She Walks In Silence

She walks in silence, like a lapping wave
drowned in chastity and flooded with rave
holding dear and tight her very beauties
denying all her gems and rubies.
Her powers disabled under the spell
the flame in wouldn’t break out of its shell.

Tempted to trace a humming call of fate
allured but reluctant to take the bait.
The strings of her heart lost their pitch and tone
the clutches of mind hurting to the bone.
Untraceable are the paths to no end
unable to soul unself and ascend.

She walks in silence, like a gliding breeze
fervent rising prayers brought her to her knees
seeking the blessings of grace, peace and love
if only her pain she could rise above.
Nameless beauty would dissolve in her womb
Her wounds.sins she would carry to her tomb.

Inspired by “She Walks In Beauty” Lord Byron (George Gordon)

Try

Try to live
Try to feel pain with no tears
Try to remember years past and often lost
Try, oh try to know life need not be cold as frost

Ear not the words of those proclaiming silence
Listen to the rhythmic melody; give voice to a new start
The world will follow when you sing from your heart
Believing in things that some may only try

Try, to see, the truth is musical to you and all of thee
Telling histories with music, as soothing as can be
When you sing, and when you inspire our romance
Ones on crutches, they too shall rise and dance

Try, I beg
To see as eye
Even the ear is lost in the sky
Purest of hearts, they never die

Pardon From The Storm

Take my heart and carry me to where all dreams are born. Into loves arms, oh such a place that's always safe and warm. Away from such deceitful lairs where blackened virtues swarm. into a light where peace must shine and grants us pardon from a storm. High above the mountain tops or low as low can be. Makes no difference where we are a wondrous lyric calls to me. Singing of your splendor like a miracle performed. I'll stay with you to find the port that grants us pardon from a storm. Ode to Mum

Brown paper memories she puts in my hands
Twine roughly tied in a bow slightly askew
Part and parcel of a humble life once led?
My defiant eyes meet hers of black velvet dew

Give me back my Mother I care not for memories Don’t pressure me into accepting that she has gone
Paper gets ripped - just a supermarket album More nostalgic memories which I toss to the side With sadness not disguised my sisters eyes meet mine Grossly callous I have been - her tears she doesn't hide
These are more than just old photos Are they not? I take the album - turn the first page
Monochrome pledges they made to each other Loving adorations on their wedding day Her calligraphic script embellish each page I read this in the ink of her thoughts that say
'So dreary was my life till we met - My Love You asked for my hand so to make you complete Placing a twinkling star in each of my palms With a gentle bow you laid the moon at my feet’ ‘You are the tea leaves I am the tea pot I the tiny snowflake and you the snow’ You are my Sunshine and I am your Moon I am the dew on the roses you grow’
‘A true friend is a person who knows you Yet likes you anyway - complete with faults’
My Mother a poet? I am amazed! Inspirational thoughts in true poetic form Wondrously I leaf through - turning page after page Different quotes for my father and her children Sapient wisdom over years as we aged
‘Wisdom without action is as useless as hot ice’
Though the poetic words soften her trials a shade There it all is - her tribulations - thoughts and fears Recollections of ‘Her’ in memories and rhyme Red grows my eyes trying to suppress these tears
Do not be afraid to take your chances Sweetest fruits hang from the farthest branches
She scripted herself on every page she had written A beautiful rose preserved for now and ever more Our Angel of love embraced tight in her persona Our lovely Mother - My Model - I loved and adored
‘Your Religion is Life To preach is to practice’
‘Be grateful for the Angels put in our midst Even if it is but for a little while ‘Cause they are borrowed and strictly on loan’ Mum PS I love you xxx

My Winter

You entered my room
a long time ago
across many summers,
now when this winter looks
at the trees shedding the leaves
you are by the closed window
leaning on the cold wall
and I am by the fireplace,
your eyes on the cracking wood on fire
mine on the frosted window pane

Have you ever wondered
why my voice doesn’t reach you,
the words crash on the wall
and fall silent, that’s why.

