Covenant of Love

he looks at her eyes
butterflies surf dreams within
strolling twilight beach

shooting stars make wish
Prince wakes up serene Snow White
something melts the night

stream of passion flows
non stop chimes of Cupid choir
crystallizing breath

backdrop of embrace
pearl in heart of oyster blooms
covenant of love

Enticing Sweet Dreams You Tiptoe

Enticing sweet dreams you tiptoe
Charming passions memories spun
From days of our youth long ago
When quest of love had just begun

When in your heart I'm all alone
Enticing sweet dreams you tiptoe
Blazing desires we've felt and known
Kindled embers of romance glow

Musings endearing you well know
When our engaging souls impart
Enticing sweet dreams you tiptoe
Holding me captive of your heart

Oh! how our indulgent hearts woo
Flame of ardent past still aglow
Courting love beholden and true
Enticing sweet dreams you tiptoe

Secrets To Keep

A love affair with secrets to keep
 Broken vows and rendezvous
Pillow talk and in too steep
 Love triangles, a dangerous brew

 Chasing passion in secret places
  With deep desires and embraces
Love has many turns and twists
 Hearts astray entwined in trysts

 But love is never guaranteed
 Entanglements and lusty needs
Someone's love can be hard to measure
But fickle hearts can steal love's treasure

Wave Upon Wave

I love to walk barefoot along the shore the imprint of my footprints follows me like a shadow I know they’ll vanish as each wave breaks rushing over the shingle tickling my toes I stop and turn to face the sea hoping to espy a seal suddenly a little wave appears and a black head pops up bobbing up and down in the ocean Alas, this magical moment is marred by squawking seagulls circling overhead as they follow a trawler heading home with catch of the day I wave to the fishermen and continue on my walk ''W'' New Poems Poetry Contest Sponsored by Constance La France 11/24/21

The New Year

The New Year has now started and we belong to new and exciting events.
I love, I laugh, I smile, and I cry with happiness for all the new talents.
The New Year is all we need to have a new start fresh with ideas to share.
And I hope for the better we enjoy the new poems and show everyone we care.
The New Year is a way to be wishy, washy, and to show we are human with feelings.
With that in mind we are ready to open the doors to the world that we believe in.

Yearn

Endeavored romance, bolstered and cried
Then came the night, my music died
One last attempt, a foiled finished taste
A devoted passion, soon laid to waste

Recovered contentment, felled for the count
Heartache and pain, a stable failed surmount
End of life with its completion of care
A quickened loss for incessant despair

The dark night recalled; cessation dispense
Atonement is sought, assume recompense
My last night on Earth, withdrawn in vain
My death for your love, this life for your pain

The Heart's Yield

She did not yield to his advances
Playing hard to get, taking chances
He sent her a bouquet of red roses
As his quest for love he poses

Love becomes a game of pursuit
In an attempt to capture her heart
Like a tango in steps so cute
As she dances to the beat he imparts

Soon he will close in on his desire
She's the lovely flower in the field
Then they will spark love's fire
And to love's pursuit she will yield

Love

Love is a rolling stone
That capers on
Raked leaves of the past

Then it plunges
Into the river
That carries it to the ocean.

In Love

to live a life of mystery,
in love, both of us, searching.
breathtaking, lovemaking,
a mystery solved.
to live a life as lovers,
true lovers, seeking,
finding rapturous pain!
another mystery solved.
procreation, now making babies.
true love's precious rewards.
husband and wife, finally,
life's pleasures, a family!
all life's mysteries resolved!

Walking Away

Walking away

Day you betrayed my love
my heart profusely bled,
As passion simmered
the soul rested in peace,
Came no thoughts of walking away.

Dusk - a Rhyming Wave Poem

Dusk is asking, "please sun move on",
please sun, move sun, move sun, move on!
The stars saying, "Time you were gone",
the stars, and moon await.

The stars sparkle, moon shines bright, great,
moon shines bright, shines bright, shines bright, great!
Lovers paradise, true loves fate.
Lovers finding passion.

Truly engrossed in loves fashion,
in loves, in loves, in loves fashion.
For each full of wonder, passion.
Each dusk, a new love, sworn.

Dusk is asking, "please sun move on".
For each dusk, new love sworn!

