Take Me Somewhere Exotic

The pungence of heartbreak swelters
in the tangled dreadlocks of love-lies-bleeding
Take me somewhere exotic
to breathe not the foul aroma
of disappointment and despair
Show me fields laced with frangipani and orchids
in colors sweet and light as daydreams
Find me seafoam fields poppied
with pomegranate and honey
opium of jasmine lilting on a leeward drowse
delicious sift of sand drifting
warm and soft between my toes
as coral breezes court flamingo scapes
with pina colada suns
and I drift in and out of hibiscus euphoria
Let a mist of cockatoos flutter
in lapis skies puffed with fat feather clouds
parrots and toucans preening
like a rainbow shimmer
Tingle my pineapple senses
through the afterglow of mango afternoons
Create visions of paradise
in the cerulean of hyacinth
and never bring me back

Enchant me
Serenade me
Touch me

Raise my temperature
Heighten my senses
Make me tingle all over

Apply your hands to my trembling body
Caress the heaving contours
Of my pliant body

Feel the rhythm of my passions
Boiling within
Explore all of what I have to give

Arouse me
Titillate me
Enhance my desire
Make me tingle with your soft kisses

Own me
Mould me
Control me

Free me of inhibitions
School me in desire
Pleasure me

It’s not all about me
But of you and I becoming we

Sweet Citrus

I kissed July's hot tangerine lips
swam in cool aquamarine eyes
basked in blond and honey rays
dreamed in mango pomegranate sunsets
of lime hillsides and marmalade roses
Years of sweet citrus passed in golden hours

One day I woke
to find translucent eyes
in burnt sienna
as trees wept leaves
in burgundy and olive
Soon the eyes
were frozen in powder
Ashen shadows blew
across barren groves
of spindled spruce
and howled
with December's lonely moon
But from my fire lit window
I hold fast to memories
of daffodils and oranges
mingled with the burn
of lemon tears

A Resplendence of Sunflowers

As brief as summer you swept across my heart's desert like a Santa Ana wind's hot kiss. Now the eastern passes are still and gray as virgin rocks unto a land whispering of forgotten wildflowers. In your absence marigolds bloom not with the disappeared mockingbird. Only with the last petals of withered amaryllis do I ache: you brought me a translucence of amber for my burnished bouquet. Love was an ebullience of golden wheat, our laughter a resplendence of sunflowers. 1st Place Mid Summer Standard Contest Sponsor: Brian Strand 6/11/17

My Soul Belongs to You

I feel your spirit in the trees
        As your blessed birds
Surround me with their song.
        That first warm sip
Of morning tea,
        My closed eyes,
deep long breaths
        As I meditate and
I sense your divineness in me.

I feel your breath upon my cheek
        In a caressing breeze
That wanders by,
        That faintest floral scent
That lingers in the air
        Lets me know
You are everywhere.

I feel one with the rising sun
        As twilight skies
Gently morph from lavender to blue,
And your fingers of light behind
Silver clouds subtlety filters through.
        I am thrilled to spend
Another glorious day with you.

Sometimes I Feel Beautiful

Sometimes I Feel Beautiful
Driving along thinking about what I’m about to do brings a smile to my faceWithout a doubt my hair and nails make a big difference in the way I feel about myself! When I look pretty; I feel pretty.
Today my nails will be done in pink and white, oh yes, perfect they shall beNothing short of looking delicate and refined I tell myselfI am so excited; the anticipation brings joy into my heart and laughter to my lips!
My hair appointment is closing inHigh lights and shaping adds a playful and fun demeanorBeautiful is how it’s going to look and beautiful is how I’ll feelI almost need to pinch myself for I wonder is this really happening to me! Tears sting my eyes and giggles flow forthYes; this is my life and this is happening to me!
Thinking of my new makeup and how youthful I’m going to look brings joy into this heart of mineI can hardly wait to put it on as the excitement builds; I dance around and giggleI feel so beautiful thinking how perfect I’ll look with everything finished.
At times I tell myself, “I know he loves me, I can tell”The glowing in his eyes seems to sparkle with love and passionMy Heart beats a little faster as excitement and wonder fills my entire being! Yes, this is how it should always be, a life filled with joy and laughter.
Finding ways to look beautiful helps me feel beautifulIt’s this that causes me to giggle and dance aboutThe unbridled excitement loosened, flowing through my veins fills me with love and wantingTomorrow just maybe this joy will add new meaning and direction causing me to continue feeling beautiful..
                                                                                           Debbie Knapp

Essential Spirits

She was like Bordeaux,
a tall drink of spirit
He was more a hopped
pale lager like Pilsner,
both gorgeous and
super gingered flavors,
although clashing mid
respective savored aplomb,
one so refined the other
rowdy after hours,
yet they complimented
each other in the way
they blended their
drunken demeanors,
intoxicated by mere
existence of nature's
essential complexities

drifting plankton

I was thinking
of you touching my belly
in one moment in time,
and me kissing your shoulder
in another.

I was thinking
of talk
and whiskey,
the sound of bass
and shyness.

I have no wishes.
I was just thinking
how it could be
if the world stayed round
but got so much smaller,
for only one room to be,
for you and me.