Have you ever wondered
why my warmth doesn’t touch you,
the feelings brush the window pane
and freeze inert, that’s why.

Have you ever wondered
why my eyes don’t look into yours,
the vision is stuck on barren trees outside
and waits for the spring, that’s why.

Have you ever wondered
why my hands can’t hold yours,
the reach is lost in distant time
and breaks separated, that’s why.

I have wondered
if I could break the cold wall
shatter the iced window pane
make the trees green again
would my voice rise from the dust
the warmth of my mind melt the ice
my eyes bring colors of spring in yours,
would the time stop
stop to create distance
and I could hold your hands again.

A New Love Found

DEDICATED TO EVERY PERSON WHO QUESTIONED THEIR SELF WORTH BECAUSE SOMEONE THEY LOVED LEFT THEM Love grabbed me by the throat with both hands Choked away the doubt and hatred of broken bands Kicked me in the gut and flung me to the floor Stripped my ego and jolted my awareness at its core Cleared the cobwebs that once clouded my vision with strokes of a master nature painted my mission An oil based one of a kind classic My life written like a movie an epic Love lives in me again like a revelation amen Beauty, glows from every centimeter that is me hope hip hops in every stride as I walk briskly Music walks to my beat now I hear it everywhere and the bluest of skies high fives me bare A new love found a trust abound. for the first time in since I don’t know when my senses breathe the fresh view of now and then Blessed by the mother of all that lives Nature smiles on a union that always gives I love what I see Finally I love me! je t'aime 'neath a Banyan Tree - Erotic Verse

The story behind this poem
The curiosity of many of my readers (many of them women) was excited in my previous poem ‘Passion in Black and White’ POTD 6 MarchThey wanted to know more about the ‘Magical Tree’ and Café’ in the poem

This is the beginning of the story the grandiose Banyan tree, a tree species I have always been drawn to since a childIt is magical and real, depicted in the photographs of me sitting under the tree

The tree is over a hundred years old and it majestically rises in the middle of the International Market Place Plaza in the heart of Honolulu, HawaiiThe café, in close proximity also exists and is known as ‘Kona Coffee Purveyors French patisserie’ serving the best coffee and French pastries.

I trust you will enjoy the poem, the music and ‘Passion in Black and White’ posted previously, where you can follow me on a romantic, magical encounter…

Branches delve deep - concealing secrets - so hush Linger - abandon cares of a trivial life - no rush Sacred spirit residing in resplendence executes To tawny earth branches and to Heaven its roots: Whispering …’je t'aime’… A mere shadow of reality - no substance ‘tis true A life of materialism is - but a darkness whirled brew Rain puddles mirror its own spiritual visage In the still water the tree in its reversed image Whispers … ‘je t'aime’… Lost for words - in dreams - answers we seek Hearts submerged in doubt do still entreat A God inhabits - seek Him out through the maze Veneration to the ‘One’ to whom we praise Dismiss all uncertainty to the questions we raise Whispering …’je t'aime’… Ephemeral scepticism gone - here swathe in sanctuary Blossoming love in captivating honey dew ecstasy Untouched by this mad world - lovers dare connect intentional thought to boldly declare ‘je t'aime’… “Excusez-moi mademoiselle is this seat taken”? In lisping French pronunciation – you inquire The look in your hazel eyes of carnal desire combusts sparks into a blaze of heavenly fire Whispering …’ je t'aime’…
Foot note - About the Mystical Banyan Tree The massive banyan tree is the national tree of India, also called Indian or Bengal figConsidered sacred in India and can be seen near a temple or religious centre giving shade to travellers in very hot summer monthsIn fact Buddha was said to have received his enlightment under a tree like this. In the Bhagavat Gita, Krishna said, "There is a banyan tree which has its roots upward and its branches down, and the Vedic hymns are its leaves." (Bg 15.1) Here the material world is described as a tree whose roots are upwards and branches are below An observer will notice that the Tree reflection in water is upside downThe branches going downward and the roots upwardIn similarly, it is the material world that’s a reflection of the spiritual worldThe material world is but a shadow of realityIn the shadow there is no reality or substantiality, but from the shadow we can understand that there is substance.

