Love Poem: Tomorrow

Tomorrow

You've closed your eyes now and given
your love to this day
and now you're sleeping soundly
there's so much that I want to say.

I'm sorry I didn't visit longer
if you begged me for just one more
chance I would have came
I regret ignoring you and truly
awash with the shame.

And sometimes I know I got shouty
your bottom lip trembled with tears
I hope that you know I didn't mean it
it's one of my deepest fears.

Tomorrow, I promise to be kinder
and not stare at people walking on the ground
I will carry you in my heart as a reminder
listening for every sound.

I want you to know you were amazing
invigorating in every way
you showed me what life was about
you're blazing light, lead thru the day.

Your laughter filled me with gladness
your smile more brighter than the sun
I could sit and watch you for hours
A beautiful, face that shun on.

Please never doubt how much I loved you
Photo's of you make my heart swell
the way that your cheek curves so plumply
that wonderful, soft scented smell.

So sleep tight, I'm always with you
dreaming of a life filled with fun
knowing one day dreams will come true
I'd do anything for one last cuddle.
