Love Poem: True Loving

True Loving

True Loving

The sun goes down.
Then, artificial lights come on.
And ambiance of love steals the day.
Young lovers dream—
Strolling beneath the stars.

Fluttering Luna moths
Display their emerald wings.
While fireflies sparkle in the dark.
Old couples sit serene.
Reminiscing beneath the moon.

Children playing hide and seek
Soon shall leave the dark.
While gathering around for inside fun,
Their cheery laughing starts.
Parents watch their children play.
Until the clock strikes eight—

Promptly said, “Scoot, get dressed for bed.”
Baths, hugs, kisses, scriptures, prayers...
Story told; kids tucked in right.
Children, soon, are sleeping tight.
Then…true loving starts.