Love is in the Air

POTW 22rd April 2018

To right the wrongs of love no flawless gauge exists Though visions unfulfilled can leave one bereft With tears of remorse for the ones who didn’t show Or lamenting the ones who came and left
Sparkly wings donned we cruise the starry skies Crooning songs of love to the silvery moon Mourning its presence being ~ Too late? ~ Too soon? Grieving for the ‘dish’ who ran away with the ‘spoon’ Rewrite your song ~ Compose a new melody Peek through those shades of pearlescent pink Discard the restraints of unrequited love Bask in loves splendor ~ lest it goes in a blink
Feel a whisper of the breeze ~ on those thundering seas The quest starts right here on this night crystal clear That rusty anchor raise ~ you’ve lingered too long It’s your ship to control ~ Reclaim the power to steer
I trust you like the music video clip by Australian singer John Paul YoungStill loving the sound of the Disco 80’s POTW 22rd April 2018

Soldier

I saw a burial with a bugler playing taps;
I turned to my father, “what happened?” I asked.
He clutched my hand and with a quiver in his voice,
he began to explain and his eyes became moist.

“My son,” he said, “this is rather difficult for me;
for an old veteran like myself this is tough to see.
In that coffin lies a genuine patriotic warrior,
an honest-to-God hero, an American soldier.

I appreciate that soldier and the service he gave,
and I honor his sacrifice as he’s laid in his grave.
He was honorable, selfless, courageous, and bold;
please remember him son, as you grow old.

The value of his service, I must explain,
if not remembered, will be lost in vain.
As a nation we’re nothing without soldiers like him;
and failing to remember would be a terrible sin.”

I listened in awe as my father spoke,
it seemed as if his heart were broke.
I suddenly remembered when he went to war,
and when he returned I thought nothing more.

I never asked why he walked with a limp,
and I didn’t care about why he was sick.
I was too busy enjoying the life that I had,
to realize that I had it because of dad.

I finally understood what my dad was about,
and it hurt so bad I cried out loud.
He sacrificed so much so I could be free,
and his battle scars were suffered for me.

It was my father’s spirit that spoke to me that day;
thank God I finally understood what he had to say.
I saluted his coffin as they laid him to rest,
and I thought about the medals pinned on his chest.

That I didn’t honor him sooner, I will always regret;
and I pledged that day to never again forget.
I’m proud that my dad was a patriotic warrior;
I’m honored to be the son of an American soldier

Each Day Takes its Turn

Standing firm
we live
we give
we take
we learn
we strive to make sure
each day enlightens us
and brightens us
even as light fades to gray
may we keep fighting
with two swollen feet
beneath the body and soul
experiencing trials
and intense life lessons
meshed with stresses
may we persevere
turn off fear's song
may we stand firm
as we glide along
through shifty winds of change
that may cause things to sway
rearrange
but we hold true
inside the values and morality
we stand for
we
fall for nothing
we
may stumble along the trip
we
may swerve at the wheel yet
we
do not lose our grip
because no one
can eclipse the sun
yet
everyone heals
before they're done

Just when situations arise
flooding us with pain we despise
and just when it seems like
our tear ducts are dry
from ongoing cries
we may think
things are on the brink of ending
then God shows us the ways of faith
by way of love that he's sending

Standing firm
we live
we give
we take
we learn
we make sure
every day enlightens us
and brightens us
as each day takes its turn

Lonely Dreams

I never knew following dreams could be this lonely,
But up on the hill, looking back, thank God I'm not the old me.
If the tears will fall, let them be;
I believe this is God's plan, follow your dreams.