Some night you'll wake before morning
Sweatin to the oldies she will sing.
She'll make you think you're in Heaven...
Long enough to tell you ANYTHING...

And you'll believe her.

Some night you'll wake up hearing voices
Sweatin to the oldies of here life.
She'll never say you're in Heaven.
Or tell you you've been sleeping with the Devil's Wife.

She'll never tell you, you've been sleeping with the Devil's wife.

But you will KNOW.
You will know.

That's when you'll need her.
That's when you'll love her the most.
That's when you will die.
Sleeping with the Devil's wife.

That's when you will die.

Our Full Moon

Tonight I bathe
   beneath your light
that's touched me
   once again.
Where in your glow
   I feel the flow
that runs inside
   my veins.
So cloudless sky
   please tell me why
my thoughts of you
   come and go?
On a night like tonight
   in the full moonlight
my howling love-
   cry echoes.

Love is nectar.
Love is heaven.
Heaven like home, we always need
where soul ever smiles,
never feels tension.
In love,
you are my music,
I am your musician.

Love is trust.
Love is hope.
Hope hands success
after little failure
or without any flop.
In love,
Your are my ocean,
I am your raindrop.

Love is life.
Love is relation.
Relation can only be cemented
with mutual trust
and extreme affection.
In love,
You are my ink,
I am your pen.

Love is thought.
Love is brain.
With a sagacious brain
we can fly to our goal
without any pain
In love,
You are my blood,
I am your vein.

Guilty Reflection

Looking dead at me in this smeared mirror...
a lost man
face red
and teared

stacking excuses
the longer I stare
this stress abuses
my conscience with a glare

a guilty reflection warns
my mind is the prison I fear
as I long to escape
from the hell I dwell in
right here

who have I become?
what have I done right?
crossroads appear suddenly
as fog fills the mirror tonight

darkness owning the room,
prefers I suffer slow
so I proceed with speed
because it’s the only way I know

tasteless stories
flood my life’s hard bound chapters
while this smeared mirror reflects tears
dripping from a face
which was once filled with laughter

The Bleeding Smoke Of Love

Under the cloud where the velvet smoke bled,
'Love's a curse' the smiling soul said;
The blood in the dwarf's heart then froze,
When an indecisive liar presented her the rose...

The fingers around which my ring would slide,
On the clod evening, she would be, my bride,
Breathing in, exhaling kisses, she'll be by my side,
Where on a heavy monster, we'll go off on a love's ride,
Behold, and kiss my eyes,
I don't crave to know the plight...

If ever, the delusion of this imagination doesn't lie an illusion,
On the naked dawn, I shall suck your lips; raping the confusions...
Words will then bleed letters,
As I look at my unsent love letters,
Each letter now the fire shall batter,
When your head's on my chest, nothing's better...

Let your naked breast touch my chest,
This is a dim light in the darkness of miles, called love,
Which gives plight, or rises all above,
Pull me closer, don't shove,
I'm the dead pegion, you're my dove!

Aromatic lingering scents Shadowed dancing from candlelights Touches of scattered roses Stings tickling the senses On the dim cool lights He held her slowly On her narrow waist He circled his arms He led her on the floor As music rises Filling the room He swayed her harmoniously Eye-to-eye, they behold a gaze Hands locked for support Hips and lips graceful With each hug and kiss Uniting with the rhythm Whispers one can audibly hear Movements conjoined Matching all push and pull Even glides and circles Breathing becoming ragged Exploration up for a crescendo Arms clutched as feelings rises up Temperature fires up, boiling fast Heartbeats thundering rush Clamoring for a liberated climax Then it explodes rigorously Unstoppable beyond reproach Time cease and freeze Sighing.Reviving deep Plunging with the moment's bliss...

Jewels of Love

When fearful voices in the night began to cry,
Roaring from countless dreams behind the scream,
Dribbled eyes gazing into darkness at the vast sky,
This darksome turn, down into a wet pool of frown.
Perhaps the living of everyday hurts so much
Being stuck in this world always fooling around,
Dredged with pain and despair of being watch,
Drowning with whatever pleasure can be found
But I feel far away from the depressed bridge
Hearing echoes of merry din sounds in the distance,
Lapping floating charge, cleared and cheered the barge.
Sent in the midst, to bring glorious untwist deliverance.
Into space where stars reside in overwhelming glory,
There is only thing in life more radiant and beautiful
As the reflections beaming from an infinite galaxy,
It is a sultry truth that slides down far into our soul.
The jewels of love shines brightest in the human heart,
With universal temptations from acres of diamonds,
Shining brightly in the vast atmosphere of perfect light
Filling all the void of emptiness with unique demands
Let love break down the walls that surround the region,
With the Eternal Light selected source of happiness,
And move belief to fill our days with deeper expectation,
By discovering love, the smoothest jewel of bliss.

Bitter Sips

I lay to waste
The sweetest lips
And drink to taste
The bitter sips

I close my eyes
To the beautiful face
And dream the lies
Away without a trace

I chose to stray
From the heart I hold
And put it away
Like the clothes we fold

I live with pain
From what I’ve done
And grasp in vain
Nothing under the sun….

