Love Poem: Wishes Worth Forever

Wishes Worth Forever

Wishes Worth Forever

My first and foremost want abides beyond eternity.
Wish one would be to roam on high within Our Father’s home.
I would see in God’s abode, my “eternal family”
All of us together there where forever we could roam.
Beyond life’s mortal breath from God, eternity we’d comb.

Secondly, I would wish for love throughout humanity.
So boys and girls, yes, parents too would live in perfect peace.
Then days would fill with blissfulness, and human sanity.
While differences finds calm resolve and every hatred cease.
Respect for life and fellowman would flow with loves’ increase.

The third wish would be one for me, perfection it would be.
Where never would mistakes be made that hurt another soul.
A prayer within my heart would stay as wisdom I would see.
And strength to serve would be a joy with praises never told.
Living in harmony with God forever beyond old.

Three lovely wishes I would make for three is all I need.
To help me reach my heavenly goal; live with God on high.
In this life, I seek to live, my faith growing like a seed.
Forgiving self and others for mistakes made by and by.
As life goes on, as it is, I’ll press onward as I try.
