Shadowed memories, I try to recall,
darkened by pain, and emotions so raw.
You were a player, I knew from the start,
I thought I could change you, with this loving heart.
Some things were never meant to be,
I wasn't enough for you, but you were for me.
Heartbroken and crying, my world just stopped,
you didn't notice, too busy, hop, hop, hop.
Running around with all the girls,
my head was spinning, I was on a tilt- a whirl.
I guess that is why those memories aren't strong,
my heart couldn't take that abuse very long.
