Love Poem: True Love's Bloom

True Love's Bloom

I'd never drawn a breath until we met
And that one taken at the sight of you
The rest were lost to conversation, set
On planning our initial rendezvous ...

We drove into the mountains in my "B"
Our lover's picnic, near the waterfall ...
At dusk, a drive-in that we'd longed to see
(Tho' I don't think we saw the film at all)

Then late that sultry evening in the pool
I tasted drops of moonlight from your skin
And though the water kept our bodies cool
We shared your carnal fire ... deep within

How passionate, the nights since then with you ...
No wonder that our love remains ... as true.
