Love Poem: To Depressed

To Depressed

There isn't much that I can say
and you wouldn't listen anyway.
He has shown you plainly dear that he
is not what you would have him be.
How many hang-ups does it take?
Forget him now for your own sake.
Your children are but four and three,
you must be the best that you can be
to give them all they need to grow
and teach them all they need to know

No man is worth the tears you've shed.
It doesn't work, the life you've led.
Put your children first and then yourself
and selfish boyfriends on the shelf.
Someday when you least expect it,
it may be that you'll be connected
to a real man who will want to woo you
and do all things you like to do.
As for the children's daddys, they
should be taken to court and forced to pay.
