Love Poem: The Tale of Two

The Tale of Two

A reflection of a great poet,
I've seen every time I looked at you,
so seductive your voice hypnotised me,
I'd always look at you and wonder,
travelled back so that I could see if this was really me,
Remember how we met?
Over a piece of paper
We were the only ones left
Like innocent teens falling in love
For the first time
We both rushed to it
Pulled it on both sides and it stuck
Without a choice we looked
Straight into our eyes
Gazed like having a first kiss
I smiled, you reflected it
Like Shakespeare's first sight
We walked on stanzas
And jumped back to reality
We found ourselves holding hands
Like girls catch up
Our conversation flowed
So beautiful you were
As time went by
I found myself loving you
Unfortunately you couldn't
Believed I could try harder
But I was at my peak
And you kept on reflecting
The "I know you can do better"
Reaction on my way of loving
Not knowing what to do
I was consistent
Appeared unserious to you
Reflection of a great poet
I've seen in your eyes
Remember how we met?
Over a piece of paper
