gushing heart, no less than tides of bliss. Seeking depths unknown, I long to dive beneath your surface. Searching your eyes, I want for treasures lost on the ocean’s floor. The sun, like a gold coin, drops, splashing this face of regretI blush in secret thoughts of you and turn away from the endless shore. A swoop from seagulls catches the light of your smile and breaks the hush of late skyTurning away from the endless shore of regret, I blush. My lonely shore may flood, a wish to bathe in the caress of you grantedI shall break from fear, to brave a rolling river between us. Down current, I’ll swim until I reach your ocean of sparkling blues. I would drown in the waves of your uncharted watersGlorious would be death in the caress of you, your uncharted waters…glorious. The Stone

The Tale below was carved one night
Upon the Stone, by candlelight
...most won’t believe, but some just might
.........most won’t believe, but some just might

                         Preface

Well James made Beth his lovely bride
(And angels smiled, though teary eyed)
...their bodies bound, their spirits tied
.........their bodies bound, their spirits tied

Upon her hand, a shimmer shone,
As bright as blood, a ruby Stone
...and brighter still, as love had grown
.........and brighter still, as love had grown

Soon James was sent to man a sail
So Beth removed her wedding veil
...her eyes were moist, her face was pale
.........her eyes were moist, her face was pale

“Well, I’ll be here when you return”
Said Beth to James, who kissed in turn
...a kiss that made her body burn
.........a kiss that made her body burn

                         BETH’S TALE

1 The Dream

One night, within a dream deformed,
The cawing of a Crow informed
“...the Ship was struck where winter stormed
.........the Ship was struck where winter stormed

Midst winds and waves the thunder boomed
The Ship of Death was surely doomed
...the sea engulfed, the surf entombed
.........the sea engulfed, the surf entombed

Your James… deceived by Davy Jones!
With spirit freed, his flesh and bones
...now rest amongst the ashen Stones
.........now rest amongst the ashen Stones”

2 The Quest

Awoken by the ebon Wight
And beckoned by the baneful bight
...I left before the morning light
.........I left before the morning light

Throughout the realm I rode a roan
Until, in time, I reached the Stone
...where shades in dreams of darkness groan
.........where shades in dreams of darkness groan

While skipping up and down the sky
A missing moonbeam mocked my eye
...enough to make a Swallow cry
.........enough to make a Swallow cry

For someone stole a star or two
And something else that fate withdrew -
..my jewel of joy, my James Bijou
.........my jewel of joy, my James Bijou

The shadows of the evening swelled
Where demons of the dusk had dwelled
...and in the far, a vesper knelled
.........and in the far, a vesper knelled

The Stone, beneath the sky, stood cold -
Between the runes, a vapour strolled
...a cloak of fleecy fog consoled
.........a cloak of fleecy fog consoled

A Raven on a branch, enthroned,
Her wings waved once, a wail intoned
...beyond the bay, a banshee moaned
.........beyond the bay, a banshee moaned

I lay beside the Stone, his bride
I lay beside the Stone and cried
...but were it I, instead, that died
.........but were it I, instead, that died

The rainbow of the moon fell dim
A midnight Swan soon ceased to swim
...as if to hide all hint of him
.........as if to hide all hint of him

Between the willows in the swale
Bewailed a Bird, a Nightingale
...which left me faint, my body frail
.........which left me faint, my body frail

3 Contact

I felt him breathe within a breeze
Responding to my anguished pleas
...and leaves blew by abandoned trees
.........and leaves blew by abandoned trees

“Eternal love, my darling Beth”
Enshrined within a final breath
...re-echoed from the Ship of Death
.........re-echoed from the Ship of Death

The Stone lit up a ruby sheen
And clouds were kindled crystalline
...with consequences, unforeseen
.........with consequences, unforeseen

Above, a wretched Raven soared
To where the Ship of Death’d been moored
...below, the icy ocean roared
.........below, the icy ocean roared

4 Release

I’m joined with James beneath the Stone,
Though to the Ship my spirit’s flown,
...for nevermore to be alone
.........for nevermore to be alone

                         Epilogue
That night the wayward winds were weird
The Ship of Death had disappeared
...coyotes called and mortals feared
.........coyotes called and mortals feared

