Weatherbound

Warmth shared inside the dog house
As red cheeked sisters play
Snug and safe from the snowy ground
Mischief dances like rays_

Protected from the wind and snow
Adults won't find them there
As they giggle away the hour
Secure without a care

Scarves, coats, and a Collie puppy
Heat within the shelter
A warmth based upon human love
Not on snowy weather

It's Party Time

It's party time again, my furry friends!
Come see the pretty table set for you!
With cups and saucers, teapot- my call sends
an invitation- now come all, please do!

Quick came two Tabbies, one Tuxedo cat,
and our sweet Border Collie, I call Sam-
along with Teddy, who so quickly sat
and growled, "Yes, I am furry too- I am!"

They pay attention to the tales I tell-
to entertain while we all sit and drink.
I know they like my stories very well-
they look at me with happy eyes that wink!

Oh, I'm so very happy when we meet-
enjoy our teatime fun, just them and me.
Our cozy gatherings are such a treat!
I share my love with them- not just my tea!

Collie

Truly loved him ever since he was young
That brown Collie is my sweet pet of mine
Lovely to look at when he shows his tongue
Don’t let him mad if he shows his rare fang.
Running nowhere in an old street line
He is there during my difficult times.
Doesn't talk but I feel his one great love
Our bond is as strong as these sweet chimes
Sweet as those most unforgettable limes,
My brown Collie is a gift from above!

Ode Meow the Kitten-

Ode mEOw the Kitten-

Kitty, kitty my kitten, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you sneer, wallow and trot,
Invading my mind all day through the night,
Always dreaming about the clever naught.

Let me compare you to a little spoon?
You are more furry, playful and jolly.
Mean sun heats the rightful peaches of June,
And summertime has the spiteful collie.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your soft paws and attitude.
Thinking of your blurry hands fills my days.
My love for you is the gay latitude.

Now I must away with a poly heart,
Remember my short words whilst we're apart.

My First Love

My very first girlfriend
Her name was Debbie Collie
I walked her back and forth to school
I wrote her a poem because she asked me to

It went like this:
I do not know what a poem is but I do know what I want, I want a new bike and a new basketball, a bunny rabbit but what I want most of all is just to be your friend.
After she read it she kissed me on the cheek we were friends until she moved away but I often think about her because she was, my very first love.
