Through the Years
( THROUGH THE YEARS )
They sat on the porch swing, remembering years of past.
They held their hands and reminisce`d, the time went by so fast.
50 years of love and pain, but they stuck it out together.
Hot and cold they been through it all, all kinds of weather.
They loved each other like the 1st day, a couple so in love.
They both at the same time, gave their life to the good lord above.
they communicated when it was needed, trust was always there.
On no matter what they did each day, they always tried to share.
Life changed in multiples, technology wasnt the same.
They missed the ways of the old world, yes it was a shame.
3 children made them laugh and cry, their lives were a blessing.
They wanted more kids, but the Lord left them second guessing.
Her husband worked 30 years, not a day did he regret.
A passion for the both of them, not a tear that was spent.
A lifetime together celebrating, they had little if any fears.
They looked each other in the eyes, through the years.
