Love Poem: The Wizard

The Wizard

He calls me his "Lion-faced Goddess."
We sit under the Tree Of Life &
swim in the River Of Knowledge.
He says, "Some day you will be my wife."

I save him from drowning.
His anger floods my eyes with tears.
He was willing to die, to learn the river's secrets.
If he dies, I die. It's been like that for years.

We have been lover's for centuries.
He is the shore. I am the sea.
The moon controls our destiny.

The Wizard has cast a spell on me.
His eyes summon the flame in my heart.
Melting icy walls to reveal passion.
He says, "Your my muse & we'll never part."

I dread the coming of the sun.
It signals that it is time to go.
My soul must return to its shell.
I'll wake up alone again...I know.