In Our Last Rendezvous

In our last rendezvous
We sat in a precarious way
On the ledge.
But our ecstasy was unique
Collected, composed, nonchalant;
A perfect blend of finesse
In our mutual heart,
Both acquiesce to the objective,
a promise for both,
Wherever we are
Whatever we are
Whenever we are
Unqualified, unconditional
And not to play around
Gallivanting.

Rainbow Arc Across the Azure Sky

"Lost in a dream with idyllic abstract musing." Quote _by Poet
Absorbing a double scoop of azure, Bottom of the golden-brown waffle Cone, green, yellow, orange, red, Dripping down melting, into the horizon. Evening's laughter shatters the azure sky; Frowning disapproval, the sun Gently wipes away it's tears for Harmonious promise of future Idyllic, enormity, day of earth. Jabbering shadow falling across Knobby, frayed, wings and contagious Love: power to renew universe heart. 12/7/2021 Theme-Chosen Azure ABC Form ''A'' Forms, New Poems Poetry Contest

Time

Formless and strange
what is this concept
this thing we call time
why do we change
this girl once knew sorrow
her paper and a pen
now she has grown
knows love and joy
but she's lost the words
no longer writes her thoughts
how did this happen
did joy steal those thoughts
no new poems does she give life
time has gone on
her mind too has changed

Old Poems

Old Poems The old poems; I once wrote, I tried to keep them safe. I wrote of things, that I had lived and I wrote of things that I had done. I also wrote of things from life. Old poems bring us memories. Old poems bring us tears, other times they bring us joy. Old poems - came from the heart, to express love, grief or hurt. Old poems, I like to read. They touch my heart "oh " so deep. I can picture what someone wrote a very, very long time ago. Today I will write some new poems, but they will be old tomorrow. To you reader I want to say - thank you for reading my old poems today...

A New Day

The house is quiet now,
and I am all alone. Tired.
the dead are buried in their tombs of slumber
six feet under.
the babies are born into crowded hospital rooms,
with smiling faces all around dressed all in white.
the new bottle of wine is opened,
the new cigarette lit with a new match.
the house is cleaned,
and she is with a new man
not remembering who made her smile last.
All though it is a new day for me,
I still think of old memories
that make me sigh,
and make me cry,
and laugh
and smile only for a moment
then the moment is gone;
And I sit all day
writing new poems
for all of you to enjoy and look at yourself
in a brand new way.

Memories of Yesterday

Lovers drift away with my yesterday
Yet, leave their shadows behind to remind
In the midst of my mind's eye, they will stay
To drift back again, when I rest to find
They share a memory's time which lingers
And a faded face of silent sadness
A wish that had fallen through my fingers
Those days of love's emotional madness
When each day and night was meant for lovers
Who sought paradise where the world belies
When kisses begot love one discovers
And soft warm tongues exchanged mints between sighs
The timelessness of days forever gone
Are only memories to look upon

Obsession

Obsession in the sky above, such infinite beauty I truly love
Beyond the earth I see Mother Moon and stars and planets too
Saturn and Jupiter through my scope sends shivers to my spine
Even Saturn’s rings I see clearly and Jupiter’s many moons
Shiniest planet, favourite by far, is sparkling, glistening Venus
She really is the jewel in the crown, this diamond way up high
ISS is another treat and I always wave as she passes me by
Oh lucky me having balconies high, so much closer to the sky
Now seeing an exquisite sunset, brings tears of joy into my eyes

Whimsical Gal

Playful
Mischievous
Fanciful
Quaint
A lover of routine
Is something she ain’t
Loves spur of the moment
Goes where her heart takes
Is whimsically charming
With a smile so disarming
This whimsical gal
Such a joy to be with
Spontaneously fanciful
To know her is magical
She brightens my life
I love her so much
Can’t you tell…

Some Secrets

Some secrets spin a veil of lies, creating a web of deceit. And yet, some secrets survive to guard the essence of who you are. Though stored behind a shield of trust, some secrets spin a veil of lies. But, tucked in between hope and love, no trespassing signs get posted. If you do not share everything, you are only being human. Some secrets spin a veil of lies, and some weave privacy curtains. There are thoughts you alone should know, private things not meant to be shared. And though some secrets are innate, some secrets spin a veil of lies.
