We Gave Their Future Away

Don't sell them short, for they are our tomorrow,
the children today, will be faced with this worlds sorrow.
Their time to control, what we leave behind,
I feel we have allowed others to steal us blind.
Safe schools to educate, and prepare their minds,
for a world of today, not seeing the signs.
Ten years down the road, seems like a blink of the eye,
our children will be asking, who did this, and why?
What will we tell them, how do we explain,
over population, and horrible crime.
It is coming, and that is a fact,
time only moves forward, and never back.
Maybe by a miracle, or maybe through prayer, "OH
that is another thing, we are not allowed to share. "
Leaders making laws, and changing the rules,
little ones today, are going to pay for those too.
Nothing will be left worth fighting for anymore,
all given away , when we opened America's door.
