Love Poem: Tsunami

Tsunami

For a hug and kiss I travel for miles,
To share my joy and alluring smiles,
Rolling over to touch your feet,
Wondering the moment of our meet,
Wanna hold your hands and travel long,
Walk along the sea shore singing a song,
To stay with you for countless years,
A beautiful love tale whispers in ears,
To lie on your chest over the poking grains,
The skies and clouds bless us with rains,
My wedding gown spreads in white,
And you with a sandal suit look so bright,
My friends and relatives gathered close,
With Jasmine, Lilly, Scarlet rose,
To bid goodbye and send me off,
To my in laws place forever to laugh,
But dad and mom with worries so high,
Never wished their daughter to marry that guy,
Anger and grief made them wild,
They were not willing to lose their only child,
My mom rose with tremors so strong
Those waves struck the seabed and made things wrong,
Huge crowd gathered to chase,
I ran for life like a race,
Saw my prince with joy and belief,
Finally found a sigh of relief,
The first step crossing my belt,
What a turbulent sound and shock I felt,
My furious mom and forceful dad,
Hit my love very callous and mad,
So very violent so very brutal,
All are struggles turned futile,
Destroyed in seconds was my dream,
I could hear only shriek and screams
My love lay on the ground half dead,
I could see his body full of blood,
Just because of the love for me,
He fought a war called Tsunami,
On 26th December 2004,
The day we longed to join and pour,
No more a celebration of colours,
But a black day for so many kids and mothers,
From then we never wished to reunite,
For cries of people haunted us every night,
Now he lives there and I live here,
Both our hearts beats to share,
But we look each other only from distance,
A marriage between Land and Water never in existence.
