The Shadows
Life's a game,
that all of us have to play.
It just seems to get harder,
with the dawning of each new day.
It's like I'm in the background,
watching everyone go by.
Do I reach out to meet them,
or is it even worth it to try.
Pain is the only feeling,
that now fills my heart.
Will I find love again,
will I even begin to start?
Face's are all shadows,
and their hearts you can't see.
Is that because of fear,
or the pain that's inside of me?
Am I too eager for love,
that I push them all away.
I just want to find one,
that by my side she will stay.
My heart gets hurt,
and it's all full of pain.
To keep going on,
starts to feel like there's nothing to gain.....
