Love Poem: Thorns

Thorns

I thought I was over you
I have a love new
but you waltz back into my life again
Asking how I am
Your still beautiful is a rose
all my weaknesses you know
Your touch sways me to sin
I wish I could hate you more
hate you forever as I swore
But your embrace reveals who I am

I am that fool so in love with you
who threw away his life all for you
I love you so much so much I could die
even the beauty of a rose cannot hide
The thorns that pierce and breaks my heart
Haunted memories of our past love
going crazy for your love
Tormented and falling apart

Don't kiss me as before
Don't reopen my hearts door
For now I love someone new
Her love may not be
All I desire or need
But her love saved me from you
Please go away for good
I loved you once all I could
Our past love still torments me
It is over let us be
Pull away your thorns that rip my heart
Pull out those thorns so razor sharp
Your my rose I forever close
in the recesses of my memory
