Touching Snow

Touching snow is fun
Touching snow it cold
But one thing for sure
Its what keeps us fascinated

I went to the park
Its darker then dark
The fountain in the middle
Is softly rushing water

The owner of the park
Looks at me annoyed

'One more hour
Mr. Hayes' i call

he shrugs and walks away.

He leave and knows that it will take longer

Siting there i start to cry
No one ever said good bye

They not to me
Nor i to them

Many years ago
the time and date of today
i lost my family
in this park

shooting, shouting
three people on the floor

With eyes so full of tears
i get up to walk home

and there at the far end of the park
there you stand

knowing all my pain and suffering
you've been there from the start
don't know why i thought you bad
your just there to help

but that night before i left
 you walk up and ask
'are you OK?'

and at that time I'm a child again
daddy would ask
are you OK? when i got hurt
and here you are so helpful
so loving

now i remember what
Toughing snow was like
