Love Poem: Too Much To Handle

Too Much To Handle

Can you alienate the one you want,
by following her too closely through rain and hail?
Or putting pressure on her by giving gifts too early,
That seem to indicate you are two,
Before she signals she wants that deepness,
since distance and circumstances won't allow,
that degree of sweetness.
But what if your heart says it can be right.
Shouldn't you put up a mighty fight?
If she's the one,
your looking near and far,
could be done.
The key is a bridge that together can be built,
more then flowers given, that eventually wilt.
This keeps the walkway of spirits intact.
Since once spirits dance,
there is no turning back.
To deny such an attraction,
is to invite sadness and inaction.
A true travesty of a gift,
given from above,
the chance for the real thing,
unconditional love.
