The Suffering Still Cry...
Remnants of a time spent
as soot leeched on chimney walls
charred remainders of love lost
ashes now in their return
burnt offerings suffer no more
Tired and oh so weary
hungry yet can not eat
thirsty but can not drink
love yet amongst the loveless
where's the love?
where is our promise of love?
not here...not on this earth...
and such a beautiful mother earth
yet...what do we love?
we walk away from our great mother
and suckle on poisonous roots
unforgiving are the treacherous traitors
imposters of love...imposing a sad legacy
whats left?
it's over but the weeping......