At dusk, the craven shadows crawled
At dawn, the winds of mourning called
...upon the Stone two names were scrawled
.........upon the Stone two names were scrawled

The Raven sits, with wings outspread,
Atop the Stone which shades the dead
...it sometimes shimmers ruby red
.........it sometimes shimmers ruby red

                         Epitaph
Between the sounds, where silence seeps,
Their love lives on and never sleeps
...and yet, the weeping willow weeps
.........and yet, the weeping willow weeps

Love Becomes An Ocean

Barefoot we spend our time in spring, Just giggling kids - how sweet the dream When we, in love are blossoming. We splash inside a cool fresh stream. Our time in spring - how sweet the dream! A few years pass; there comes an ache for something more in summertime. We feel such heat! Down by the lake we soothe our acheIt is sublime down by the lake in summertime! Refrain: Love is a stream, and then it grows. A river soon, through life it flows! And two enduring to the end see love become an ocean then! A rushing river, wanting more, through highs and lows, still so in love, we roll down to the ocean’s shore where memories we’ve plenty of! We stroll fall’s shore, still so in love. An ocean of devotion lies ahead of us – deep like the sea. Our souls live on; the greatest prize - to share out love eternally! Oh winter’s love, deep like the sea Refrain: Love is a stream, and then it grows A river soon, through life it flows! And two enduring to the end see love becomes an ocean then! for Bobby May's 'Your Interpretation of what Love is' Poetry Contest

Where my True Love Lives - A Ballade

Seared upon my soul for ever more
That break of dawn upon a summer morn
As I made my way along that rocky shore
Strewn with remnants from a ragging storm
When through a rising mist of gray - so forlorn
I saw a badly broken sinking ship
With canvas wings of white so sadly torn
There beneath those majestic purple cliffs

And as that mighty fearless ocean roared
With salty breezy breath so filled with scorn
I saw it rise up from the ocean floor
Wrapped in a velvet coat so frayed and worn
A red, red, rose impaled upon a thorn
Where passion bled like rain from ruby lips
Upon a vivid memory reborn
There beneath those majestic purple cliffs

The wind - it whispered - in my ear - Lenore
As black clouds in the sky began to form
Into a face I’d never seen before
With hollow cheeks that endless tears adorned
That fell in frozen crystal drops so foreign....
Then from those clouds his face began to slip
And I cried the tears of a woman scorned
There beneath those majestic purple cliffs

Lenore, the love he would forever mourn
That from his pen on page in words did drip
As I read his poetry and love was born
There beneath those majestic purple cliffs.

Beauty Kisses The Beast

Sun golden shining warm upon the back speaks
wind cutting cold chills freezing thoughts held
captivating love standing a vigil faraway dream

Touching warm fingers of light in a deep blue painted sky
bewitching clouds gunbarrel grey shooting magic wishes
silver shading arrow points out into the softest peach charms spells

Everything spellbinding shines amazing beautiful enchanting
snow covered mountains cold winds howling and whistling tunes
bells in the distance calls you're the rock one clings to on Trawbrega's shores

Drawing behind the eyes wind bellowing whispers a blessing tides turn waves
inside joy burns one candle warmly flickering happiness butterflies dance
blue blazes to see the soul of a deeply treasured jewel forever sings

WAVE INTO YOU

I was the one with the color-blue eyes,
you were the wind on the sea
Of all the oceans tossed by your kiss
why did it have to be me?

Pardon this wind for causing the wave
                                                One as free-spirited as I
was myself surprised, your gravity called,
your lips I could not deny

A soaring breeze calms not a sea
and I would be remiss,
to think my journey to your heart
began with but a kiss

Why would you wonder, oh King of the deep
did you not feel the spark, the magic?
You wound my heart, with thoughts that start
to doubt my intent, it’s tragic

Indeed I felt it, burning deep,
your spark inflamed desire
Enraptured now, I long for more,
my heart a raging fire

Arise, my King, from current doubt
                                                 and begin to breathe anew
                                                 Haven't I hovered long enough
for you to get a clue?

