True Love Vs Self-Delirium

When the balloon of laughter expands to its peak
And repels its inherent fears far
When competition seems to be extinct
And a man thinks he’s found his love
When a man’s heart is totally shielded
From the arrows of heartbreak
He swims in unrelenting delirium
Of a never-ending love

When the sunset seems to fade
And the sun rises for another man
When my angel’s eyes are open
To multifarious potential lovers
When I realize my lady is pretending
As if I am all her heart can take
But I see her smile that smile
To another man I loathe
I keep the cool and take watch

When my fear is finally evident
And my lady is in another man’s arms
When my heart is burning ablaze
With dark and bitter jealousy
When my angel is now the demon
Who put my life in asunder
 I finally allow the elements
To dictate the end of a once true love

My conscience now dances in gladness
Of a truth once warned
The hard and bitter truth
That there is no such thing
As true love but self-delirium!
