The Woman That I Need

I've seen that look in your eyes before.
You don't even say nothing and you hit the door.
Just tell me, baby, as I look in your eyes.
Why do we have to go on living this lie?

We made our vows complete.
But one night of ecstasy.
Has turned your heart away from me.
All that we shared was true.
But now when I look at you.
You aren’t the woman that I need.

So go on now, girl, and see him like you always do.
And come on back to me with that cheap perfume.
I guess it’s plain to me that you’ve picked your man.
But before you leave help me understand

Cause we made our vows complete.
But one night of ecstasy.
Has turned your heart away from me.
All that we shared was true.
But now when I look at you.
You aren’t the woman that I need.

I guess all that’s left to do is pray.
For God to help take this sorrow away.
But as for the way I feel, I’ll tell you the truth.
Nobody can take my love for you.

We made our vows complete.
But one night of ecstasy.
Has turned your heart away from me.
All that we shared was true.
But now when I look at you.
You aren’t the woman that I need.