Bend, oh Queen, yield your will
and we will rise above,
the ebb and tide of mortal bane
swept away in love

Into your ocean I'll sail my vessel
on a course set sound as stone
                                                  Prepare yourself oh majesty
for I will share your throne.

Soul Speak

      Allay..

Allay, my heart..
    Pray, hush your cadence..
For the sacred sake of unsated thirst
Beg thy thrums to be not now abounding.

Each dream comes haunting, dusted in dusk
Every sentimental pluck of your syrupy strings
Beckons her back to my yearnings, interminable
Every wistful pang is strummed by her affect on me.

This place, dipped in the dripping mist of morning
Echoes things quite beyond my words.of her
'Tis no forte for flowery phrase can capture it
No poetic capacity worthy of its description.

It pulls and mills my spirit like the ebb of the briny blue
But to its most dark, stinging, brumal depths.
She was such a visceral part of my fibre..
From the quintessence of deep, dreaming slumber

To the first nascent meandering of each wish-flavored morning
(Her sublime taste still seasoning my mouth.and my mentalities).
From the uncommon commonplace of teatime sun in her tresses
To the chipped-edge porcelain puddles of the mocking moon

Cackling at my fevered foolishness for its glint in her eyes
Or for her skin, when she'd dip her toes in pale pools of twilight.
My core breathed her like youth breathes rebellion
And the cells of her pressed on my emotions, infused my blood

Coursing like the fire of a drug through my arteries.
    Never.ne'er did I touch her
But to write secret stories on her skin
Fingertips spelling out sexy words in cursive

Or focusing the intent of my heart to a simple caress -
A brush of her shoulder, a graze of her cheek
A stroke to put her hair behind her ear
A pillow-deep hug - full of warmth and security

A gentle pat of her knee
Or a grasp of her hand.like heaven!
Each finger married to the spaces between mine, like perfect dovetail.
This place, to some, is just that - a place

But it was OUR place, you see, and it sighs of US
    Deeply, forlornly, achingly..
The wash of the waves is but the whisper of her name
The salt-sea fresh air aromas are her perfume

The feel of the cool sand under each footstep
Is but a soft memory of the tender, tousled passion we shared
        And this dark, misty day
Is the remnant of my heart..

The melancholy that drips from my spirit to the well of days gone.
I shall not come here again, though I love it so..
Oh, how I adore this place and all it means
But if I ever return, it will claim me..

It will swallow me as time has swallowed her
It will transform me to this damp, dour, graying mist
And I'll be lost to the wind and the dark
Just as surely as she is lost..

      To me.

Hope

The Dream

From the mouth of the ocean and the eye of the wave
You erupt in my being and leap from my grave;
A lover so gloomy, yet dreadfully bright
You're clothed with darkness but crowned with light.
You come in the spark, you soar with the fire
The mist is your pillow, the tornado your choir;
I will kiss you to sleep on the wild ocean crest
A sleeping volcano, an earthquake at rest.
When you feel the earth move under your feet
The sun will bathe you with her sultry heat;
Let not the stars dim the light in your eyes
Let not my passion find you unwise,
For all that you are is to be all that you can
For you are the dream, you are my man.

Birth and Death

The sun and moon conceived a star shooting through time and space born within the ocean delivered upon its waves while Beethoven's sonatas softly played nightly gales whispered those tunes to all the seashells beach sand passed through coral reefs as soles of lovers feet tread buried in beach fires deep begging the earth most humbly to draw a breath but over the cliff the hurricane's wind blew until death from those turbulent ocean waters came a sailor's truth watching a passing ship with broken sails and ghostly crew waiting as death cast it's ending shadow old, yet new sending those born in ocean waves back to the waters blue in birth and death none shall overcome casting us away to where everything was once created in it's hidden depths and there began an understanding between birth and death, a truce
Inspired by: John FKennedy." We are tied to the oceanAnd when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came." 9112007

