True By

northwest winds across prairie and plains a tough of snow nature rests tree raise their naked arms sky covered by gray an open book of poems in a café this is my song a waitress, a special brew, I’ve come in from the cold my favorite dish served with a smile distractions from sports show on the television screen but who’s keeping score memories shared sparrows dance on the sidewalk in front memories bared a gentle touch I’m young once more
