The Rare Moment
Sitting here enjoying the hard cascading rain
streams pouring down the very clear window pane
Thoughts streaming around the light in my head
still groggy a bit from a late rise from my bed
Awaiting the hot coffee that will singe my brain
like that sweet victory over hurt, a precious pain
Sitting here enjoying this most precious morn
so very happily pleased my wonderful son was born!
