The Second Shadow

"If someone makes the second shadow for you, don't let it melt away." Quote-By Poet.
The lone candle of my life burnt in swirling wind, flickered faintly enmeshed in opaque night’s dark lace. In the reflection of your mirror I could find the momentary flash of my mind on your face. In the glow of its flame saw my love illumine the dense darkness in our midst that dissolved away. You played on strings of your heart the music of mine that echoed in my mind’s dark alley of dismay. My yearning sparkled in gleam of your inner light, made for me of my lone life the second shadow, entwined with my essence, never went out of sight. When I lost my shadow in fusion, I didn’t know. Un-noticed the last glint faded out in time’s squall that blew out your lamp I kept beside me for years. I saw around me the shroud of sad darkness fall, my second shadow melted away in my tears. The lone candle of my life burnt in swirling wind, in the glow of its flame saw my love illumine my yearning sparkled in gleam of your inner light, un-noticed the last glint faded out in time’s squall.