Love At James Bond Beach

Making Love In Jamaica At The Iconic James Bond Beach It is a sun splashed day;  the air is silent with the sound of waves  the ocean is moving to the rhythm of crying gulls.  The fine white sand underneath our feet is warm. The crashing waters from a small wind sculpted waterfall swims  into the arms of its mother sea. It is a private beach at a spot in the world  where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meld. It is a wanting sensation of hot then cold, that teases the senses. The beach is deserted it is only me and the love of my life.  The golden rays of light from the bright morning star  lives in the flow of her platinum blond hair.  In her eyes I can see the bright clear ocean,  with a piercing love glare that beckons me.  Her red lips, her light drenched skin glows  with the beauty of this perfect Jamaican day. Without a thought I grab the back of her head,  jerking my lover's whole body towards me  locking her in the strength of my grasp  inviting her to quench my desire. I bite her lips before engaging in a deep passionate kiss  remove her barely there bikini from her statuesque figure. She embraces me as I lift her in my arms  naked for all the Gods to observe.  I set her down under the refreshing flow of the rushing waterfall.  She attempts to pull at me, but I deny her, hold back both her arms and use my mouth  to suckle her, all the time absorbing the beating waters  that kneads my flesh like so much dough. Suddenly I set her free.  She pounces  like a lioness  a lioness in heat  famished  for the taste of flesh. The world dissappears  I find myself willingly trapped in a void of marvel. Nature's voice conducts  an orchestra of emotions. We writhe in the ecstasy of touch as a series of divine strokes finger paints portraits of rapture.  We dance slow to the precise notes  of a symphony of love into the arms of serenity. In one fluid movement our bodies become one. There is no end to the flavors we consume. Cooling waters flame our sins.  We explode like a building imploding gracefully to the roar of a white sound. Finally we pass out  naked, locked in each others arms.  When we awaken we find ourselves lying on  the fine white sand beach. Tattooed  in the telling shades  of a Jamaican suntan. 02~11~2014 Sponsor: Justin Bordner Contest Name: Make Love To Me In That Ancient Place

If You Are The Ocean...

If you are the ocean, then I am the mist
which kisses the morning the way children kissed
their mother at breakfast to start a new day
If you are the ocean, then anchors aweigh
We'll sail through the evening and on to the light
The daystar is dawning, we'll keep to the right
like Peter and Wendy to Neverlands' door
we'll sail on forever and touch every shore
If you are the ocean, come wash me away
to some misty morning and there we will play
on beaches you've loved all your lovely life long
If you are the ocean, then sing me a song
of sailors and treasures and I'll have to say
If you are the ocean, come wash me away...

- The Princess Of The Sea -

On the beach I found a seashell
luster of colors mixed with gold illuminate

Washed by the sea millions of times
tides turn as gentle footprints remain

I sit and ponder, how could it happen
salt breeze within an ocean's breath inhales

A journey of unimaginable time
drifting murmurs echo against waves crashing

In the sunlight it shone with many shades
satin pearl treasure heart between two shells

Carefully I opened and found its soul
it was then as one on whitewashed wings we flew free

I found a beautiful princess of the sea
Upon a sigh or dream revealed its inner secret

Rose and Rose Marie

‘Twas on a morn’ in early spring
When I met Rose Marie
In a garden
Where she sat - upon a bench
Beneath a willow tree

Where - with a glance
My heart was stabbed
With pangs of jealousy
For it was - very plain to see
She was - by far - more beautiful than me

She spoke - with colored words - like rainbows
Spun with threads of gold
As she described the man she loved
With all her heart and soul

She told me - of his beauty
Raven hair and eyes of green
And as she talked - he appeared - before me
As in a - living dream

She told me - how she met him
On the Shore of Evermore
There in the fields - above the cliffs
Amid the mist - an ocean roar

She told me how - with their first kiss
He carried her away
As he poured his love - into her soul
There - so high above - that wind-swept bay
With Heaven - but a breath away

Her words - like magic - in that moment
Cast a spell on me
For I too now - had fallen - so deeply - in love
With Cannon Lee

I longed to feel his breath
His lips upon my velvet skin
I longed to quench - the lustful thoughts
That now burned - so deep within

So - when Rose Marie - stood up to leave
And turned her back on me
I dug my thorns into her wrist
And sealed - my evil deed

My jealousy - now turned to poison
Ran quickly through her veins
And as she tried - to pry me loose
I clawed her - once again

"Tainted blood" - is what they say
Stole his love away
And that is how - I came to be here
On these cliffs today.