No Greater Love

For God so loved this sinful world, He gave us all His son; That we might live with Him one day, when life on Earth is done. No greater love was ever known, no greater gift bestowed, And for the love He sacrificed, no greater debt’s been owed. The time was short for Jesus Christ, but what He gave mankind To lift our hearts and save our souls has yet to be refined. The grace and style in which He moved through politics and fools, Has paved the way for paths we trod through worldly ways and rules. His teachings spread throughout the land, His miracles renowned, He only had to touch a life to show His love was sound. Two thousand years have come and gone since Christ communed with man; And with his dying saved us all, to serve God's ancient plan. He rose from death, as He had said, and proved His word was true, That life eternal waited those who choose to suffer through. Salvation came that fateful day, the Bible tells us so; And time has shown that through God’s love the weakest spirits grow. Now, modern times are hard on us and cause us all to doubt, For change is there at every turn, and Satan’s always out. It’s now we need the love of God, for always, as before; Just lift your heart and ask for it, and see what lays in store. It’s through God’s love we handle change and how it makes us strong In ways we deal with worldly things and sort the right from wrong. For change is just another way the Lord sees fit to use To make our days seem fresh and new with paths to take and choose. It’s by our faith we live our lives and seek a brighter day, And how we find the confidence when doubts get in the way. But most of all it’s happiness that faith’s been known to give When our misfortunes come to cloud these modern times we live. We need not fear what God has wroughtWe need not know His plan. We only need to know He’s there, and love’s in store for man. Just think the words you’d ask in prayer, and ere a sound be heard, His perfect love will fill your heart before you’ve breathed a word. No greater love was ever known, no greater gift bestowed, And for the love He sacrificed, no greater debt’s been owed. But God forgave our debt to Him, we live in grace today; The greatest love you’ve ever known is just a breath away.

"Life's Absolute Epigrams" (for 2010)

Christian Love frame

The only need for death to every exist
Was to slay the fictional self
And all the embellishments used to support it

Fear not, Love’s little flock
You will not be set to fly
And then be allowed to fall

To be strong in your Love
Is to inherit the power of God
That now lies dormant in your essence

For your possession of absolute truth
Is a point at which your Love and your reality
Both become one in God

Slaying your fictional self, being honorable
Is your first step toward your recovery
Of your conscious immortality

For what is sin but the force and mischief
Used to instill and empower
Your mentally invented lower realities

Withholding forgiveness
Is the ego’s assault against life
Love does not judge

For what is the mercy of Love
But that it repeats it’s lessons of life
Until they are learn by the mind

For Love already knows,
What life is yet to learn
Therefore learn from who you are
And teach your outer self
Love’s absolute truth

Love is your true reality, a constant source
Has no beginning or no end
The unlimited potential, quite essential

My prayer for 2010 is that;
These proceeding sayings
Become obsolete this year
In the face of your Love itself, Smile!

Stay in your Bibles, my little bibles
For Love is your title
Not your mind of idol!!

Warts and all

Warts and all

She made a mistake
when she kissed a toad
No castle or carriage
She chose a rough road
He had a few warts
he wasn't debonair or cool
Others scoffed and they laughed
But our toad wasn't a fool

For love was a potion
He knew she believed
He tried so very hard
With his heart he achieved
For she was so lovely
So caring and serene
concerned only with his heart
Not the places he'd been

It wasn't very easy
it was in fact it was tough
to be in love with a princess
and have less than enough
But she never complained
Not a whimper or cry
She said he was amazing
He was her special guy

So he worked night and day
from the inside he grew
he became all he could be
the Prince that she knew
Yes they found their happy
Him kind and never a jerk
Love indeed conquers all
with a smidgen of hard work

Together they built castles
chariots and other things
Traveled on positive thoughts
and the gifts that love brings
So if you see a toad smiling
know that that toad is just me
a kiss from my princess
thankfully set me free

"Sacred Season"

A dream

To hear the whippoorwills' sad urgent call
I was very glad when I was a lad
But now twilight nearing new season's fall
My Essence of truth my consciousness calls

My tears being not of my former years
For sake of humans I now turn my cares
As compassion of true identity
From sacred place calls from infinity

