The Sun Sets
Perhaps the morning sun,
painting the clouds and waters in stunning hues,
or perhaps the rainbow,
after watering the world to blossom anew.
Maybe the ebony night's stars,
diamond points blazing in the blackness of time,
can describe your beauty,
that I see when I gaze your genuinely smiling face.
And perhaps the rain,
cleansing the world and nourishing all,
or the gentle breeze,
providing a refreshing respite, keeping the bugs at bay,
or even a beautiful tempest,
storms cleansing out the detritus and unhealthy of the Earth ...
so do you look after and care,
with love, with care and with strength born of necessity.
As with Mother Nature
you are powerful, you are beautiful, you are you,
and you are strong.
You are needed, you are loved, and you are sought out.
You are of this Earth
and you are a kin to Mother Nature in her beauty.
She may make the sun rise,
but the sun sets on you.
