Love Poem: Touched In the Wind

Touched In the Wind

Fluttering - falling - then rising again
Passion to loneliness, happiness when
Hate from love, then back to a friend
Souls that know, and Valentine’s send

Hindsight - insight, soul mates move on
Chambers of love empty, lives lived long
Cascades of rain, salty lips wanting kissed
Souls that touched, but two hearts, missed

Soul time - heart time – then no time at all
Daylight to midnight, cold in winter’s shawl
Openness and honesty, could this have been
The truth may have killed us, but our souls:
           TOUCHED IN THE WIND!
