Love Poem: The Wild Flowers

The Wild Flowers

In the country she and I spied
Wild flowers growing in a field
Urgently casting thoughts aside
We ran with passion unconcealed

The pure beauty of these flowers
Captured our hearts which quickly beat
To restrain was within our powers
But abandoned in summer's heat

Blooms softly dancing in the breeze
We viewed as a gift from above
Radiance that could be but a tease
Compared to our young hearts love!
