Untitled 3

I’m not whole
But I’m sure that much you’ve been told
Whether by my mouth or others’
I’m sure you’d be better off with another
Because I’m hardly perfect
And I have no idea why you think I’m worth it
Your time and your energy, I mean
Could be better spent on other things
I don’t think you understand
That bad things and I go hand-in-hand
You see, we both have our fears
And we’ve shed our fair share of tears
And while I’m pretty sure you feel it, too
I’m not at all sure what to do
Because in the past I’ve been torn apart
And the last thing I need broken again is my heart
