Love Poem: The Road Ahead

The Road Ahead

This is the road I wish to travel ahead,
Lying on the beach with a drink on a sunbed,
Spending more time on some books I’ve not read,
With a big ole umbrella casting shade my bald head,
And an Esky at hand with a chicken and fresh bread,
Then I’ll take a nice long nap once I’m read and I’m fed

I’d like to watch my boys growing wiser and older,
Meet a beautiful girl and they keep and they hold her.
Any burden they have I will help them to shoulder,
If their too close to flames the embers i’ll smoulder
I’ll shield them from storms in the winter gets colder,
Move heaven and earth shift sands or a boulder.

Here’s some more thoughts with you I will share,
I’m in love with a Minxy with beautiful blonde hair.
Her body so shapely I can’t help it but stare,
So I wear sunglasses and pretend it’s the glare,
But she loves when I look so I don’t really care.
I’ll do anything for her and will lay my soul bare.

A life full of love is the life I desire,
Big hugs from my boys and their kids I aspire.
Or take them all camping and eat round the fire.
A day spent in bed with my love I won’t tire,
That’s one thing in life I will never retire,
For being old and alone I am sure would be dire.

A healthy lifestyle is the road ahead for me.
No deep fried food or MacDonalds you’ll see,
Only a plate full of Fish, Brown Rice and
fresh Veggie.
And to finish it off just a nice cup of Tea.
Gone are the days of a Grog or Food spree.
I’m living my life totally clean and drug free.
