The Stone Heart Beats

it takes a beauty to take down a beast...seduced and reduced
famines turn into feasts
there's a crack in my wall made of steel and stone
it gets bigger and the sun shines brighter every time i see her alone
my mind rages like a river
my thoughts race like shooting stars and spinning twisters
good boys don't cry and bad boys never take that one way ticket ride into sweet surrender
chasing fantasies...helpless and hopeless...exposed and froze...raw and rendered
the stone heart beats...tough as a tyrant now weak and tender

it gets lonely at the top and the bottom...king to a servant...pickin the devils cotton
heart once rancid and rotten...rock solid and frozen...i must be one of loves few and chosen
still posing for the picture...she makes her prediction just like a scripture
her poetry and prophecy comes to pass...just like a savage storm
the stone heart beats...as i drown in her floods and stay scorched in her heat

it gets deeper and darker as my thoughts now divide...fools rush in but i wanna be wise
i fall from her sky set deep in her eyes and throw caution to the wind
temptation...the sin...hang on...can't win
i grab her by the wings and make destiny dreams and sexual screams
no end to the means...once the subliminal criminal
the stone heart beats...blood,sweat,and tears fill the next scene