Within unlimited aspects' of me
A great white throne in the distance I see
Around sacred bend a familiar friend
Silhouette of me as my God I see

No more desirous of earth's vain glory
The mind's wilderness of exploratory
History recedes illusions of me
My ego thoughts I just had to be

Totality of Love I see as me
Enter into God's synchronicity
I now see my God as I now see me
As sacredness of the reality

As Sacredness calls a new season's fall
Recesses the former whippoorwills' call
As new life calls I now realize it all
New life is in the Sacred Season's Fall

Mystified as I liquefied I cry
As in spirit of love quite high I fly
Above consequences life's densities
As spiritual tears replace human fears

My Love

My Beloved,
My fervent Solemn passion
My LOVE bound to you
My Darling, I am entirely thine
As kindling in pure Formidable flame
My Beloved, My precious love
My better self,
If the moment of Immortality
Unveil to exist between us
I shalt whisper your Beloved name
As phantom of delight
Riveting as melodious
As mating birds

My Beloved,
My fervent Solemn passion,
Your elegance and beauty
As begotten rapturous vibrant
ebullient portrait of LOVE
As blissful birth of precious
glittering mother of pearl
Invigorating to purify
my tumultuous untamed heart
My Immortal Angel,
My Dearest LOVE
My Joyful Darling
My eyes, worships Your Eyes
In pure adoration
My eyes can NO longer
hide my addiction

My Immortal Beloved
The LOVE of sublimity,
Should I not let my eyes
become lit, before YOUR eyes
As my heart’s pupil of febrile eyes
Dives in your endless ocean
of LOVE to be drowned in ecstasy

My Beloved,
My fervent Solemn passion
My hunger has become a fain of fasting
My Darling,
Your Lips, a provocative budding beauty
which Loves to flaunts itself
shalt be my eternal
Adoring site of pilgrimage,
As my tender lips, as nourishing
As endless waves of ocean
can not resist rushing to wet
to rescue YOUR thirst of ecstasy

My Beloved,
My fervent Solemn passion,
Faithfullest heart,
My Love bound to you, As we stem
As rose garden of Elysium
As sweet scent of LOVE
Emanating from the blossoms
As our tender hands entangled
with Majestic Red Robe Of LOVE
As Our eyes wed
For moment of eternal serenity
to cast our Hearts net in endless
ocean of sublime ecstasy
to capture our own image of ONENESS

My Immortal Beloved
Sanctuary of Love, My Darling,
I am entirely Thine,
I clasp the hand of Love
As I clasp my body
As fortitude of Love
Against YOUR body,
The Citadel of Heaven,
As my lips penetrates the silence
to whisper tenderly in Thy Beloved ears;
I LOVE THEE,
As My hearts infinite tender majesty
Shalt illuminate the Devine promise of bliss
As it echoes in eternity,
As my heart decorate the tent of LOVE

My Beloved, My fervent
My Solemn passion,
My Darling, My precious one,
My soul exclaimed in delight jubilation
My Beloved LOVE
As I am fain to see THEE
in the Bethel of LOVE,
For Eternity
Forever Thine
Forever Ours

our colour of yellow

The lake was still sleeping
a light mist rose above,
a weathered dock could be seen,
its aged wood; full of memories.

The air crisp, breeze light,
trees majestic; watching all.
Squirrels busy scampering,
as a flock of geese soared above.

Way over yonder
clear across the still lake,
shining brightly were yellow shutters,
on our cabin; our special place.

We had toiled the garden
planted yellow roses with great care,
we had painted the old wood shutters,
yellow paint; speckled our hair.

The roof we re-shingled,
one painstaking nail at a time,
we even counted the ouches;
when our hammers got out of line.

With nothing but smiles
on our weary, aching bodies,
we held hands, and went running,
into the still of the lake; giggling.

We swam out to the dock,
it was a race; he won,
my hand he took laughing;
as he quickly scooped me up.

