 Johnny loved June.
  I loved you the way,
 The sun loves the moon.

 Pleasure loves pain.

 The desert loves the rain.

 The needle loves the spoon.

 Early morning loves noon.

    I loved you the way,
   Bone tired loves to sleep.
     I loved you the way,
   The shallow loves the deep.

    I loved you the way, 
    Above loves below.
     I loved you the way,
   A heart loves a soul.

    I loved you the way, 
   A shopper loves a sale.
     I loved you the way,
   The devil loves his hell.

   The dark loves the bright.

   The maiden loves her knight.
