Thoughts of You
I’ve been thinking lovely thoughts of you
My heart swells with pride, growing a smile
Happy our bond blossomed after awhile
It takes some love and determination too
To weather the storms of our crazy family life
But sometimes our damaged hurt goes deep
A connection you just can’t begin to even keep
Yes, we had our tiffs that cut deep like a knife
So now I’m blessed ~ We’ve healed quite a bit
A couple years it’s been that we had to reflect
Took our time to feel deeply and reconnect
And I’m overjoyed and grateful we didn’t quit