Our toes dangled playfully
sending ripples in the lake,
as we gazed at our cabin;
yellow shutters; fresh with paint.

The trees swayed slightly
as if nodding with approval,
for our cabin by the lake,
was our private sacred jewel.

As we cuddled together
warmth filled our souls,
for our bright yellow shutters,
symbolized, our love's blossoming growth.

It was on this very dock,
air crisp, breeze light,
when he gave me a yellow rose;
and asked me to be his wife.

More

Sometimes life brings us showers, But showers bring us flowers And flowers bring me joy. Singing and dancing in the rain bring me joy. But you bring me more. More than Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart, More than the red robin and the swing in the park, More than skating on the frozen lake floor, You bring me more More than paintings by Van Gogh, More than seeing the sparkling white snow, More than gazing at the moon out my door, Yes, you bring me more. More laughter and smiles Across a thousand miles. More magical feelings and fun, And in my heart lives the warmth of the sun Because you bring me more.

If I Cry

If I cry
It must be the memory
Of a skirt unlifted by a gust
To still a boy's misery
And wipe my eyes dry
Of tears
For the way time sears
Us like flowers
And reaped my mother
Before I was ready to let her go.

If I cry
I cry for days she sheltered me
From a child's web of fallacy
And put her spittle on my knee
Where bruised flesh
Was a boy's view of tragedy.
I would press my face
Against her dress
And feared no goliath
Or loneliness.

If I cry
I cry for evenings on the porch
When she gathered us
Our feet white with blowing dust
And hunger like a miner
Drilling us
We had so little to eat some days
But she with prayers picked fruits
Of heaven's mercy
And we thankful ate together
And heard her ancient anecdotes
Of ancestors' exploits that floats
Still upon a manhood sky.

If I cry
I cry that mothers' days are meaningless
When the sight of flowers
Are frail veils upon a grave
And the customized Christmas cards
Will not sparkle her eyes
Just before the kiss upon my cheek
Honoring me for faithfulness
And knowing her love measures more
More than a day
More than the years that sums earth's decay.

If I cry
I cry for the love of my mother
For the woman and life giver
For God to bring
Order to this unruly thing
That spoons our purpose to a cup
Swallow us
Before the dusk with each sup
Of time, diminishing us
I cry for faith to hold my trust
Against the agony of loss
Death is a demonic disgust
That makes me long
To substitute all tears for angels song.

If I cry
Preserved my hope with brine of eye
To live again
Without death or pain
And run with my mother
Through the clapping ovation of summer rain.

Life Lessons From 'The Notebook'

Try not to be too shy to tell someone how you really feel,
be adventurous and always try new things even if it’s scary-
Take advantage of the beautiful moments, they can heal,
you may never know how someone can be so caring
Take chances on love, be courageous and daring

Compromise is important but don’t change who you are,
for small romantic gestures can go a very long way-
Don’t be afraid to enjoy special moments under the stars,
sometimes a touch means more than words can say
Awake every morning as if it was a fresh new day

Life is just a series of moments strung together,
there may be arguments, but forgiveness can bring grace-
Sometimes in the beginning you just know love’s forever,
you can tell just by the look upon your beloved’s face
Make sure your sense of humor you never erase.

Your heart may not always care about being logical,
for the heart wants what it wants even if it’s unlikely-
Living a long life with someone can be quite magical,
there’s nothing like starting a loving family.
Allie and Noah Jrdied together in heavenly harmony.

Our Hand Hold

When your hand holds my hand
	we stand a complete one
as only two hearts true can do.
Let the strongest of winds come –
Our hand hold will never end.
Even when our bodies are past mend,
our hand hold will never end.

Let thundering rains saturate us
with all mercurial skies can pour
		as our entwined fingers embrace.
United our pieces shall endure –
Our hand hold will never end.
Even when our flesh does ground blend,
our hand hold will never end.

No matter the fickleness of our weather
soulmate love is its own conclusion
		as fate’s tapestry stitched together.
Despite the bruising dealt by intrusion –
Our hand hold will never end.
Even when comes our final ascend,
our hand hold will never end.