So tenderly - he holds me now
And finally kisses me
As his tears - fall on my open petals
And trickle - down my leaves

Then - from his lips - there comes a cry
Of such despair - it cracks the sky
“ My darling - my love - my life
Why did you have to die?”

And here so high - above these cliffs
These cliffs of ‘Evermore’
I hear her name - resounding - above the ocean roar
‘Rose Marie’ - ‘Rose Marie’
As he cast me - with a final kiss
Into the raging sea.

Misted moonlight

Into the twilight of night falling bewildered reflections
blowing within clouds form a grey question turning tides
passing winds whisper voices of one's soul form mirrored images

Whispering currents speak through the oceans wave bellow
faraway destiny cries with the seagulls echo through time
The caves unwrap lustre held between shells singing melodies

Footprints will remain always salted love verses hate struggles
each takes a step forward silently the bells chime midnight
under a chandelier of roses forever dances within misted moonlight

Your Satin Silk Touch

My darling love—you are the true angel of my existence!
Your satin silk touch mirrors your beauty in the moonlight!

Your satin silk touch always sets my true emotions afire,
With your scent of perfume and luscious red lips blushing.

Your warm tears are precious dewdrops kissing softly true,
As heavenly honey crystals shine bright signifying our love.

I look deeply into your eyes and realize our life is so special,
And that the magic of your divine beauty is beyond reproach.

Touching becomes my every precious breath now gasping hard,
For fresh air as I lay my eyes on you and feel your angelic aura.

As the very salt is awash in my ocean of dreams my dearest one,
My heart and soul are always one with you—as my true love rare.

What we share in this wondrous life are Heaven and Earth as one!
Your satin silk touch is the enchanted alchemy of our forever love!

Pearl Dreams of Rare Love

Break these chains that bind
holding in the deep ovens
blazing a fire for love

Smiling midday moon
dressed in a baby blue sky
with sparsely scattered clouds dot.

White mother of pearl
their silver lining treasure
held soft beautiful warm babe.

In her finger beams
a light touching inside thoughts
sitting posed at three o’clock.

The moon just pops out
in kissing a golden sun
white ivory pearls smiling.

Within daylight thoughts
sweetly I pray in sunlight
shining warm all over you

Deep ocean salted
with the bluest warmest waves
luster smiles sunshine color.

The magic tear drop
forms the silver lining bright
and cries for ivory pearls.

Alchemic water
wondrous most blue, dark and rare
lies love in Salt of the Earth.

Mermaids caress hope
encouraging happiness
makes all the more magical.

Pearl chain links in place
Neptune commands do it now
with finest gold most smiling.

Bathed best and brightest
white ivory pearls ready
for their concatenation.

Neptune’s grandeur finds
all sea creatures in awe now
abounds pearl dreams of rare love.

Pearl Dreams of Rare Love
14 linked all so precious
from the ocean’s heart and soul

An Epic Battle With A Simple Question

A beautiful heart pines from afar. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! Celestial winged heart beats faster, Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. Embarking from sun brewed and moonshine skies Two alien races, in war, collide. Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. All brothers' swords raise, marching with pride. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Two alien races, in war, collide. The angered clouds rain blood from the sky. A new path finally found. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Brothers' swords low now to the ground. A beautiful heart pines from afar. A new path finally found. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! In universe Out bound energy Where are we when we die?

Night

If the waves clutched for my feet once more And invited me to drift Would you pull me back from ocean's shore Or let my spirit lift; Would you wade into the waters deep And hold my frozen life Or discontent with ocean's tide Let be with saddening strife. If moonlight was our only cover And her reflection beckoned me- Would you swim a naked body And sing our souls as "Free" If ensconced in nature's grasping hands, Whether waves or Freedom's play Will you follow me, but nature's pet, And embrace the dying day?

