tis not the reason why
or even the moment when
our glances first met
and we uttered half words
nor was it the initial kiss
when taking my hand drawing me near
or the call to say you were home
telling me tenderly good night
twas that one fine day with a playful note
somehow my teasing words sparked in you
leading us to the timing all was true
I came home to a sign from sun and moon
the returned note of play was one heartbeat
such a light and rush will live forever strong
it's safely in my box of our private treasures
it was that moment when I knew I loved you