The Nectars of Love

The Nectars of Love Let your love fall, that I may wallow Let your tears drip of inner essence Entranced by the nectar I swallow As I engulf and taste your presence *** Let your beating heart keep company The emptiness that entraps my being I’m a string vibrating in your symphony Forever echoing festal forever freeing *** Intoxicated by your juices made wine For the gods pour down their nectar Indulging in grapes of the orchid vine Seducing our souls a haunting specter *** The nectars of your love are ingested And the fluids of my heart arrested. Wise Men Still Seek Him Today

W-hen the fullness of time had come, Jesus was born behind an Inn in a cave-like stable.
I-n the Inn there was no room for the Son of God, no room for the Saviour of men.
S-tar was shining so bright above the stable for the shepherds to find their way to Him.
E-ven angels proclaimed His birth to those shepherds "Unto you is born this day."

M-anger is where Mary and Joseph first laid him It was filled with hay.
E-very animal there must have known that their Creator had come that day
N-o one knew the depth of love God had, to give His Son to dwell among men.

S-ame star guided three kings from the Orient, who studied the stars and heavens.
T-hese wise men from the East came saying "Where is He that is born King"
I-n their hands they brought him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrr.
L-ike these three wise men, wise men still seek him today!
L-ove is the reason that God sent His only Begotton Son into the world to save us.

S-eeking for you and me, yes God was seeking for us because we had left Him.
E-veryone, yes, all we like sheep have gone astrayEveryone to his own way.
E-ach one has to make his on decision to follow Him or not to follow Him.
K-ing, born to be a KingKing of the agesKing of the pastKing of the future.

H-eaven, He came from Heaven to earth to show us the right way.
I-niquity, the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
M-elody, He gives us a sweet melody, we sing many songs of praise to Him.

T-ree, A Christmas tree, the love that Jesus had for us, to die on a tree.
O-nly one life and how soon it passesOnly in life can we accept His Love.
D-eliverance, He came from Heaven to preach deliverance to the captives.
A-cknowlege Him and accept HimBehold now is the accepted time.
Y-ou, Yes, this Christmas Love was for You Will You accept this love?

Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed l am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only lie
in word alone but in action as well.

For that reason in every season
I shall show steadfast commitment
to the implementation of this pledge
with a great deal of astuteness.
I therefore commit myself to be your
devoted and delivering husband for
all the years l shall live with you
on this earth.

I shall treat you with the love and care
you deserve as my wife.
Indeed l shall treat you with
the distinction and dignity
that is befitting of the queen of my heart.
That body, that bone, that breath
shall be my mine to treasure,
for sure;
a dearness to promote and protect
for dear life…and love!
I shall stand by and with you in all the
situations of our life.
If the situation demands that we sail,
sail we shall together.
If the situation demands that we
climb,
climb we shall together.

I know very well what l am getting into:
I am getting into a marriage that is
overflowing with blessings.
This marriage- with our mutual
commitment-
will stand the test of time.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
brims over with a transforming power
of love.

This marriage-with our
mutual commitment –
will transform naivety into maturity
troubles into challenges
pretence into practice
pride into progress
bachelorship into companionship.
I pledge to be your steward and partner
for all times.

I shall value the consultations
and decisions that we make as
husband and wife.
As head of the family I shall do nothing

to derail our love train for anything else
least of all for personal and selfish reasons.
Now and forever

I am your lawful and loving husband…
This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed I am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only
lie in pronouncements but in practice
as well.