Listen

Be not lonely

Nor shed a tear

I hold your hand

I am spirit you

Not of flesh

Your soul

Allow me through

I open my heart to you

Faith is my existence

Have faith, my best friend

So my wisdom can wash over you

I was, and always will be here for you

Open your heart

Allow my ocean of wisdom

To wash over you

For in your heart

Every question is answered

Peace, love and serenity

I am your best friend

Love me

Love yourself

Establish love

For there is our freedom

Life

Be not lonely

Nor shed a tear

I hold your hand

I am spirit you

Not of flesh

Your soul

Allow me through

When your heart is open

My ocean of love and wisdom

Will wash over you

And all your desires

Have faith

Will come true

Silken Laced Moonbeams

Glistening diamonds sparkle
within a thousand star lights
wrapped into one holding the highest space

Oceans of the night you flicker bewitching charms
upon the crest of each wave under the moonlight
your royal gaze mesmerizes

Reflections carried under intoxicating incandescent lights
transfixed adoration crystallized inside your heavenly embrace
where a spell unlocks feelings in a million thoughts

A Starry Shade of Night

Love forever eludes me perhaps because it flies on angelic wings
And yet my earth bound body is beneath the weight of gravity
Its like following a rainbow to an end I'll never see
Or like chasing the horizon as it falls away from me
Will I ever find that pot of gold and embrace a warm sunset
With my heart on sandy shores beneath a sky I won't forget
To become envious of the moon as it illuminates her face
Gently dancing across her skin as it adorns with utter grace
Then inhale the scent of beauty as her lips press next to mine
As I watch the midnight sky reflect inside her radiant eyes
                and in her starry shade
              Of dim and solitary loveliness
I learn’d the language of another world
That I found deeply within one kiss

Loving pearl softly singing through the ink

An artist paints a picture out of darkness
from the seven colours of sunshine's sparkle

Divine beauties bridge over this promise made real
ocean waves unfolding white steeds galloping to shore

Kissed by the sand salted footprints remain begging
as the stream flows down a mountain faced horizon

Echos bounce within deep caves whispering winds lament
currents move tides caressing the sea fragrance

Just A Li'l Drop In A Big Ocean

As DrSharma recently quoted “I'm just a li'l drop in a great big ocean” AREN'T WE ALL! But some rise above the rest and are remembered Some are content to be just one of the crowd It's a matter of what we're comfortable with Some just don't realize the impact they make On those they come in contact with And how much they influence others To lead a better life and become a more loving person There are so many unique people here on the Soup That this most definitely applies to They are the sweetest, most loyal friends That anyone could ask for They make my life complete and a treasure There are no words to describe how their friendship Has made my life happy and content LOVE TO YOU ALL!!! © Jack Ellison 2014

Beach

is it the wave kissing the sand
or is it the ocean
- deep from her heart
sometimes gently,
often hard,
but always with passion?

is it the sand kissing back
or is it the land
- happily losing ground
with every kiss
to his eternal mistress,
the occupant of his soul?

is it this poem touching your heart
or is it our souls
- hugging each other
on a sandy beach,
wide and infinite,
day in and day out?

I think I know why the ocean flows

The view from our cruise ship
Conjures far-flung images of amber hues
A fusion of illusion and reality
Where bending arc of the horizon
Greets the magnificent ocean.

The ocean flows, having done so
Billion years plus so many more
Churning, foaming, bouncing, dancing
From Atlantic to Pacific, Arctic to Antarctic
And every continent in between.

It goes to war flaunting armored ships
Designs exotic scenic beaches
Goes boating, surfing, fishing
Enjoys scuba diving in coral reefs

As our dining room turns heads to peek
At the petite towns of the Mediterranean
Dressed in olive and orange trees
Moonlight's reflecting from the sea
Dancing to twinkling lights from the hills.

This beast and beauty held together by gravity
Harbinger of love, romance, happiness
Fills my gleeful heart with its own echo
I think I know why the ocean flows.

House by the sea

In our house by the sea
the gulls fall silent
the gulf winds have exhausted
their supply of salty scent
we grow languid
our eyes close with fatigue
my head upon her bosom
my sweetest friend
is trembling

In our house by the sea
never remove your arms from my neck
or shy away your lovely face
embrace and kiss me endlessly
let the hours be lazy and sweet
flowing like the warm southern wind
as we gaze upon the purple sash of sunset
entwined like serpents in battle
soothed by the avid tide and eternal surf