My Secret Love Affair

Even though our time is just
A moment here and there
To me you’ll never be
The average everyday affair

I know I’m just a picture
In the memory of your mind
The girl you keep a secret
The girl you leave behind

There was a time I’d lay awake
And dream of you and I
There was a time I wanted more
There was a time I’d cry

For love is never easy
When it’s given just by one
Love is never easy
When for him it’s just for fun

Love is never easy
When you think that it’s for real
But when the spell is broken
It's not love, but lust you feel

Your dreams diminish one by one
Illusions fade away
And in their place reality
Has come to have its say

So now I know the secret
To a passionate affair
To just enjoy the moment
To live without a care

To take each moment as it comes
With eyes now open wide
But always with your secret love
You just enjoy the ride...

7,100 islands, you are made up..
Pearl of the orient seas, that's how you are..
Cradle of four civilization, historians says..
Only Christian nation, even they speak..

Abounded with vast green forests..
Surrounded by shallow to deep trenches...
Choose wether to white and black sands of beaches..
Each island is an enticement...

Every province has it's own native delicacy...
Each one is known for its festival felicity..
Poor as it may seem yet great in hospitality..
Enabling each tourist to feel welcome in grandiosity...

Look around, you will see a smile..
Scattered genuine friendship in mile..
Wether you are black, white or yellow skin..
They don't care as long as you're clean...

Clever and intelligent...
Creative and truly magnificent..
Small probably by height..
Yet, if known you'll be full in sight..

God fearing - spirited by nature..
Responsible enough for the future..
Families implants love to nurture..
Obviously seen in each Filipino creature...

When I'm Gone

When I’m Gone 11-14-2011
When I’m gone an angel will love you; at no time will you be aloneMy love remains surrounding you in a veil of
protection guiding youIn the silence my whispers of love float in the air
When I’m gone; with every breath, beside you an angel walksI told you, “I’m an earth angel”, now gone “I’m an
angel above”! My love now of the purest remains in your heartSo my love when I’m gone at no time will you ever
be alone; for an angel walks with you.
When I’m gone sleep soundly for beside you an angel laysI watch and listen while you sleepTaking great care
showering you with love and protection no harm will comeThrough the night dream, for my love awaits in all
things and places.
When I’m gone an angel will love you; at no time will you be aloneIf ever in need an angel will be there waiting to
hold and comfort, helping in every wayOpen your heart and experience the love of a heavenly angelLove so
strong it could never be parted now passes from an earth angel to a heavenly angel
When I’m gone my love, you still have me for beside you an angel walks!
                                                        Love Your Angel,

Your ocular perceivers are the most resplendent ones ever kenned to mankind, they are as abstruse as the ocean and yet so captivating, The word dainty was engendered when they have no words for your lips, Your smile gladdens the heart of a man as wine gladdens mans heart, Your voice bring ecstasy and drives out sorrows within the soul of the hearer, Your face is the most elegant impeccably proportioned in appearance, if an artist is to do one final piece of art, they would be probing for you because they ken it would be the impeccable pieceYour personality is so genial, fun, doting, and so alluringViewing your disrobement is like a thunderbolt of sexual pleasure even a dysfunctional man will stand erect by the view, Your voluptuous body is more than that of a damsel and Aphrodite is less resplendency compare to youI feel like I fulminated you cause I have degrade your resplendency by defining, describing, and comparing you with words of comelinessYou are not to be compared by or describe by any manCause your resplendency is that kind of resplendency beyond descriptionYou are crafted by God himself, the greatest artist of all timeThanks to your father and mother for not utilizing condom to bring out the definition of comeliness into this earthYou are the hyperbole of resplendency.

Today, i did get one year older...
Not anymore like a little toddler..
Right unto my two shoulders..
Not pebbles; nor stones; nor even boulders..

Boulders, not of familial responsibilities..
Rather it's outweighing my uncertainties..
Focusing myself to assets not of liabilities..
Uncovering, realizing my possibilities...

Vaguely maybe our future..
It's alright: soon it will be cleared as pictures..
Strong and aggressively acts like vultures..
I am more than them, as I am God's creature..

Distractions; ammunition alienation..
I do not agree even to imitation..
Continuously breathing in exaltation..
I do not mind if I'll be in exhaustion..

I denounce anything primal..
Yet, i still pray for all criminal..
Sometimes, i use to cope by denial..
Surpassing with all my might from any trial..

The love with in me is too compelling..
I can not stop cause I'm too willing..
As high as the enlightened ceiling.
I will respond politely and bravely to any calling...

Lying on the same bed holding their breaths.Even though makingup was in their hearts each guarded their pride. Each looked sideways glances mingled exploded in laughter. When anger was a crease in the brow and silence a catastrophe. When making upwas a mutual smile and a glance a gift. Now just look at this mess that you've made of that love. You grovel at my feet and I berate you and can't let my anger go.My lover get rid of your anger proud one. What have I done out of anger you haven't offened me.All offenses are mine so then why are you crying yourself hoarse in front of me.So what am I to you you're my darling no I'm not that's why I'm crying