For this reason every season
I shall demonstrate untiring love
and loyalty to you;
a love and a loyalty that is a living
embodiment of our marriage vows.
I therefore commit myself to be your
honouring, supportive and loving wife
for all the years l shall live with you.
I shall treat you with the love and care
that you deserve as my husband.
Indeed I shall treat you with
the dignity and nobility that is befitting
of the king of my heart.
On my mind it is always fresh
that I am the flesh of your flesh.
Green or grown

I am the bone of your bone.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood.
I shall endevour to put my family first
with all the rights, obligations
and privileges that come with wifehood.
I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off
loneliness and lostness from our relationship,
seeking nothing but your companionship;
banking on your stewardship,
sinking together any hardship.
Since you are mine
I shall not do anything else to undermine
our relationship for personal
or egotistical
reasons.
Now and forever
I am your lawful and loving wife…

God Gave You a Second Chance

God Gave You a Second Chance
Not ready to leave this world with unfinished business determining the souls color; you’re on borrowed time! Prayers to heaven and words spoken from the heart brought perspective to what time remainedFear and regret knowing this may be the end brought us closer than beforeAlways by your side loving, giving freely would now perhaps help spare your life adding color to your heart and soul.
The soul colored with Hope, Faith, and Love, the greatest being Love! I wonder have you given God what was expected for a second chance at life to color your heart and soulColor determines the hearts purity and the soul’s condition
Souls are empty without love in the purest form; if you do not receive and give without fear, shame, or doubt! From the outside looking in many colors of love surround your soulI pray the love I give you understand the colors surrounding my heart and soul.
Love was holding you when death looked you in the face and love put death on hold! God and I give you LoveHow do you face life and death now, with a heart and soul of vivid colors nourished by our love? God blessed us and we know what matters mostYou now live your bucket list, God’s too.
Your list will end, mine tooSharing with a loved one brings special meaning, understanding, and allows comfort taking away fear, pain, and panicWith unconditional love all’s sharedColors of the soul glow, angels gather, and God gently lifts one unto himselfThe guardian angels exit; slowly colors fade, a feeling passes the one left behind as the end has comeI imagine the colors of love in the heart and soul.
                                                                                                                                                             Debbie Knapp

Tea Leaves On The Bosphorus

Tea Leaves On The Bosphorus

Seated at a table by the stirring water,
My eyes absorb the shore of Asia.
Minerets and aged worn stone
Stand haphazardly along the banks.
Istanbul is a lady with secrets
She'll lure you with her unrevealed virgin beauty,
Then seduce you with her ancient lovers.

Grilled sardines filled my charger
Fish pulled from the strait just minutes before,
Lay garnished with parsley and mint
Red pickled turnips and warm flat bread
Are the implements that help feed me
And scoop up the humus,
Turkish nourishment for my soul.

The empty plates are cleared by a handsome waiter
With dubious intentions I feared,
But I was flattered none the less.
A bowl of yogurt was placed before me,
And my admirer arrived with a comb of honey.
He held it high above the creamy cloud and let the heavy ochre
languidly pour atop the milky whiteness of delight.
After his seduction,he left me alone to my pleasure
As I lapped at the sweet and sour heavenly temptation,
that parted my lips and elevated my being.

As I recovered from my rapture, two eyes caught mine.
The heathen that destroyed my diet approached the table uninvited.
He pulled up a chair and sat down across from me.
In his hands, a cup.
He offered to tell me my future.
White, small, as fragile as an eggshell with the top lopped off.
Within was a dark tea with floating leaves.
In a chivalrous attempt at English conversation,
He handed me the libation and the offer to read the remains.

I, alone in a man's world, unmarried, and of a certain age,
Did not need encouragement and I accepted his offer.
I drained the tea in one gulp and returned it to his hands.
He placed the cup in one palm , then turned it upside down,
Allowing the remaining fluid to drip out around the cup and onto the table.
Once the cup was upright again he studied the leaves, then he spoke.

His voice was soft, at times , unintelligible
His reading was honest, and truthful, and painful.
His prophecy, amusing, and entertaining
His vision and it's accuracy were astounding.

Fifteen years later, the leaves delivered on their promise.
Long fluid lines inside the cup foretold of a marriage,
To a man who would cross a sea to find me.
Two shorter drippings were the children that now delight me.
The tea ring that he was able to complete around the cup ,
Was the warmth of a love that would soon envelop me.

Tea, anyone?
