The Touch of Her Love

All the angels live in heaven, they say, maybe in the astral beauty they glow as the sparkling stars in the milkyway, they often time descend on earth, I know. How have I come to know, you may ask me, I’ve seen the golden heart of my mother as glowing as the shining stars can be, she nurtured me, the flower didn’t wither. In unsure troubled times we were adrift, she toiled to find a mooring she thought best. To my storm-struck life she gave precious gift to build my future from a secured nest. She kept me in the shadow of her wings, my candle’s flame the winds couldn’t blow away. My heart feels her love’s touch memory brings, for she sculpted me as what I’m today She’s gone to her peaceful home long ago, when at night I see the north star glisten like a guide in my last journey, I know, with the angels she resides in heaven. _______________ August : 31, 2021 Contest : The One Who Touched My Meart Sponsor : Regina McIntosh
