There's Something About a Cat
There's something about a cat that's gentle, kind,
with mystic eyes that see into your soul.
He seems to know the thoughts inside your mind,
because you see, he's really in control.
He guards your love to take as he sees fit.
That's not to say he doesn't surely care.
He bonds himself to you with love and wit;
to not give in, you wouldn't think or dare.
How treasured are the times you hold him near...
with arms and paws wrapped 'round, he licks your nose,
as soothing purrs and sweet meows so dear
fill up your heart with warmth to ease your woes.
There's something about a cat that's gentle, kind...
a better furry friend you'll never find.
